  • the guy that is singing has a really good voice

  • very relaxing and timeless

    sounds traditional

  • You are all now aware that USSR was the greatest and best country to ever have existed in the entire history of mankind.

  • Wow...They produced such beautiful music, I love these classic Russian songs from the 20th century..

  • The Alexandrov Ensemble has no boundaries, it completely masters the world of music. Comrade Belyaev is a legend to all of us who follow the beauty of russian music. Alexandrov Ensemble Slava!

  • It would be much appreciated by a lot of people if you could translate this song much like you did, "dark-eyed Cossack girl"

  • @MrLiebesleid

    That wasnt the same uploaded.

  • Thank you for posting those songs. I know many are against Russia and I have to admit my self hate Communism and ex soviet union but always loved their music and films.

  • who is the lead singer red army officer in this video n the KALINKA?

  • WORDS CANNOT DESCRIBE HOW BEAUTIFUL THIS MUSIC IS.

  • Oy ty rozh' Khorosho poësh' Ty o chem poësh' Zolotaya rozh'? Schast'e povstrechaetsya Mimo ne proydësh' Oy ty rozh'!

    It's Awsome..

  • I cry when i think of what the poor russian people suffered under the tyrancy of lenin and stalin and the other dictators .These despots killed more people, than any leaders in history. They thought nothing of the poor or their rights ,and were actually more fond of the good life, than the ones they replaced .Stalin was full of hate for his fellow man ,read his daughters description of his death.GOD BLESS THE RUSSIAN PEOPLE AND THEIR COUNTRY.

  • @stbridgetscross Lenin and Stalin physically and culturally devastated Russia. The impact is still affecting on Russia.

  • @ChechenPride

Terek will be again free from chechen nazi pigs.

  • @dicthash look who is talking about the nazi... go see the doctor, i think you're losing it.

  • @ChechenPride Uhmmm... Sir i think you mean that that the capitalist pigs that currently are in charge in Russia are the reason that Mother Russia cant feed her children?

  • @MrLiebesleid I meant that Lenin and Stalin massacred themost successful, brave and hardworking people. Collectivization devastated Russian peasantry. Lots of villages and small towns are abandoned, who is going to develop rural part of Russia if everybody goes to Moscow and other big cities.

About the capitalist pigs, today power is in hand of corrupted thieves and mafia.

  • @ChechenPride you just repeat Hebbels propaganda as black monkey. The truth is, that Stalin just cleaned USSR from thiefs, betrayers like chechen, crimea tatar gangs and other criminal trash. Collectivization was the only way for accelerated food production and industrialization. It allowed USSR to prepare to WW2 and WIN.

  • @timuri0 you're repeating stalin's propaganda like a fucking swine. the truth is, stalin killed millions of russians and non-russians. you fucking moron wrote about chechen betrayers, are u familiar with the army of Vlasov? Victory against Germany i tribute to the soviet people, not to stalin ( and not just russians) Do you get your fucked up swine?

  • @ChechenPride you are liar. Most of people in Russian don't believe liberals and other trash like you anymore.

People without the Leader - just crowd of sheeps dispersing across the field. And millions can be killed by one wolf pack. But, as soon as the crowd got their real Leader, it got Power. Stalin was the Greatest Leader of Soviet People and nothing can bring dirty to his name.

So, go to hell, little mountain monkey.

  • @timuri0 You are correct. A people are aimless and weak without a leader. I hate to quote Trotsky while in support of Stalin, but it is true when Trotsky said "Without a guiding organization the energy of the masses would dissipate like steam not enclosed in a piston-box. But nevertheless what moves things is not the piston or the box, but the steam." Stalin unified the people of Russia and enabled them to make great progress. The people of USSR needed Stalin like Stalin needed the people.

  • @stbridgetscross

Don't cry. I was happy in USSR. I'm crying now after job interviews in America.

