  • thank you so much for the info and links...I am doing "smart carbs" and counting them, keeping them to 60.... everyone has to do their own program... sugar is one thing I dont touch at all.. I stay away from fruit, except an occasional strawberries and an very occasional avacado.I think cutting back on products wth gluten is a great idea too. what sort of salad dressing do you use? Protein shake, low carb ones,the whey ones are great to start the morning.just search weightloss protein shakes

  • thanks for watching, I think you have to do what works best for you, right now I am trying to get back to losing weight , so I am sticking to 30 carbs a day to jump start my weight loss again.

    I use the Ken's buttermilk ranch dressing,(1 carb, 1 sugar) and also eat Krafts Seven Seas Red Wine Vinergrete, that brand has the lowest sugar and carbs, 2 carbs and 2 sugars I have not tried the protein shakes yet, thanks for sharing.

  • What phase are you in? Induction? Oh! one more question....did you gain your weight while doing low carb?

  • I am doing my own induction,I only eat 20-30 net carbs a day (I subtract the fiber)no fruit, no nuts,No caffeine because caffeine stalls me, no alcohol when I am trying to get back into ketosis(fat burning mode). I ingest coconut oil and it really works for me. I have never gained while eating low carb(30-40net carbs for me). I gained back 10lbs because I ate sugar off and on since the holidays, and it messed my my metabolism,. I experimented with foods, I use Atkins as a guideline only.
