Mine didn't have a flat face either.. the flat face is a breed standard. it doesnt mean it's mixed.. But it wouldnt be good for breeding or showing.

Himalayan's are considered a variety of persian, so if it said Himalayan Persian, it is not a mix.

@dancergirlmh I'm not real familiar with cat breeds but I have a certificate from the breeder that was sent from some cat fanciers association, kind of like a birth certificate for cats and also used for breed authenticity and on it it say's bluepoint himalayan persian. So I guess to answer your question it's a mix of the two breeds. And i'm guessing it probably gets it's rounded face from the persian.

@dancergirlmh The extremely flat face is a fairly recent modification of the breed. It's up for debate which is more appealing, I personally prefer the earlier lines with this type of face, it's more natural and suffers fewer sinus problems. Both types are "purebred", just different genetic lines.

ITA. I also prefer Himalayans & other Persians to have nice round muzzles (as opposed to squished-in, flat faces).

Our last cat was a blue-point Himmie named. She was a very sweet and gentle little thing and she also had a round muzzle. Her name was Cygni, BTW.

And I understand that cats with flat faces often have respiratory problems because they don't have real noses.

My Mom and I got one when it was only like two weeks old cause it's mom died but since we became it's mommy, it loves us soooooooo much and we're all so tight, what a lovebale and cuddily cat he has become. :) Enjoy the kitten stage while it lasts, it's soooooo much fun and soooo cute, but it goes sooooo quickly! :)