  • I don't know exactly what they are saying, but it is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. I wish I could get a translation of the lyrics in English.

    Greetings from Canada.

  • Пять человек никогда не видел поля ржи в летнее время.

  • They are comming to Sweden soon to perform. I'm so happy and I'll be there for sure. They are awesome and unique!

With love from your tiny little neighbour Sweden <3

  • hi,please is there a version of this song(or maybe one like it =) )singed by 2 little girl??i saw it long ago and i'm trying to find it.help plz =)

  • @goldie0800 an attempt to help:

1.In the field, behind the fence, where you are walking

The rye is rustling and bending alongside the road.

    The black eyes have seen

How through the field from afar

The lad is walking on a meeting.

  • Oh you rye, you sing good!

What do you sing about, golden rye?

Once you've met happiness - you won't pass by it,

    Oh you rye!

  • 2. Music pours from the sky, the wind is singing (tenderly ringing - approx.)

On a narrow path they met,

To walk around eack other? - To hurt the spikes...

    And eyes are coal-like,

What is there - hard to tell!

    Refrain

  • 3. Seems they have managed to share happiness equally.

Both went in one direction holding each other in embrace.

The rye is rustling and swaying,

    No traces left.

That's how it happens in life sometimes!

    Refrain

  • mon dieu quel homme, quelle chant , dans le champs, il restera toujours et toujours cette merveille, de la nature vocale, il est éternel dans nos cœurs.

  • What a lovely song! You have the lyrics only in Russian but I hope one day you can manage to give the English translation too. That would be super. After three or four listenings it has already become a very special favourite, such a nice melody. Thank you so much.

  • Душевная песня!

Думаю только Русский-Славянский народ может понять всю полноту и глубину слов песни.

Soulful song! I think the only Russian-Slavic people can understand the fullness and depth of the lyrics.

  • Comment removed

  • Let me say this: for a young woman like me to see a field full of lounging Russian soldiers, caressing the rye and singing such sweet, lilting melodies.... It is like heaven. I would go crazy in that field. ;)

  • Long Live the Slavic Peoples!!!

  • i dont understand russian, but this song is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaw it made me love to go back to the soviet dais

    spasiba and Daway

  • Oczen krasiwo!!!

    Pozdrowienia z Polski!

  • I'll just say fu*k yeah!

dont wanna listen to no 50 cents, madonna or like jamiroqui (dont know how to spell his name and i dont care btw ) this is the sh8 !!!

greetings to my russian and slav bro's from Serbia !

  • @MrBudisavljevic With narrow-minded hatred like this, may be we should not helped you save your brothers. Shame on you. There is breakdancing and sh8 also in Russia and throughout the East - that is what you should compare . A comparison for this choir would be the Mormon Tabernacle Choir or the Boston Pops. You cannot compare two totally different mediums.

And I'll write to my Congressman not to help you guys out again, if you use a platform such as this to spread around your sick hatred.

  • @jonedelleman

dear sir, even though you offended me greatly in this post of yours i will not reply in the same kindness as i should. i was merely expressing my love for this music and performing & also my personal taste on music generally.

You say there is narrow-minded hatred in my post , i cannot see it , therefore i cannot understand what you mean by that. And yes, i wasnt comparing this kind of music cause it cannot compare to anything...as for your congressman i just wont comment on that.

  • @jonedelleman

and oh yes, my username was MrBudisavljevic, so you wont get confused...again!

  • Wonderful!

  • Even though I'm Irish-American.... Soviet Choirs ALWAYS melt me to tears. Happy or sad I am always very very emotional when they sing. Thank you so much for posting!

  • @carmenphilomelae I also love Russian choirs and especially Leonid Haritonov. That is why I get so angry when people try to draw attention away from pure art to pure hatred. Very sad.

  • I cry when I see this, the USSR always AWESOME, sic.

  • The communist uniforms looked much better than today´s uniforms.

