  • Jane Velez-Mitchell in 1990! How funny! I wonder how drunk she is in this broadcast. She mentions her alcholism every time she's on CNN so I don't think there's anything wrong with me bringing it up!

  • The fans just get worse and worse. so funny. must be the lack of good food and sleep. lol DM forver <3

  • It is soo true though. You know when it's depeche mode. No one sounds like them no matter how much others try.

  • @1:18 see that weirdo in the back making the peace sign.... yea thats my dad....

  • @joeismine9111 Then your dad's awesome!! lol Did you inherit a love for DM from your dad like I did from mine? Just curious. :]

  • @joseitsme Yes. plus i noticed that CD's have way better quality.

  • I LOVE DEPECHE MODE AND ALSO THE 90"S

  • Progressive Technopop is in yourr ass bitch!!! :3

  • 'Violator' was truly one of the best albums of the 90s.....up there with 'Nevermind'

  • gosh! i agree with what everybody said here!

  • @MsPink68 and I agree with you that i completely agree with them too!! <3 It's the DM syndrome. oh yea. DM Devotee forever <3

  • @DiiDee66 :-)!!!

  • the difference is this hysteria is warranted!!! this band was/is/and will be great forever. This is one time you could believe the hype. They are still around and still great. This is one time the kids got it RIGHT...

  • Wherehouse and Tower Records are a thing of the past, before music downloading hit. Unfortunately, panicked crowds are too. Doubt this ruckus would happen at a Barnes and Noble nowadays, LOL!!

  • PROGRESSIVE TECHNO POP! A genre name that stuck...wait, wtf.

  • holy fuck people relax! haha

  • lol that looks and sounds an awful lot like jane valasquez mitchell or w/e on HLN.

man she looked good then and now.

  • Actually, they started out as a guitar band my homie!

  • OMGAHAN ! Lucky fans ! They are still the best !!

    LOVE DEPECHE MODE <3

  • hot NEW british group Depeche Mode?

They were around for 10 years at that point! 0.36

  • I remember watching Poor Man on "Request Video" on channel 12 here in Orange County interviewing the band. The interview was at least 20 minutes. Best interview. Poorman went on to Love Lines on KROQ not too long after. Man, them were the days...

  • laura diaz is still on tv. how sad.

  • SO TRUE, HAHA

  • lmao" dont touch my picture bitch" 3:45

  • I just saw that, lol

  • @jibjr88 lmaaaoooo best part.

  • "techno-pop?"When I think of techno,I think of med-fast beat electronic dance music with no vocal singing that was pretty big during the early-mid '90s and were played at Rave parties.Depeche Mode is Alternative.Since they started during the early '80s,their music is also known as New Wave or synth-pop.

  • ha, i was there, what a riot, never got to see them, but got a special cassette from kroq

  • Wow, some of those anchors are still around. some have passed on.

Some of the fashions are long dead while some never changed.

Also, wow at nine inch nails at the end.

  • god i feel old watching this, back when an ipod would be a robot in star wars and people still bought music on cassettes and to top it off violator is almost 20 years old???!!! where the fuck did all the time go?

  • Seriously, were DID all the time go. I remember buying CD's when they were sold in that long cardboard box. I also had that same t-shirt in 1:44

    Memories..(sigh)

  • Ha!! Hot NEW group??? WTF, do newscasters have lives? DM was new in 1981-82...not 1990. I was there...it was absolute craziness. I could see the Boys In Black inside but the line wasn't moving at all. DAMN I wanted my LP signed.

  • You´re right but until Violator their highest album chart position in the US was nr. 40 reached by Music For The Masses..yes, they had sold out the Rose Bowl 2 years before this but I guess for the general public they were new in 1990 while the English considered them a history at the same time.

  • BAD ASS!

  • "Swooning over Sinatra, ecstasy over Elvis, fainting over Fab Four..." and dying over Depeche Mode!!!
