  • you gotta be kidding

  • her husband asked her to take her cloths off ( because he's her husband only in the movie not in reality . . . . , thanks director for putting that scene in the movie . . . ).

  • I understand this part is disturbing or meant to be disturbing. BUT. It is also very hot. The whole male dominance thing.

  • So this is disgusting? Women take off their clothes for strangers every day and most of you consider it beautiful. Having the power position changed doesn't change the nature of it. It's either always disgusting or always beautiful. This film makes you consider that. The things you normally find beautiful are in fact disgusting.

  • I was waiting the entire time for a counter of the women haha

  • its alrigh tthis film

  • take off your clothes honey bunny.

alright don't any of you pricks move or i'll execute every last one of you!

  • I can never get off unless someone is tied up, screaming, or crying.

  • @empyblessing I masturbated to this scene, rewound it, then masturbated some more.

  • @BliksemSP you are sick man

  • i swear to god if any body comes to my house and asks for eggs i will move immediately

  • lexo30. Paul Answers your question in the Movie! Is it enough? You want a real ending wright? the movie is trying to hammer a point home about The nature of horror films! This is what I would Call TRUE HORROR FILM! with all the Hollywood bullshit stripped away! They don,t glorify violence in this, as a lot of that happens off screen! to me this film is supposed to make u think, I can,t say that about any other modern horror film!

  • I think if this movie's ending pisses you off, disgusts you, etc. then the director has succeeded. It's brutal, unfair, blatant violence, and it just simply makes a comment on what humans are capable of doing. Sorry if I spoil the ending for anyone, but hey, the pretty, blonde, damsel in distress doesn't always win. Sometimes a movie makes a movie with the use of inversion - where the antagonists win.

  • @HannieeeAllStar Youre analysis is better then most. Yes this movie is all that but above all we must not forget that this movie in the end has made an extremly brutal example of pointlessness

  • @TheSFODD did you not watch the movie properly?

  • @diannadolly I have and as the director has pointed out he made this movie with the intention of pointing out the pointless violence in media im not criticising the movie just pointing out what the theme is.

  • @TheSFODD why do ppl say tht....too me it doesnt, its just showing u the horror the 2 love to do, and makes u think how many victims there will be and how many will suffer like tht family did!

  • @MovieHound17 Because if i viewed a movie as simply I would not be able to enjoy as many movies a i had. Also whether or not you enjoy the theme the director still intended it to be there.

  • @TheSFODD how is tht simple? trust me there r a lot of simple movies with no direction script, and i mean alottt nowadays! but this movie is great.....but the original is better!

  • Do we actually see her naked in the movie?

  • I watched this movie. Two hours of my life shot in the neck. I want 'em back.

  • I ahte cameras that ad in all the detail (the clothes rubbing against her skin, her swallowing her spit etc.)

  • @Lasadialarwen I think your beef is with sound - not the camera. Interesting you said camera though, might show that their technique was very effective.

  • These idiots should have told the dumb blonde to turn around too.

  • Dumb parents breed dumb children.

Tip all the mother have to do is slap the other guy and tell her friend that the guy try to sexually harass her as the boat approaches.

    -End of the story.

    Shall we call it:

Mind FUCK Condom? Mind Fuck Chastity Belt? or Reverse Mind FUCK? Mind Fuck Rapex?

  • Quite possible the most horrific film I have ever watched. My heart was at 170bpm for every second. In fact it was so uncomfortable to watch that I virtually couldn't. It told me a lot about myself however. Essentially that were I in a position to batter the two psychos I'd have tortured them to death for a week.

  • the people who dont like this film are the same idiots who think wealth and material objects mean something

  • @thefriendsociety lol what? doesnt even make sense

  • @IPawnt I AM SENSE.

  • @thefriendsociety I AM SPERM.

  • "What did I say?" *slaps hand* "No Jelly Rolls". Haha! Love it.

  • The german version is better. But Pitt was fantastic in his role.

  • @ansgarrules *Austrian

  • @cheekypants321 Touché :D Thanks.

  • naomi watts mmmmm.

  • Does anyone else think that the husband looks like a CREEPER?

  • this was probably the illest movie throughout the past 5 yrs. it wassn't exeptionally cruell such as many horror movie but so damn realistic that it made me felt full of consternation

  • that guy with the bat or golf club kind of looks like a modern day Nazi, anyone else agree.

  • No Jelly Rolls ;]

  • This is an anti film. It's purpose is fulfilled when it is not watched. That's why we are asked "Have you had enough?". There is no excuse for watching this in its entirety.

  • awesome,, too bad they didnt show her body, i wish to see her naked in that situation:D:D:D

  • lol stop at 0:36

robert carlile like -w- take it off~~~

  • @Pann1230 Robert Carlisle? :s Tim Roth maaayn!

