Mach 1 = 305hp @ 5800rpms and 320 ft. lbs of torque @ 4200 rpms.
The Mach 1 will run a slightly faster 1/4 mile stock due to the torque (assuming they both have the same rear end) They also put it in the Lincoln Aviator (tuned differently)

@turbofox85 lightning is faster stock and easier to make fast for cheap. the marauder needs a blower to be fast or other power adder while a few bolt ons and a pulley swap on the lightning and your runnin 12s. dont get me wrong i love maruders but the first thing i would do is the 03-04 cobra blower on it thats how they should of came anyway! if they would of came blown stock i mite of had a maruder and not a trailblazer ss
i don't care what anyone says, the CV and the Marauder are badass cars with Gobs of potential, AND because there's so much room in them, there's room to play with, i.e. Bigger engines, stronger trannys, and even 4wd if you want to go that route...i've never seen it, but i'm sure SOMEONE has done it :)

@wkLeoTrooper The Classic Ford engine 429 sure, but with new technology. In 2011 They have a 302 with 412 horsepower making it stronger and more efficient than a 429 by far. Best ford engine to tune and go performance with is clearly a 289 or 4.6L. I drove a Marauder today, they are undeniably some of the sickest cars I have ever driven. You wanna talk about a sleeper, holy shit.

My dad's has a 4:10 gear, twin screw engine was bored out a little, and its best time was 11.93 @ 118. He also accidentally had the air conditioning on, and the spare tire and extra junk in the trunk. this guy ran a 12.11 @ 90.
One more time....it's a 4.6, basically a Mach 1 automatic or Aviator engine (cast crank) with an Eaton-based Trilogy Motorsports supercharger. Good night, I got SO tired of him saying "5.4" over and over again.
i'm guessin ram-air, i myself once removed a headlight(the high beam) on an older model crown vic i was working on, used the hole to attach my homeade ram-air tube and boy did it make a difference!! unfortunately i sold the car and i kick myself everyday for doing so. Maybe it is the inlet for the supercharger...perfect spot too, lots of cool air being rammed in there =D

its based off the cobra engines..... its based from the mach 1's and aviators..... it does have the 4V heads though..... besides its not a fair race cause its a stock gt next to a supercharger 4V marauder

All the hassle and extra weight isn't worth it IMO. Supporting mods and a Trilogy will get the Marauders in the 600rwhp range. Aside from doing anything crazy like a custom turbo kit, that is about as much HP I have seen squeezed into one. They weigh 4300lbs... if someone spent a little more time putting one on a diet I am sure it would be quicker. My Marauder is staying real close to stock... racing days are over for now.
whats funny about that i heard the v10 actually dont weigh that much more than the 4.6L and in some cases the 5.0 was alot heavier but then again it is word of mouth so i gotta take that info like its a grain of fart dust, but props on keeping your marauder stock cant wait to get mines someday or at least a grand marquis lse and throw in a cobra motor
I don't know who would tell you the Ford Triton 6.8L V-10 weighs just a little more than a 4.6L V8. LOL The most popular swap I have seen on these cars is a 03/04 Cobra motor. The iron block and blower puts around 100lbs extra on the front end without factoring the weight of the intercooler and brackets. I would build the Aluminum engine (block can handle 1000 no problem).

Its actually the left headlight but to answer your question......... Some people with Marauders take that light out when they have a Cold air intake system...... The air filter for the CAI sits right behind that headlight. So when its out you get better airflow.

The 5.4 Liter was actually considered but wouldn't fit in the engine bay,,,but for a racing fan that knows cars...he should have known better. The Mustang driver had bad reaction time: it was the driver that was beaten, not the car

@Bongwater123 Dude, when bone stock, they won't even spin the tires while power-braking, who are you kidding, Ford should've spent a little more money on the damn engineering and put the Lighting 5.4 in it, if it'd performed the 1/4 in low-mid 13s instead of high 15's/low 16s, then maybe more of the public would've given a shit about this cool-looking but under-performing boat anchor.
It's stupid decisions like this that resulted in the demise of Mercury.

you can get a 4.6L(281ci) motor stroked to 5.4L (330ci), i have seen several marauders with this upgrade so he probably wouldnt be wrong to say it has a 5.4

All the hassle and extra weight isn't worth it IMO. Supporting mods and a Trilogy will get the Marauders in the 600rwhp range. Aside from doing anything crazy like a custom turbo kit, that is about as much HP I have seen squeezed into one. They weigh 4300lbs... if someone spent a little more time putting one on a diet I am sure it would be quicker. My Marauder is staying real close to stock... racing days are over for now.

whats funny about that i heard the v10 actually dont weigh that much more than the 4.6L and in some cases the 5.0 was alot heavier but then again it is word of mouth so i gotta take that info like its a grain of fart dust, but props on keeping your marauder stock cant wait to get mines someday or at least a grand marquis lse and throw in a cobra motor

I don't know who would tell you the Ford Triton 6.8L V-10 weighs just a little more than a 4.6L V8. LOL The most popular swap I have seen on these cars is a 03/04 Cobra motor. The iron block and blower puts around 100lbs extra on the front end without factoring the weight of the intercooler and brackets. I would build the Aluminum engine (block can handle 1000 no problem).

it IS a 4.6L V8 with a dual overhead Cam(DOC) producing 302HP the same engine(with extra cam) as the mustang V8 and the crown vic's. this is,of course, stock im sure he has some other shit under the hood, the marauders are bad ass...

Its actually the left headlight but to answer your question......... Some people with Marauders take that light out when they have a Cold air intake system...... The air filter for the CAI sits right behind that headlight. So when its out you get better airflow.

Pat is right, the 4.6 is a 281, unless you were referring to the stock HP of the 4.6 DOHC, which was 302 in the marauder, but given the fact this car is OBVIOUSLY not stock, the 302 is meaningless in any and all attempts to sound knowledgeable about this particular engine. FAIL.

Sorry....wrong again.....The Marauder comes with a 4.6 4v motor that cranks out 302 hp out of the factory on 281 cubic inches....this particular Marauder sounds like it has a Trilogy blower on it...which is a roots type blower...the Marauder is more like the Mach 1 motor than the Cobra motor...
