I need help! My ps3 is on and I tried everything. I used the hdmi cable and put it on my ps3 and I knew it would work. But it didn't. I tried HDMI 1,2,3. I plugged the hdmi cable and put it on the hdmi 2 slot. Then I plugged it in my ps3 and I put hdmi 2 on my tv. I can hear the music when you turn on the ps3 but no theme ? Please reply to this!!

I followed this instructions but it did not work. However I did find the solution to my problem.

Solution: Apparently my PS3 was suffering from over heating even though the surface of the plastic wasn't that hot. What I did was turn my PS3 Vertically with the CD Rom Facing up and a fan pointing to the bottom of the ps3 at a low setting to keep it cool. Since then I play BF3 now and it won't freeze on me anymore. I hope that helps some of you... cheers!

Well i dont kno y but this just recently happnd to me, i was doing the system updat as usual then outta now where my ps3 freezes at 99%, so i tot well its just prolly my connection, so i left it on for a night, next morining still at 99%, so i desided to restart my ps3, but as soon i as i restarted it, it went straight to the installing screen and after its at 1% it doesnt even let me turn off the systen without discconnecting it from the back and now its still happening, any idea??

@xXKrapTacosXx  That happened to me too with my old ps3 about 3 years ago. you have 2 options

1. try to go to the option screen like the one in this video and choose option 6: system update (if that works for you)

2. buy an internal hard drive (can be 40gb to how ever much you want it to be)

* download the latest ps3 update into a usb using a computer

** if you choose otion 1 or 2 both you will need a usb to download the update and connect it to your ps3
