  • JJJjjaaaaa Eat your wheaties!!

  • Love this video! keep it coming! Anthony Catanzaro Modern day Steve Reeves

  • @tcatanzaro A modern day Reeves? Closest one for me would be Bob Paris back in the 1980s he was very good looking and like Reeves a former Mr Universe Catanzaro is handsome but Steve Reeves was Beautiful. He's one of the few men that was truly stunning. The man stopped traffic before he was famous. There's lots of good looking men that workout but Reeves was on another level.

  • @LVSWTZ I love Bob Paris but he used steriods. Steve was all natural like me. and I think Im a little more than handsome. Thank you.

  • @tcatanzaro "I love Bob Paris but he used steroids." I know. But That's Been Elite Pro (IFBB) Bodybuilding for last 40 years. To compete at the Olympia or even Universe level today. you gotta juice. Some male fitness models do it though using much lower doses. Even Hollywood actors getting ready to play Greek Warriors or Super Heroes do a cycle. Don't hate the player hate the game. Reeves Competing today would have to sorry. SO! That's Really you huh? not bad lol! keep it up handsome.

  • steve reeves ftw. thx, supes. i'm definitely subbing

  • Animal cruelty. You big brute of a thing

  • CRETEN BULL ? ITS A N OLD BUFFALO FROM A PETTING ZOO !1

  • why does this part have much more views

  • @TheDneaves Thats a good question...

  • The three best looking males in the 20th Century:

    Errol Flynn

    Steve reeves

    Jim Morrison

  • @pooperscoopr69, Don't you think Cary Grant, Marty Feldman and Margaret Thatcher should be included in that group also?

  • @pooperscoopr69 lol not bad

  • Dont forget Chet Yorton

  • i can beat hercules

  • Jupiter? What happened to Zeus?

And did Hercules donkey-punch the Cretan bull/buffalo?

  • The thing I really like about this print is that it has the original audio track with the original dub for Steve's voice. I just cannot get used to the later dubs; the later dubs don't seem to fit the character of Hercules or Steve's image!

  • @sobebabes Yeah, I heard a later dub for hte wide screen version and the new dub voice was too high pitched, not at all capturing the rugged power of Hercules or even Reeves own imposing physique.

  • this film had some really good music in it

  • steve reeves , alan steel , brad harris, gordon scott and others like them worked out natural bodybuilders and was healthy and really great actors.... for arnold great actor ,but bodybuilding no and his kind no, they use drugs , creatines, hyrocxuts ,. etc ....

  • Steve Reeves, Roger Moore and Soviet weightlifter Anatoli Pisarenko---3 best looking men in 20th century. Reeves by the way cleaned 275 in a kneeling position, what no one in pro football can duplicate hell they could barely jerk that weight off racks in the old Superstars event.

  • thanks for this information. i never joined the steve reeves fan club and i did not realize how incredibly strong he was as well as handsome.

  • I betcha that some of those "strong" man special effects in Steve's movies were the real thing...just wondering if he ever had a stunt man.

  • yes i have read that he did have stunt men.....they can't let the star get hurt even if he got hurt in a chariot accident in the 1960's. re strength stunts, i wonder if it was not trick photography but the real thing when he was carrying all those men to the ship in his hercules movie on the island of women

  • @ronwelker8 ronwelker u son of a bitch

  • @sdjklsdjksdjklf what is your problem exactly? Steve reeves was never noted as a strongman the way reg park was . cheers pal.

  • @ronwelker8 ronwelker u son of a bitch

    im back

  • @purpletc

no stunt man. he injured his shoulder in an underwater scene in one of his movies.

  • @sdsunandfun when fights the lion you see it's not him. It's the trainer. Have to have an expert working with large wild animals.

  • @purpletc No. Nobody could double for him because nobody was built like him. He lifted Primo Carnera for real in Hercules Unchained.

  • You forget me............THE FORTH BEST LOOKING MAN OF THE 20TH CENTURY !

  • @skirts365 Reeves & Moore kind of look similar, facially not the physiques.

Anatoly Pisarenko? He reminds me of Bluto from 'Popeye'.

  • @skirts365 Bob Paris, another former bodybuilder looked very much like Reeves.

  • @Tabish29 .yes he did but his was gay

  • I know it has nothing to do with the myth of Hercules, but i think that the second movie, Hercules Unchained, is a bit better. It has a more coherent plot and just looks better.

