As an Athiest, I couldn't be happier Josh (and others) find something other than themselves to believe in as long as it causes no harm to others. I wish religious people could understand that just because we don't all believe in the same thing we should still be good people and good to each other and tolerant of others beliefs as long as it harms nobody else and if it makes them a better person I am all for that.

Josh is sharing his story, his success and his failures. He has admitted he relapsed and it again getting back on track. Amazing how someone of Josh's influence and his being so outspoken about what is in his heart causes others to be so hateful and judgemental. God is real my friend and I pray you come to know Him, just not of Him. Even demons know He exists, but when you personally know Him it changes things. As far as reading philosophy, please read some C.S. Lewis, not all philosophy is based on proving God doesn't exist and if youre a true intellectual try and disprove his theories. But again God loves you, no matter what you think of him...Romans 8:28

i never said that philosophy sets out to disprove the existence of a supreme being... and of course there are philosophers that use god as a tool in their explanation of existence. anyway, its just my opinion that believing that someone is working with god or god is telling them what to do is a desperate way to understand ones life. if hamiltons family member where to die in a horrible accident next year lets see what he will have to say then.

i know a lot of people that have gotten over addiction without having to use god as a tool to help them. so my theory is people use "god" to help them cope and understand the world.. other people use other gods.. and other people just cope with the world around them without and explanation... or cope with death. but im not judging religious people either... whether it be catholics or satanists

Your opinion people is your opinion. personally I am a believer and I will try to get a lot of people to belive in Christ! He died on the cross for our sins. He has mercy on us. There will be a day when lightning strikes and there will be no more. As in no more all Christ like people will be gone! I thank God for Josh! He has come through so much, and he is so much better! i understand its easier for you to understand the concept of god, than to read some books other than the bible and try to understand a bit more how things got here. read up on philosophy, and science. there is no answer on how everything and everyone got here they just did, and religion is a way for people to PRETEND they understand because it makes them feel better, which is cool, but you would think since this "god" is all love than why would he allow his servants to torture and murder?

antekkk, I read your comments and I have to say I totally disagree with you, and so here I am a 24 year old who has been diagnosed with cancer for the second time in my life. My life has been brought to zero so people can see God work through it. I pray like Josh Hamilton that I can be a good messenger of the story we have to share about the real God who sustains us through our hard times.

Yes religion is boring, people throughout history have killed in the name of God and done other disgraceful things. We are a fallen, perverted race who uses any reason to justify getting the things we want. But for me the proof God exists is in stories like Josh's and myself. When you truly believe you see a change in your life which you can't deny isn't you. A strength that youve never known.
