It wasn't just a body designed to use current engines like you would find with GM vehicles say a 96 beretta and a 2001 malibu both have a v6 3100. The engine was designed for it specifically by bmw. So the engine was built specifically for the vehicle. So for any stock car not labled (supercar) it would be fair for them to build an engine to stand up to the mclaren. Weight differential, etc.

A Nissan Skyline, even kitted out with the same 6 litre V12 as the F1, would still have lost that race. The F1 has a much higher power-to-weight ratio, and a much lower drag coefficient. Hell, you could kit the Skyline out with the W16 out of a Veyron, and it would still have lost, for exactly the same reasons
the only way you can buy a skyline is if you go or live in california. or unless you have one imported from japan. either way will cost around 60,000-80,000 dollars. mosr if you have it imported

A Nissan Skyline, even kitted out with the same 6 litre V12 as the F1, would still have lost that race. The F1 has a much higher power-to-weight ratio, and a much lower drag coefficient. Hell, you could kit the Skyline out with the W16 out of a Veyron, and it would still have lost, for exactly the same reasons

the only way you can buy a skyline is if you go or live in california. or unless you have one imported from japan. either way will cost around 60,000-80,000 dollars. mosr if you have it imported

Mclaren is a 3 seater, driver just sits in the middle.
Plus, who cares which car is "Faster". The idea here wasn't to put down the Skyline, it was to show how fast a F1 actually is. I mean you never get to see one at your local dragstrip.
Plus the F1 has an NA engine built by BMW, if someone had the money to turbo one.....OMG it would make like a 1000 freaking hp on pump. Skylines are bad ass, but the F1 is a Legend.

The F1 is made with expensive parts and materials including solid gold, its extremely rare and rarity adds to the price, it has over 600hp and it can hit 240mph without forced induction, it was the world's fastest production car for over 10 years and it still is the world's fastest naturally aspirated car. The Skyline needs all sorts of shit done to it just so it can get to the F1's starting point, there is just no comparison.
