Peshawar is a great city its history dates back thousands of years. It was the gateway to the Indo-Pak subcontinent. I was born and raised there but left in '99. Went back after 9 years recently.The city has changed dramatically. It isn't the city it used to be. I felt at home and peace but its not a safe place anymore. It 's so rich in culture and tradition.Its tragic thats its in the midst of all this madness. I am biased towards my home city but its not safe nowadays.Best wishes

may be the news and and media had scared the people that much that they think their is a civil war going on peshawar.but on the contrary the city is same as it was ever,,peaceful and friendly yes the terrorist element had increased but it will go down in few months in peshawar.yes peshawar has become very populated in recent immigrations from all over the afghanistan and swat and bajuwar,thats why its social values are changing.

Peshawar is a great city its history dates back thousands of years. It was the gateway to the Indo-Pak subcontinent. I was born and raised there but left in '99. Went back after 9 years recently.The city has changed dramatically. It isn't the city it used to be. I felt at home and peace but its not a safe place anymore. It 's so rich in culture and tradition.Its tragic thats its in the midst of all this madness. I am biased towards my home city but its not safe nowadays.Best wishes

But i would wait for the swat operation to finish and then go. Peshawar is a great historical city. My most favt city in all pakistan. People are very nice and humble.
