Yeah, definitely not a trailer. Probably won't see a trailer until 2011-2012 since the first movie isn't due out until 2012. Plus Peter Jackson is not directing The Hobbit (he is a exec. producer). And we all know the Hobbit didn't come out in 2006 :D

I'm very excited though, I read the Hobbit and I'm glad they decided to split it into 2 movies (I would be content with 3 movies). Hopefully they can shove all the possible Tolkien folklore at us in 2 long movies though.

not a fake, yes they are clips from the trilogy, but they are making, or trying to make, the Hobbit into a movie but Christopher Tolkien is trying to stop them because his family still hasn't been paid their share of the profits ffrom the trilogy. If all goes well the Hobbit should be released in 2011.
