  • Interesting experiment! I agree with laurifilar though. Of course a larger insert will absorb more liquid so I would like to see it broken down into ratio of water weight to cloth weight to be able to compare all of them side by side. This is similar to say the cost per unit at the grocery store. It's hard to tell which is the "best value" of two cereals for instance if they come in different sized boxes unless you compare the cost per unit. Thanks!

  • Thanks for doing this, but one thing that is lacking...the ounce water:ounce material absorbancy ratio. In other words...Which gives you the most bang for your buck (or bulk, in this case?) I could figure this out for you, if you listed the dry weight of all the items used. I am most interested in how much an insert of hemp vs. a similarly sized cotton (or bamboo) insert will hold.

  • I don't see where it actually says how much they absorbed - am I missing something??

  • @porcupine8 Hmmmm, let me look into what's going on. Thanks for letting me know!

  • Thank you so much for this! How many of these are thicker than a typical microfiber insert (like the FuzziBunz inserts)? I am looking for something with more absorbency then the FB but without more bulk.

  • This is great!! I'm going to order a little lions prefold right now. Thank you sooo much!!
