This song sounds like it would be playing during a early 90's crime movie montage involving a hacker trying to "hack the firewall into the data systems to get to the gibson"
Now there's a song by N.E.R.D. called "Hypnotize U". I'd say the begining of "Most Wanted" is pretty similar to what you can here there. Anyway, it gives you a very pleasant feeling ;))
The needle is by Audio Technica, provided as OEM only to a bunch of different manufacturers. Actual cost $3. While it might be the #1 stock needle with cheap/value and DJ decks... it also sounds like crap compared to even the worst in the $50 range. Anyone still "rocking" one of these needs to seriously consider at least jumping into something decent for the $25 range, if not shooting more toward the $100-200 range from someone like Ortofon.
Haha, yeah, what a d-bag. But he does have a point. With some smart shopping, you could get an Audio-Technica AT-95E with an elliptical stylus for around $40 that'd be a major improvement. If you really felt like splurging, you could get an AT-120E/T for around $80 that'd be still better.
For now, though, you've got some pretty decent results. Sounds good.
I got pretty good sound out of this basic cartridge, as you can hear. But this TT has since been killed by two young boys in my house, so i got a Dual 505 now which is similar and comes with a Ortofon cartridge, sounds better, but not that much! :-)
@TIESTOdude last i was france for my vacation, i saw how big hip-hop there was. much more the here in holland it scared me a bit XD. Now i see French people can make house too:D
Just for the record, the track was originally released in 2000 on Vulture Music Cat. No VULT 001 on the 12" Running EP. The track samples K.I.D aka Geoff Bustow's track Don't Stop released back in 1981.
ps. It one heck of a track but do some research before commenting or describing a piece of music.
These guys do it with style, a respect for audiotistics, and sample clearance..todays artist are so noisy I wanna shove a ice pick in my ear to stop the ringing....boycott untalented Glitch !
just to be pedantic, this is a b-side to the 'running' 12" by Alex braxe and fred falke,it was released in 2000, the a-side was called 'intro' which is also great.
crisp beats.