  • take of your clothes, honey..it sooo fucking hot!!!!!!

  • only if u get turned on by people who look petrified, taking their clothes off.. myself id rather someone who has taken them off on their own accord

  • this movie is soo sad how the boy dies =[

  • thanx for letting me know he dies :(

  • @LordMalice6d9 ur fuckin weird. faggit

  • They came to my house once, I wasnt home though

  • So how do you know if they came to your house?

  • haha brady's smile is so cute

  • tht guys grin is funny!!! :)

  • whats the song name by marilyn manson in the end ? ?

  • Comment removed

  • @SuperVa1 song is mutilation is the most sincere form of flattery (sorry if you got the other comment saying otherwise :P)

  • @SomeJamaicanKid Thank you soo much, I appreciate it anyway ;) add me if you want ;) keep it up !

  • I'm confused, are you saying that the German version is good or not? They're both almost exactly the same, and the ending's no different. Besides, being shocked and disturbed is the entired point.

  • I would want to watch the original film as long as it has english subtitles

  • The original is Austrian, not German. Just so you know...

  • what is the original called

  • It has the very same title as the English-speaking version. It's an Austrian film that came out in 1997.

  • @The4thGuy What sort of point? Life is shocking and disturbing, frequently in important ways. Funny Games is shocking and disturbing in a trivial way: it tells me that some films (namely this one) are gratuitously violent. But I already knew that. It's also shocking and disturbing that a supposedly intelligent man would go the trouble of making a movie about a point that has long since been made.

  • @The4thGuy The Remake and original are all the same.. the script the camera work everything , other then the actors.

  • she loved it

  • HOT

  • You fucking dick head hahaha, I knew it.. you like licking your own ass full of shit!

  • 0:41

a little sympathy from mr sadistic?

  • Not at all. That's just the way he was watching her. It's actually a very predatory look.

No sympathy, whatsoever. These two are pure bred psychopaths.

  • i wonder if .... if people saw all the violence . saw naomi naked and didnt rewind the peter killing i wonder still if people would still hate it?

i bet my life they would love it

which proves the directors point perfectly

it made me chuckle thats all xxx

  • People who dont like this film and just come on here to make comments saying how bad it is, then I pose a question to you:

Why did you bother to youtube a film YOU DONT EVEN LIKE?!

If you dont like it dont bother to leave a comment on it and go search films you do like!

  • So you're basically saying that we can't have an opinion.

  • @shavoisgod

its because we don't like it that we want to leave hate. don't we have a right to an opinion.

  • @shavoisgod I comment because I think it's a stupid and trivial movie, and I want to try and persuade people who think that there's something wonderfully meaningful about it that that's not the case. I argue that Haneke is a shit filmmaker because I truly believe that he is one. Why should I shut up about one of my deepest-held convictions? I wish he were a good director, because I prefer to praise, but I get angry when I see people thinking that there's something very deep about this crap.

  • @lexo30 If you did not feel creeped out and shocked when you saw this film, then there's something wrong with you.

If you did however, the movie has served it's purpose.

  • @MartinDenStore You miss my point. I disagree that the fact that I didn't 'feel creeped out and shocked' means that there is something wrong with me. This is a fictional film, and I was never under any doubt that that was the case. I have no problem distinguishing fiction from reality, and neither do most people. Michael Haneke seems to believe, however, up on his lofty perch, that most of us have exactly that problem, which is why he makes preachy rubbish like this.

  • @MartinDenStore Even if - which I don't actually believe - most people do have a problem distinguishing between fiction and reality, the proportion of people with that problem drops significantly when you consider the proportion of people who are likely to see a Michael Haneke movie, because he is a European arthouse filmmaker whose films tend to be seen only by that relatively educated and sophisticated proportion of the population who've been to university and live in large cities.

  • @MartinDenStore The very idea that a film director gets to decide what is 'wrong with' me is something that I find profoundly arrogant, insulting and pretentious in a very bad way. Who the fuck does Michael Haneke think he is, other than just one arthouse film director among many others? Who made him arbiter of my moral health? I will decide what is and what isn't 'wrong with' me, thanks.

  • @lexo30 OK, like this:

Everyone that like this film found it disturbing. I for sure did, but somehow, YOU, do not get these feelings. I can accept that. But apparently he's not a shitty film-maker since many actually DO get these feelings. It's not a "deep" movie or anything. It's a disturbing movie that sticks to your brain once you've seen it.

Go watch ANY hollywood film and they'll tell you exactly what you find exiting, or scary, or funny. Isn't this the case with all films?

  • @MartinDenStore Sure, all Hollywood films are put together according to the filmmakers ideas of what the audience will find funny, exciting, scary, whatever. But most filmmakers do not share Haneke's condescending attitude of 'Well, if you didn't find my film shocking, then there is clearly something wrong with you.' To Haneke, my boredom and irritation is a symptom of some sickness in me, not of some weakness in his film. But he should grant me the freedom to react however I want.

