lol... i was there too... was browsing you tube for the video really... i diditn get to take any videos of it because we were already asked to leave... a lot of people were complaining because they couldnt get to their lockers... i was sad i couldnt get a soda refill before we left hehehe
Called Six Flags today and they were very nice. I missed the vouchers that were passed out at the park, but they offered to comp everything I spent - including the parking and locker fees. All I have to do is fax in my receipts. If you were there and need to do this, go to the Six Flags website, get their phone number, call and ask for Guest Relations.
That day was crazy. The park was not prepaired for an emergency situation. You had small children looking for parents. They had us waiting in the parking lot with no shoes, burning in the hot sun for close to 4 hours with no communication. Oh I do have to say they handed out water and ice for about 2 hours. They need to retrain the life guard in how not to panic when someone has passed out from dehydration. no need to run and push people out of the way.

Ok i was one of the lifeguards there and it was a simple accident that has neer happened at this water park. This is actually the first fire event that ever happened here so dont say it only happens in a ga waterpark becuase it is not true. you were just unfortunate to be there on that day. I want to apologize to all of the guest and I hope this sad accident won't keep you all from coming.
I was there too we were about to go in the Little Hooch. No refunds for me because i had a seasonal pass! I hate how it just ruined our day so little fire so big smoke.
@ptwins12 that wasn't the whole fire, it burst into an inferno just a few minutes later, it was also spreading to the wood on the stairs nearby, it certainly was not a small fire

I was standing to your right somewhere, shortly before it bursts into bigger flames. Can't even enjoy a day at the water park without this stuff happening. Only in Georgia.
