  • Try this form of E after the intro bars... it's more suited to the song..harder, but better

  • good post.....thanks for sharing the info!

  • Cool tips Im getting ready to put this one up tonight!

  • look forward to it - great tune!

  • I see A lot of people are using the Fulldrive... maybe I'll check one out. Currently I'm getting good results from a Mudhoney into a Laney 5 watt class A amp. I'm not familiar with the Xotic clean boost.. will have to research. Thanks again for the lesson and again... monsterous tone you have in that rig (and your fingers of course!). ;-)

  • sounds like a GREAT rig! I love the TRex stuff and the MH I think is a killer pedal...i think you would like the Xotic RC Booster - mine never goes off. All the best with your music,

    dale

  • Great lesson... You play some of the chords differently than some other tutorial on YT but I think yours is spot on. My band mates and I were at a bar the other day listening to this awesome musician (Buddy Whittington.. played with Mayal, etc).. and they played this song. I KNEW we had to cover it and started trying to woodshed the song the very next day. What a rocker and the lyrics are awesome too. Tell me though... what pedal are you using to get that superb growl!? HUGE balls!!

  • sure appreciate the kind post and great story!!! Yea i love this tune and i know folks will love hearing your guys cover it - i'm using a Fulldrive 2 pedal and Xotic clean boost. All the best with your music,

    dale

  • Love that you picked this song...so that it doesn't sound choppy, I find I have more luck just sliding from third to fifth fret to go from G to A...the "slide" from fret to fret is kind of a recurring theme here from opening chords throughout the solo

  • i agree - gives is a nice full sounds doesn't it - great to hear about your playing and i appreciate you giving this a look........keep rockin!

    dale

  • I watched the "Live from Hard Rock" last night..it was great. Every song is a hit. The two guitar attack with Mick and Howard Leese was just fantastic !!!

  • i'd love to see that!! Being looking for it on DVD - thanks for the post!!

    dale

  • @loduck wanted to see them in Tulsa at the hard rock casino but i had to go to my brother in laws wedding i'm sure i missed a great concert!

  • hope you catch them soon....that would have been a cool show. I've never seen them live and it's on the Bucket List! Hope all is good,

    dale

  • hate to ask......but it sure would be nice for you to work the lead out on this for us that are not good enough to figure it out on our own :) you da' man !!

  • no problem asking - i'll give it another listen - i don't spend a lot of time working out solos note for note. All the best with your music,

    dale

  • ALWAYS enjoy your videos !! had a re-newed interest in this song after seeing Bad Co on tv the other night.....thanks for sharing...please kepp 'em coming !!

  • You're about the only other person (besides myself) that I've seen play power chords with their pinky instead of ring finger. I find it so much more comfortable and versatile. Nice video on a song I hadn't really every thought about learning. Always like Good Lovin' Gone Bad by BC.

  • hello and thanks for watching the video and it's great to hear we play power chords 'the right' way!!!!

hope all is good and all the best with your music,

    dale

  • That would be Miss...and your welcome!

  • opps!!! i'm VERY sorry...please forgive me and keep rockin!

    humbly yours,

You're lessons are quite good and appreciated much. Bad Company rocked.

  • you are kind to watch and your post is greatly appreciated! Bad Co is just sort of in my bones i guess - PR voice is just it for me - all the best with your music!

    dale

  • Oh man, what an underated classic. that's what I call heavy metal, but I guess now-a-days it isn't. Loved how you broke it down--I can see millions of new guitarist saying I got to learn that! Rock on! Dice

  • these songs are just kind of frozen in time for me - take me back to first years of guitar when this was what we heard on the radio! Now it's called classic rock - i think that makes me old! that's okay Mr. Paul Rodgers sounds just as good to me today.

hope you guys are well and warm - spring is on the way my friend!!

    dale

  • Hah! Spring? We have 2-3 months more winter. All depends on mother nature. She hasn't dumped her ususal 100+ of snow yet. I appreciate your optimism. Rock on my friend!