  • @MartinDenStore It's not that I don't like difficult films. (My favourite director is Robert Bresson.) What I dislike is Haneke's sour, preachy, high-handed manner, coupled with his obvious use of shock effects to get attention. He's the William Castle of arthouse directors.

  • @lexo30 Are we discussing whether he's an attention whore or not? Cause he very well might be, and I don't care much for those ppl myself, but when it comes to making films, at least this one is pretty spot on. If the goal is to make the audience feel frustrated and shocked, he's succeeded. It's basic psychology and experience that says that this will cause some difficult feelings for most people; it's not something he's made up like some sect leader.

  • @MartinDenStore I guess that you've hit the nail on the head.

'If the goal is to make the audience feel frustrated and shocked, he's succeeded.' I agree, and I think that that's what he wants to do, and I think that that's a stupid and childish thing for a filmmaker to want to do. Life is frustrating and shocking. I believe that, contra Haneke, most people are not living some kind of massive lie which they need to be shocked out of.

  • @MartinDenStore It's like Haneke just read Adorno and thinks that he needs to tell us all about it. Paul Verhoeven's American movies already did what Haneke would dearly love to do, by being mainstream movies that were more violent and visceral than most people wanted. Haneke is like certain visual artists who think they're being incredibly radical by doing something in a gallery that people having been doing on the internet on a pay-per-view basis for years.

  • @lexo30 Okay, wait wait. You are spamming names but I still haven't gotten a real argument why this is not a good film. We've all been to 4chan, and nothing is ever new under the sun, but why is the movie not good?

  • @MartinDenStore I don't know what 4chan is. (Please, enlighten me.) The movie is not good because it is superfluous. There is no need for a movie to tell us that movies sometimes contain gratuitous violence; we already know that. Therefore, a movie which is consciously designed to contain nothing but gratuitous violence, because of the director's belief that we ought not to like that kind of movie, is nothing but a self-promotional gesture. It's certainly a huge waste of time, money and energy.

  • @MartinDenStore Haneke, in my view, is a deeply confused and incoherent artist who has mistaken himself for a genius. I think that what he deep-down wants to do is make nasty little violent movies rather like Paul Verhoeven's, but because he is more high-minded, more idealistic and more puritanical than Verhoeven, his conscience won't let him do it. Which is why he ends up making things like Funny Games instead.

  • @shavoisgod Everyone is entitled to their opinion man, if its a valid one and they can explain why they think it is a bad film - so be it! You counter it with why you think it is a good film perhaps. If it isn't constructive, then fuck them. Don't bitch and moan man, thats what the idiots want and just what those who hate the film don't need to hear from it's fans (otherwise it would get very Twilight indeed.)

  • @shavoisgod obviously your not intellegent enough to bring your intelligence down to their level to understand why.... sadly neither am i

  • lol this movie was great.

  • Well i can understand where you are coming from but all the movies in which (the bad guys) get killed isn't how the world works. people, innocent people, kids as well get killed everyday in sick and twisted ways i think it's good to be realistic if only for the sake of being cautious and aware to the truth of things and not to fill your life with false illusions of how the world SHOULD be.

  • your

    100

    right.

  • Well that's true. Considering how fucked up this world is with all these psychos running around and doing this to other ppl.

  • That is the point though not everyone in life who gets killed is "innocent" my best friend was murdered had chemicals injected in his veins and was thrown in a dumpster to rot and he never hurt a single soul and until that day i had a clouded idea that that would never happen to anyone i know never in my life i thought because he was innocent that it wouldnt touch him but it did my point is this things happen to good people innocent people all the time and it is better to know it than be damaged

  • Apparently you can take the fake stuff, but only when it's "realistic" is when you take a stand against violence. It's clear you failed Haneke's test. Here's a hint: It's a film.

  • who care i think all rich ppl should die! this movie is great. the best part in my eyes was when Paul had the little kid in the house.

  • Huis clos de Sartre... "l'enfer c'est les autres"... Je suis mal à l'aise face à ce film. Dénonce-t-il comme le Sodome de Pasolini? Ou est-il complaisant?

  • WAD IS THE MOVIES NAME?

  • funny games.

  • no jelly rolls, tubby!!!

  • ... this just popped in my mind... Michael Haneke.. He kinda looks like Leonardo Dicaprio...

  • michael pitt... haneke is the director

  • Hey he does!

    But Leo's still cuter xD

  • when does the DVD come out?

  • tha dvd has already come out.

  • I thought it was pretty fecking frightening, despite the script being really funny. Laughing at a situation this cruel and pointless made me feel like a total bastard. Which is why i thought it was a great film.

  • what is it he says before this part, now that the kiddies in the bag lets see if mommas titties sag ? that parts hilarious :D

  • thats a marilyn manson song at the end right? if it is what is the name of it???

