Hopefully Dave gets First Aid Kit back on his show when the tour the US in April. They were cute standing in the back, smiling and nodding at the end though.
@thesebboi Yes, because I live in Sweden and am also a musician. THis however is SHIT.
It's so beautiful & erie (mispell?) it reminds me of a foggy dark day... something of that nature- anyways, she has such a memorable voice. She's epic.
@SomeEloquentGraffi Of course not literally, how old are you? What I'm saying is that i don't get how anyone could like this, since she's 1. Not a very good singer. 2. The song is very unoriginal and for some reason she needed two co-writers to write this. 3. The armmovements makes the live act very weird and... weird. Feel free to express your opinion, don't just criticize
@backstabber89 I am old enough to not get overtly offensive to a video to ask someone whom must be slightly intrigued by her to know more than the average fan, if your comment was literal. Yikes.
@joachimwmusic what you consider to be silly moves are usually involuntary and produced purely from the music going through the artist. If you were a muso, you would understand. These people live, breathe and feel their songs and cannot choose when to dance or do 'silly moves'. It just happens. Let it go, bro, and enjoy what she gives you in her performance.
@daverlb Listen man. If there is any doubt in your mind that she's recieved some help from a choreographer than you are beyond stupid. I dont mind how silly it looks, but dont try selling me the BS that they are completley involontary, at times you can even see her starting to think like; "wait, wtf am I doing again?"
@w0rdisbond No you listen man. You're obviously from the generation where 'artists' 'perform' using backing tapes and fakery and can't even move an arm without the help of a choreographer. In the real world, actual artists don't rely on preprogrammed, preplanned 'dancing'. I could be wrong and you actually know everything about this stuff. But I doubt it.
@daverlb Dude, we agree! I apologozige (bad at that) for sayin you're stupid. But sure she's in the moment, and sure she's gotten some dance lessons. I live in sweden. I dont know anyone who dances like that. Not even in Ystad, where shes from. I think music business today is like Hendrix said that artists forget that its all about the music and only focus on earning the dollar. If you are a musician yourself or know any, please remind them of that. ITS ABOUT THE MUZAC DOWG
my friends and I saw her at Fox Theater in Pomona, where people waited til 1 am to get an autograph or pictures of her, she only came out for no more than 1 minute and left because she was "busy"my friend left and saw her running down the street because she noticed a fan was in a car and assumed she was going to chase her,way to treat people. Also, they said that at another show she was a diva, treated employees badly and wouldn't play the show unless she got her"fucking special wine bottle opener"
Saw them live in Asheville at the Orange Peel…absolutely terrific, talk about high energy rock and roll…my ears rang all the next day….they are bound for superstardom fer sure
I LOVE that she's not wearing a fucking THONG lol so glad my wife discovered her - best music discovery EVER track after track after track after track BRILLIANT - letterman and that bald guy such douchebags as usual I remember when X was on years ago he was clueless then too
Stunning voice, and very deep person which makes her all the more amazing. (check out some interviews she does) I seen her at lollapalooza and it was one of the best shows of the festival. You can just tell she actually feels the music. A true artist indeed.
I like Joy Division, and I like Bjork, and Sisters of Mercy. I like this entire style, but this was unchanging BULLSHIT. Her moves are annoying. This is what people use an example to make fun of art/alternative/industrial music. Learn how to write a melody change. Her voice is boring.
Paul hated it, you can tell, agreeing that is was 'haunting' meaning it was PAINFUL. What is with the stupid hand moves. .5% of foreigners that attempt english succeed. I had no idea what the fuck she was saying.
I love those artists as well. But they have absolutely nothing in common with Lykke Li except making good music. Their music styles belong to four very different genres. Neither her apperance or the performance reminds of the other bands, except maybe that she seems to prefer wearing black like JD and SoM. And Björk is her exakt opposite when it comes to her clothes and stagepersona.
Btw, Björk has a way heavier accent. But I still love it.
Mesmering, beautiful. Her movements, serene, yet all so powerful. The emotions she's conveying is true of any great speaker--even with the audience off camera, do you hear the screams of rejoicing fans? Any great speaker gets the crowd involved and with her interesting voice and her incredibly talented team, she sure as hell got my attention! And I was sitting on my couch! The embodiment of a strong female character, Lykke Li sure has amazed me tonight! Thank you Lettermand indeed-HAUNTING!
Ahhh! Beautiful. And First Aid Kit on back up too? Just perfect.
Lykke Li and First Aid Kit are currently touring together and I just saw them the day before this performance! I'm so happy that they performed together for Letterman!
Regardless, if you don't know who First Aid Kit is, one of the girls is in the middle and the other is on the right. If you like Lykke Li, you should definitely check them out as well!
