  • Curry was the number athelete in the country coming into to UNC-they were going to go somewhere with him on the team!

  • 1:32 "Look at Mills here, he's helpless..."

  • Jesus... He dropped that dude.

  • If from hampton and played against ronald. he went to unc because he thought he is better at bball, unc is a bball school that produces nba players, the truth is he didnt have that much of a jumper, and while playn football his bball game fell off. if most smart people are givin the choice of nba or nfl they will take nba cus its way less physical and thats what curry did but he just fell off

  • 2 fag schools. remember when ron curry was voted into the nfl and nba hall of fames when he was in high school? how'd that work out?

  • Are you forgetting the Position Change he made when he got to the NFL?

  • #6 threw the go a head block...haha

  • The greatest player to EVER come out of va. Vick couldn't carry curry's jockstrap. His worst decision was going to unc.

  • no, his worst decision was not picking a sport.

  • ronald curry is the man so stop hating!

  • imma raiders fan and boy did he make a mistake! he should hav kept playin b-ball or kept quarterbackin

  • #15 for UNC in this video is Willie Parker.

  • Please. That's just nonsense. HS rankings are an imperfect science. He's a starting NFL WR, the last time I checked, and doesn't appear to be going around.

So a dude who plays WR in the NFL for 10 or so years is "one of the biggest underachievers" ever??

  • *doesn't appear to be leaving the league any time soon.

  • tearing both achilles multiple times and hes still starting at a position in the NFL he never played in college...id say he's doin alright...

  • at a postion he never played in college that happens to be easier and a better fit than the position he did play, moron

  • ha...what?

  • Hes laughing his way to the bank right now

  • LOL!!!

    U damn right

  • ron c was the man.......if he would have still had all the coaches that was there when he got there (texas staff Mack Brown, Greg Davis, etc) he would have been one of the better qbs in college history.....that was a nice block by #6 on this play btw lol

  • Ronald Curry made the wrong college decision. He should've went to UVA or FSU. During that time in the late 90's, FSU was a national powerhouse. He would've redshirted for maybe a year or two, then would've maturated into the FSU pro style system and would have been the 2nd coming of Charlie Ward. Had he gone to UVA, all of VA's top recruits would have followed suit and went there because of the star power Ronald had at that time, hence building a national power there as well.

  • UNC was a national power during the time period he was recruited. He was recruited by Mack Brown and thought he would play under him, but Mack left for Tejas.

  • lol missed the extra point

  • I used vick as an example because him and Vick are actualy similar. Skin color has nothing to do with it. Running quarterbacks with mediocre passign skills. Look at Eric Crouch. Won the Heisman as an option quarterback and couldn't make it as a quarterback in the pros.

And just because the Raiders have had busts at quarterback doesn't mean Curry would've been good. Theres a reason he never got drafted until the 7th round and that wasn't even as a quarterback.

  • My brother played at Phoebus when Ron C was a freshmen. They played in Va is called "DA GAME". Problably the best high school game played in Va. There were 9 D1 players on the field that gamem many more on the bench for both teams. It came down to overtime and Ron C made the play that put him on the map with a pass to the back pof the endzone and the "catch". Now I'm not a Hampton High fan, I went to other high school, I'm just saying that is were it started. He should be a QB right now.

  • because in the nfl you need more than an athlete to play quarterback. curry wasn't even as good of a qb as mike vick and vick was a complete bust in the nfl. the raiders found a good position for curry and he's been successful as a 7th rounder.

  • does every conversation about a black qb hafta include vick? the man could play quarterback well. you need more than an athlete? yeah, guys like tim couch and kelly holcomb.

  • not criticizing, eddie, I see your point. i'm just saying the raiders have had several busts at qb since accuiring curry.

  • Guy was a hell of a QB. I'll never understand why he was forced to move to reciever on a team that is always in desperate need of a competent quarterback.

  • i followed him since 9th grade in Hampton hight school (Virginia) (Hampton crabbers) he was the best athlete Ive ever seen in high school hes still a legend in Hampton in my opinion he was twice as good as Michael Vick in high school i even watched them play each other while they were in high school Hampton vs Warwick

  • When u can play two different sports and run, catch, and thro like that, u can call urself a true athlete. Ron Ron is a perfect example of a true athlete.

  • i watch the brother in high school a damn good player!!!

  • he was da greatest highschool player ever

  • @kiopl5 best virginia player ever, him or mike vick

  • curry is a BAMF he will break out this year

  • too bad hes a wr with raiders

  • good thing hes a wr with raiders

  • Damn that shit was crazy. I'm proud to have him on my team in the NFL.

  • Oh you're claiming the Raiders?

  • I claim the raiders for life

  • i love the tar heels and all the ppl they produce..ron curry is a super athlete..basketball and football, he could of been in the nba or nfl

  • awesome play lol! It could use better quality but otherwise it's good

  • ronald curry is the fucken man