Better art direction, costumes, cast, etc.

  • god, that's hot, with that blood on his shoulder and left tit.

  • reves looked super great

  • i would look like reeves if i could lose a few pounds

  • he was so damned hot

  • great scene where herc kills the cretan bull -- it is done well enough that it doesn't look like a fake bull's horns in Mr. Reeves' capable hands

  • Interesting! The part where Hercules says" Now there's a woman to conquer and battles to win , and the Creton Bull awaits". The last part ,"The Creton bull awaits" Echoes two or three times. I have another version where Hercules says instead of "and the Creton Bull awaits" . He says "And my Destiny to Fulfill", with two or thre Echoes. I prefer "And my Destiny to Fulfill " Does anybody else have this version too?

  • I've not heard that variation with Reeves saying that, but it'd be interesting to listen to. I like this one too with the Cretan Bull awaits. Of course, speaking of destiny, his destiny didn't end with beating the bull as we both know. But I like that version you mentioned.

  • Comment removed

  • @Dakers11 I have the version were the king says to hercules " Go fight with the Creton Bull. Go fight with him. Beast vS Beast" They did alot of voice overs for sure.

  • no Lou Ferrigno looked way better

  • the old steve reeves what a fella

    great physique mr universe winner

    looked like a greek god

  • I love a man with muscles! Every man should have a physique like that.

  • This reminds me of a comment in TIME or NEWSWEEK about how the US olympic team in 1960 looked a little puny to these Americans like Reeves already there making these movies.

  • Yeah, and I think every woman should have some nice muscles too.

  • @sfbaygirl lol! and every woman should look like Lynda Carter. Reeves was WOW!

  • reeves=perfection

  • RIP Steve reeves!

    The last "Real" Bodybuilders!

    Now their only Meatballs ^^

Steve Reeves got it without steroids!

    thats it man

  • @Goanetic reeves was in a time were it was not to that point yet. he was just lucky not to have in todays era. he would have too. can't compete today without it. don't players hate the game.

  • I LOVE these cheesy old movies! Not exactly Ingmar Bergman, but fun!

  • The Legend that is Steve Reeves...so sad he has passed away :(( His aura will live on in the halls of Valhala for a long time. Truly was the most handsome and aesthetic man ever to walk Venice Beach...R.I.P Steve.

  • The voice of the king's evil brother was done by Norman Rose, who dubbed countless films and hundreds of commercials, educational films, etc.

  • çocukluk günlerimizin ilahı steve reeves o günlerde bizi masal diyarlarına götürüp ne kadar mutlu ettiğini biliyormusun, seni hiç unutmayacağız nur içinde uyu canım benim..

  • Great fun. Reeves was a bit like the bionic man...dubbed voice, disguised height (he was actually no taller than Iole, but always featured on higher platforms,), atrocious actor, very ordinary looking without the beard, but absolutely poifect as Hercules.

    The best Hercules ever.

  • Steve Reeves Mr. Universe 1950, 6'1-6'2, 200+lbs of beautifully sculpted muscle. With a face that stopped traffic when he crossed the street. Ordinary looking? Okaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!

  • ttt

  • This was Reeve's first Hercules film, He is very good, even if his voice was dubbed, the dubbing works well with his acting, as with all the other actors. Would like to know who the voice-over dubbers were?

  • I just wonder how the sport will look like after jay cutler is gone.

Steve reeves is what a true bodybuilder looks like

    shyt yeoohhhh

    long like steve reeves bytches

  • i've been thinking lately how the sport of bodybuilding has changed over the decades soo much but not in a good way. We cheer on these damn people who don't even look human anymore but beasts an monsters. The sport of bodybuilding was about sculpting a body like a greek good, and not putting as much muscle mass as the human body can take using steroids and other crap.

  • hercules!!!!!

  • awesome movie

    thanx

  • This is the only movie where Reeves is even close to contest condition - he was training for the Mr. USA contest before this movie offer. Reeves hurt his shoulder in The Last Days of Pompeii in 1959 and continued his acting career untill 1965. In 1969 he came back and made a western called "Long Ride From Hell." A CLint Eastwood type western film.

  • The Bull is Toro.

  • It's Zues not Jupiter.

  • Excellent, thanks.Steve Reeves in his prime. Before anyone ever hear of steroids.I wonder if this was the movie where he injured his shoulder doing his own stunts, ending his promising film career?