  • mutilation is the most sincere form of flattery

  • ahahahahaahahahaha no jelly rolls ahahahahahaahaahahaah :D

  • Why is there people who think it´s cool when a person gets humiliated?Poor peop´,I wish they would treat u the same,to understand..

  • i wish naomi watts would treat me like that to

  • LOL me too!!

  • it's a horror movie! wtf!???

  • This is one of the best horror movies ever fucking made.

  • This is NOT a horror movie.

  • you guys that love this kind of movie ....you suck!

  • this scene made me very uncomfortable

  • well i thought i was, some one told me it wuz, dusnt mean im a dumb fuck...

  • it does actually, sorry

  • whos it by then fuckwad?

  • Never ming I was thinking of the real ending

  • These filmmakers are fucking awesome.

  • Stupid films for stupid people. The world is going to chaos. Every time there are more people with a very ill mind. Why don´t you use your mind for a positive things???

  • opener and actually see into doing what is nessesary in life to help the world against these things whilst not becoming one of them. Trust me, it aint easy. Everyone is looking for the hero, but no one in real life is getting off their ass to do something right and within human ethics. Killing the villain isn't ethics. Don't forget everything can be used for good just the same way that everything can be used for bad. It all comes down to us in the end. The film maker is giving u a choice! Pick!

  • play these games and filter out all the shit, build their immune system if I may say so. then there are those that will play the games and go out for a massacre or start speeding in the streets cause they think life is a race..lol.. Everyone needs to have enough responsibility to know what they are doing and why they are doing it. And, if someone knows also how to control these sub-conscious images and use them wisely, they can turn it all to something good. Some people may see this as an eye

  • Fact of the matter is that subconscious images, one way or the other are being passed through this film. Those that call it art in their own mind are right, those that get disturbed by such images, in their mind are also right. The point is to see something like this and don't let it affect you. If u think u are too week to judge your actions against something like this then obviously don't go watching it. It's like a first person shooter, or Need For Speed. There are those among people that can

  • hahahahah bravo no jelly rolls hahahahaha

  • Yea they are cute huh?!!?!?!? ugh gosh but i think brady's the cutest

  • They dint show ler!!

  • It was all sad, and then

    "See? No jelly rolls."

    lol.

  • Some people just need to stop being such ass holes, this is an amazing film..If you don't care for it don't veiw it...I sware you peolpe just find things to gripe about.

  • What's the name of the song at the end?

  • What's the name of the song at the end? I can't find it. Please help.

  • "You, me, and the Devil Make 3"- Marilyn Manson

  • LMAO. bravo! what did i say? no jelly rolls.

my god they are so cute.

  • ehm...so this movie would be ok if there was some hero who saved the family? This movie is about opening our eyes that nothing justifies violence! It doesn't matter why they do it, who they are, where they come from. There is no hero in reality, there is no one who will save you. They turn to us inte the audience and asks us "Have you had enough?" People who dont like this movie cant se the world for what it is. There is no heros.

  • There is no heroes? What a moron!

  • This movie looks incredible. Brilliant. The only similarity between this and A Clockwork Orange is the fact that they wear white (Not even that much similar, because ACO's clothes are derived from the 1800's and other things like rubber bloody eyes as a sleeve button) and the fact that they murder. McDowell did play an amazing role, but he was not calm the whole movie. He yells and has alot of emotion in that film. In this film, Corbitt and Pitt are completely calm. another similarity:

    amazing.

  • Why are people going crazy over this movie?

It was ment (sp?) to be disturbing, OBVIOUSLY, why would it be called a horror movie if not? It go's very far in sanity, and show's how sick in the head some people can be. Everyones entitled to their own opinion and everything, but come on. This is a good movie if you can take mind games, and UNDERSTAND it, if not then you will just rant about how boring and stupid the movie was because your mind cant grasp the concept of the whole movie.

  • this looks like complete and utter filth

  • You don't have to watch if you don't like it. Things like this have happened, as has rape and murder of children. This is just an aesthetic view upon the facts.

And in real life, there are no happy endings like all the nasty people being punished and the nice ones living forever happy and having a lot of children or whatever. This is not the standard teen horror movie. This is the real stuff. I understand that people with a better opinion of humanity than me may be shocked. I'm not.

  • oooooooh;

    saw this movieee todaaay

    i totally loveeed it;

the german version was waaay good to

  • Omg dude this is a movie. For entertainment we got to movies to see stuff that we our selfs would never do.Kinda like 2chicks one cup.

  • Agh. People want to see that? D=

  • you cant actually 'see' them getting killed (and no one is getting raped). in real life you cant draw a line if you think you've had enough. i think thats the message of this film.

  • why don't you protest upon real killers, and not a reflection of whats going on in your real neighborhood
