What I can not guarantee, however, is that your understanding of real science is accurate. I find it highly likely your association of science with 'something from nothing' claims is based solely on misinformation.

Please don't disregard reality in front of your face. Things for which there is observable evidence consensually validated, like dinosaurs, are very likely to be true. But feelings and emotions are subject to the frailties of the human brain. If we were to see reality by only our emotions, we'd never be able to decipher reality from schizophrenic delusion. Before you accept any claim, consider the reasons behind it and determine if they are justified by evidence and logic.

you name says a lot pain. The Bible says in Romans 1 that all know there is a God by the things that are created. You will never know God until you humble yourself to him and say Lord I want to know you. I believe you do but dont understand everything. The HOly Spirit comes in our heart when we accept Jesus and he will teach you the Word of God if you are open to know. See God does not take our choices away You have to make the choice to know him. Since you seemed so utterly convinced, I'd like to know what your evidence is for the existence of a god. Since you "just know", it should be an easy task. Please feel free to private message me since I know 500 characters is too few, but at the same time, please stay succinct. Remember, evidence is objective and demonstrable, so no private stories or anecdotes.
If you are interested evidentiary support-- I know "The Case for Christ" by Lee Strobel and "Mere Christianity" by C.S. Lewis are good reads. And both are rather short books and can probably be found at a local library.
I'm already aware of these authors and their works. What they propose to be "evidence" may seem conclusive to those who already agree with their claim, but those of us who investigate farther uncover the flaws in logic, misinterpretations, or outright falsehoods that make up their arguments.
If any Christian author had ever presented real evidence, I wouldn't still be here asking for it.

I don't require that evidence for a god exist solely through our five sense. The evidence for a god depends entirely on the definition of that god. Different definitions require different types of evidence.

I disagree. Arguments between religions have caused too many conflicts, yes. But conversational intolerance of religious claims is necessary to further the progressive intellect and morality of the human species. People have the right to believe anything, yes. But beliefs influence actions, and actions influence everyone else. Thus, unjustified beliefs (like religion) which harm others are fair game and should be treated with conversational intolerance and argumentation.
You can not do it. No one can be some wrapped up in their own world that they can not see the evidence of God in the world.

Invite him in by saying Lord I am a sinner and I need you come into my heart. Then get into the Bible. 1) I likely have read the bible than you, and would gladly go head-to-head in biblical knowledge.
2) I can think of no other relationship which is dependent upon belief that the other party exists; except, of course, an imaginary friend.

I see I hit so nerves. I am sorry for that. I am not a person who argues about God's Word. I just know he is real, I know what the BIble has taught me. I hated to read all of my life. I never read a book all the way through. I have so many interest but reading was not it. WHen I accepted Christ I picked the BIble up and ask God to teach me because I wanted to know him. Man what he showed me and is still showing me today.

If you are interested evidentiary support-- I know "The Case for Christ" by Lee Strobel and "Mere Christianity" by C.S. Lewis are good reads. And both are rather short books and can probably be found at a local library.

I'm already aware of these authors and their works. What they propose to be "evidence" may seem conclusive to those who already agree with their claim, but those of us who investigate farther uncover the flaws in logic, misinterpretations, or outright falsehoods that make up their arguments.
If any Christian author had ever presented real evidence, I wouldn't still be here asking for it.

even though you may have read the bible a few times, it's very evident you have not met Jesus.... if you want proof that God exist ask Him to show you.... dont look for tangible evidence in the intangible. it's like that old example, "do you believe that air exists? how do you know that air is what you breath... i mean, you cant see it and there is no proof.." but i can bet you believe in the air that you breath!! ask God to give you a reality in Him and you will get the answers you need!!

Do you honestly believe that their is no evidence for air existing? Objects need not appeal to our limited five senses in order for us to obtain evidence of their existence. We have evidence for air; not for a god.
If I were to ask your god for evidence, I would already have made the presumption that there exists someone to ask. My request would be pointless because I would have contradicted my purpose in the first place. (Even that being that case, I have done it. And ..nothing)

I don't require that evidence for a god exist solely through our five sense. The evidence for a god depends entirely on the definition of that god. Different definitions require different types of evidence.
I'm not attempting to discredit something I have no reason to assume exists.
I feel that by believing in something without reason, I have very much to lose. For one, I'd lose my intellectual honesty. Pascal's wager is undoubtedly the worst argument for a god. You'd prefer I lie to myself?

