  • Your pick guard is mangled lol.

  • gotta love it

  • FINALLY A lesson that is good quality, at a decent slow pace for a beginner, and gives me everything I need to know! Thanks.

  • thats the funniest guitar lesson i,ve ever had nice one La

  • wow man so many guitar pedals!

  • thankx man ! super lesson

  • Dddddd B minor ........ stay right there.... hahaha good job....

  • wait so whats the first chord??

  • Thank you.

  • If I don't have a capo, can I simply change the tuning of the strings? I don't really know alot about this, other than standard tuning.

  • @RedNudidity yeah just tune everything up a half step :)

  • @RedNudidity yes, if you don't have a capo uyou can play it by tunning the guitar up a half step!

  • 0:46 Who let Alvin in?

  • oh hai doggy

  • nice singin' x3

    this tutorial is great =D

  • Best guitar tutorial I've ever fuckin seen.

    Thank you, dude.

  • amazing dog!

  • love what you do and love your dog too

  • I hate that slide in the beginning with a burning passion no matter how cool it sounds.

  • hey first off i want to say your awsome and a big help to my band since i know nothing about guitar(P.S. im a drummer) you give me something relate to when band is trying to learn a song. second can you please make a lesson on the beatles song rain.

  • what frecuency are you using? 440?

  • I can't keep up but I've learned most of it from this great vid

  • Great stuff as always!! I always played stuff that wasn't entirely "right", and with this prefer the simple A7 shape where you're playing the A, with just the B and G strings fretted. But what is right and what works I always leave up to you!! As for the Gm 4th, the Beatles did a ton of this, and it's called "Modal Interchange". This is when you borrow a chord from the parallel key, NOT relative, but could be from minor to major of vice versa. Keep up the great work and thanks!!!

  • do u really need the a capo

  • Thanks a lot for the video!.... the best tutorial ever!

    You're a great teacher, I've learned a lot from you (:

  • ok dude now you are oficially cool

  • I tried to watch this video but I fell asleep after 3 minutes.

Geez, do you think you could pause and talk more next time?

    ****YAWN****

  • @onesemfiee

A crummy attemt at humor on your part...either you are a jerk or about 15-16 years old...same thing really

  • My finger busted open and bled everywhere because of the stupid slide at the beginning. I should have built some calis up before trying to learn this.

  • Is dat a Kyser capo? Cuz I haz da same one.......

  • @Chrizuki everyone does

  • Thanks Marty...

  • Cute doggy:)

  • Perfect! Thanks! Sat nam! :o)

  • Marty is right. The use of the G minor chord in the second verse sounds great .

  • Jai Guru Dev

  • To play this the way the recording sounds you should actually tuned the strings down 1/2 of a step

  • Thanks dude, this was really easy to follow and sounds great. Love the singing too!

"A-A-A it stays right there..." :)

  • I just compared your playing to the MP3 file I have on my computer, and maybe the file I have is just unusual but it really does sound like the capo is unneccesary! :/

  • I have the same capo, it was 10 euro instead of 40

  • i have the same capo! does the mean im awesome like marty?

  • In the recording I've heard the guitar is played in E flat without the capo.

  • nice, your dog likes Beatles :)

  • @nilsi1987 When you play long enough, you dn't need to learn more, you just watch it once and you play... At least i do that..

  • ohai c3po. that lucky guy.

  • wanna be that dog and listen to marty play all day! Woof!

  • Ruination

  • Ok so this is not really a strummer type song but it is most recent and might get a response easier.. I've seen lots of strumming styles and the people that have a true understanding of keeping the rhthm seem to cock their wrist at your same angle and flick the wrist when swinging arm a bit.. Gimme some of the MOJO Marty!! After a year I am still struggling a bit with stupid strum patterns!! What is the secret? I need to film myself or sit in front of mirror??? WHAT is it?? This is killin me!

  • It would be greatly appreciated if you could make a video on how to play "My Heroine" by Silverstein on Acoustic.

  • @taakberg It's not too hard mate!... Chords are.. Am7, a7, D, Dm F#m7, B, E7 A.. Then repeat for intro an verse .. :D I can't remember the chorus :/ x ... The picking pattern is pretty self explanatory, just fool about with it, you'll get it :D

  • @Amylouthomas Played it, but it just doesn't sound right... Or maybe it's just me :D Thanks anyway

  • i think that your dog with that expression on his face is trying to say: can i sing, please?

  • please do echoes by pink floyd marty

  • Re: the song's key, Alan Pollack's "Notes on" entry on the song says:

    - It's in D in versions played at the original speed (i.e. Anthology 2 and Let It Be... Naked)

    - It's speeded up to E-flat on the WWF version (on Past Masters)

    - It's slowed down to D-flat in the version on Let It Be

  • Sweet!! Thanks Marty!