  • @Swordman85 Yes I am a Uniform lover, give me shoulder boards and braid, some gold tress and I'm happy. Love the old fashioned French Police uniforn. The kepi.

  • Far better and beautiful than all the cheap scum of USA and infinte better than the decadent reggaeton, music that degenerates the women.

    This is real music!

    Let's see the match:

    Backstreet boys=0 goals

    Russian Red Army Choir=10000000000 goals.

    Daddy Yankee=-1 goals

    Reggaeton Boys=-2 goals

    Luis Miguel=0 goals

    Juanes=1 goal

  • @ArturoAlejandroS

Hell yeah! you're sou f***in' right man!

    ....greetings from Mexico!

  • @ArturoAlejandroS Did you honestly try to compare the Backstreet Boys - a fad band that popped up in the nineties and died off in a few years - to a classical men's choir singing popular national songs? You can't compare pop music to folk music. At all.

  • @Mandolinpossum That is what I meant, too.But I was misunderstood.

Well, that is how it goes.

  • @ArturoAlejandroS simplemente maravilloso

  • @ArturoAlejandroS ..........a match!>>>>>"Black Label Society-Stillborn"..........ps: feel free to bring back the NKVd and send the BackStreetBoyz to northern Siberia to dig for snails for 50 years!! :)

  • @ArturoAlejandroS Not all of America is a bunch of capitalist pigs, a friend of mine is republican, and knows alot, and definitly no George Bush, yes, god bless this Choir, but opinion, isnt everything...

  • Moving song! With Evgeny Belyaev become especially magnificent!

  • as goes the lyric of the song please let me know!

  • And i put it all backwards. Too many words(

You should read from the bottom to the top)

  • Véritable voix d´un rossignol , c´est émouvant. Merci pour pouvoir découvrir Mr. Belyaev. Dommage, qu´il est parti si tot...

  • @lisabraun52 vraiment dommage, je vous crois.une telle vois

  • i will honest..i dont understand russian, but i wanna say it is great song,,magnificent voice,,,melodies belong to skies not earth..pls i need the lyrics..i wanna understand what this great tenor says

  • THis is an approximate translation.

    There behind the hedge(fence)

    You are walking.

There is a field of rye whispering.

The black eyes saw a young lad coming towards me...

    Chorus:

  • Oh, Ruy, you song is beautiful! What are you singing about, rye? If you meet your happines it`s impissible to miss it) the music is pouring from the sky The wind is ringing. They met on a little path. They did not want to break the rye plants - Looked into each others black eyes (like coal)they happened to share the happiness. And went one way in each others arms. Rye is nece and broad All around them! That happens sometimes!
  • it`s a very Russian song) traditional love story. Deep connection with nature..

Sung by the red Army Choir......

  • There are russian words In describe of this video. You can translate them with online-translator.

  • Thank you, Imj22! Wonderful video.

  • Thank you so much, riverhouse2007!

  • There is now a page for "Yevgeny Belyayev (singer)" on Wikipedia. You are welcome to add to or improve the page, or to add your comments to its "discussion" tab.

  • The title of the Wikipedia page (in English) has now been corrected to "Evgeny Belyaev". Enjoy!

  • The choir of Russian Army is really amazing

  • they sing like angles !

  • beautiful truly beautiful. if a worm hug was in the form of a song this would be it. god bless the mother land CCCP will rise again!

  • trés élégante chanson, en pleine nature : 5/5

Rien a voir avec les lamentables communistes de l Europe de L ouest.

  • If you are a korean & would hear his other songs like nightingales or kalinka, you may agree that the soloist-E.M.Belyaev had clean(맑고) & 'silin(시린)' voice.

The adjective 'silida시리다' has two meaning cold-cool and painful. For example, Koreans say "the winter wind makes my hands 'silige'.", "the love of romeo & juliet is the love of 'silin' hearts.".

I love his songs, it makes my ear&heart 'silige'.