It doesn't argue for God, it argues you have lost nothing by believing compared to the unbeliever, and you stand to gain more than the unbeliever if you believe and it turns out true.
It is not an arguement that argues evidence for an existance of God.

You're right. Pascal's wager does not argue for the existence of a god. It argues that belief in a god is a safe bet. But it is without a doubt that worst argument one can make for theism.
It is intellectually dishonest, suggesting that people can pick and choose what they believe to be accurate depictions of reality, rather than rely on intellect. Any semi-intelligent deity would see right through such false belief for the sake of self-preservation.

Yes - but have I ever said I accept the argument? It is true that God knows that seek him truly, and those who would rather have the blessing without the pain or even the relationship - a kind of safety policy that they never thnk about or do anything about while alive.
However, I disagree with the lack of evidence. Also your most noble part of our human character - does this not suggest you are proud? And is that not what the Bible says stops a man seeing the evidence for God?

In regards to pride..in short, no, I'm not arrogant, but we are talking about claims about reality. Reality, by definition, manifests itself and that manifestation is able to perceived by all, regardless of emotional dispositions.

Not at all - emotion not only clouds judgement they also can make you ignore reality. Like the person who is so angry and convinced someone has done something and won't listen to any reason or evidence that it isn't so till they have been calmed down.
As for evidence, there are plenty of books out there already by philosophers, Christians or your friendly neighbourhood ex-atheist.

Emotion may temporarily cloud judgment of reality, yes. And a proud person may be blind to some truths. But to suggest that all atheists are proud is a gross and intellectually dishonest, as well as falsifiable claim.
It will suffice to say that I have read or indirectly analyzed the "evidence" put forth by others, and found it unsound. If there is an argument that you feel is so obvious and think me a fool for rejecting it, please message me. I'd love to be proven wrong.

There exists no atheist evidence to the contrary. It is not needed to justify a lack of belief in a god. The absence of any evidence for the claim of a god is sufficient. (In what I've just said I am assuming, although I find it unlikely to be the case, that you are using the proper definitions of "atheist".)
And no, I don't require such high standards of evidence. A mere scrap would be a start.

By atheist evidence I mean theories that science suggests, such as spontaneous generation, an uncaused big bang etc I do not suggest an atheist group got together and put down an official list of evidence to say there is no God.
Atheist as in no-God/ Creator for all things.

"Science" does not mean "atheistic". Science is a method for understanding reality, nothing more. Scientific discoveries, such as the red-shifting of galaxies, the tendency for simple molecules to form amino acids, or variations in allele frequencies among populations are statements of the reality of the world we live in. An understanding of reality does not make belief in a god(s) impossible. Science is NOT atheist.

For example, the majority of people who define themselves as Christian also accept the scientific fact of evolution. And the majority of people who accept evolution are Christian. Science says nothing about the existence of a god.
Atheism is a combination of the prefix "a-", meaning without, and theism, meaning a belief in a person god. Together," without a belief in a personal god". Please note that this does not also imply the positive claim that no god exists.

I agree! The misunderstanding comes from lack of clarity on my part due to it being the early hours of the morning!
What I meant with linking science and evidence was atheist intepretations or assertions that everything came about by nothing, with no God and there is no need for one. That is what many have rejected. If it isn't still clear, I apologise due to the time and invite you to PM me.
Evidence I use not as proof btw, but as in a court where each side gives evidence and it is weighed up

I disagree. Arguments between religions have caused too many conflicts, yes. But conversational intolerance of religious claims is necessary to further the progressive intellect and morality of the human species. People have the right to believe anything, yes. But beliefs influence actions, and actions influence everyone else. Thus, unjustified beliefs (like religion) which harm others are fair game and should be treated with conversational intolerance and argumentation.

I think these kind of Theological discussions are best left off comment sections on Youtube. Since I strongly doubt that anyone has ever been converted from any form of spiritual belief or absence thereof to another by reading Youtube comments, all that can be acheived is frustration on both sides, if not insult and serious offence...
It's very easy to make prejudgements about a person when you know nothing about their situation, attitudes or beliefs when all you can see is a line of text...

Religion is mans way to get to God but when you invite Jesus into your heart, You can have a personal relationship with a wonderful God who loves you, never forsakes you and will be with you always. Invite him in by saying Lord I am a sinner and I need you come into my heart. Then get into the Bible. Get you an international version so you can understand it better and ask the Holy Spirit to teach you about the Lord. I am praying for you.
