later on martha hart sued the wwf (and still is) over the rights to even mention his name. later in 1999 wcw went to the kemper arena and bret tributes owen and in wwfs game (wwf attitude) they salute owen in one of the opening scenes

let me tell yall somethin vince didnt end the show cuz he thought fans would riot. to make it up he gave the next night to owen and called it "raw is owen." gave it 3 hours of running time,10 matches with no beefs, and segments with all wwf superstars except UT and HBK telling people how much they loved owen especially mark henry. he had the most tearful poem. then at owen's funeral vince tried to bring bret back to the wwf and put the wwf title on him but bret refused.

I life in England it came on at 1am and finished at 4am and I had school in the morning. After watching what happened to Owen some wrestlers just didn't give a shit even you can see a dent in the ring and blood. The wrestlers who showed who cared was Jerry the king, Jeff Jarret, Debra, the Rock when he was coming in the ring see him crying a little and the Undertaker when he is in the ring you can see him in tears and looking at where Owen died and really trying not to cry.

Let me tell some facts about Owen the reason the wwe can't mention Owen's name is his wife hates wwe and Vince she blames him for Owen's death if they talk about Owen Martha can sue them again that's why he is not in the H.O.F they would have to ask his wife and you no what the answer will be? Bret can talk about Owen it was his brother then Martha can't say shit about it and Bret as a right they were very close and you can see he is still heartbroken about Owen's death. RIP Owen

I don't care about people buying tickets, or ppv's, but when one of your workers DIES literatlly in the middle of the ring and the owner not only keeps the show going, but goes into character and competes! Worst move the WWF/E ever did...show some class, the fans cheering Owen is cool tho.

And they act like owen never existed, I guess it'll bring that awkwardness of what happened but seriously, when was the last time that anyone has heard the name Owen Hart on WWF/E tv? Ridiculous!!

well bret mentioned him on his hall of fame speech and they mentioned him in 2001 when stu hart was at ringside for the chris benoit vs triple h match. but they cant even put owen in the hall of fame because his widow owens the owen hart name.

@eli24128 the reason for that was because vince thought if he had stopped the show the fans would riot so the next night he gave superstars the option to come to work or not when raw is owen started every superstar (except taker and hbk) were present and all gave tearful peoms the show ended with steve austin leaving a beer in the ring for owen. at his funeral every superstar was there including undertaker. vince tried to bring bret back but bret refused. later they got sued by his wife martha

Owen Hart has been my favorite wrestler my whole life until he died. I was in 6th grade and one of the persons i look up died...I was hysterical the mornign i seen him on TV news channel..I even cried in my 6th class grade out of nowhere...And R.I.P for all those good wreslters that never been forgetten like The British Bulldog,Mr.Perfect.Big Bossman.Test.Crash Holley...etc..I can be doin this all night..but thats my opionion...R.I.P owen youll never been forgotton..and your a not a nugget btw!

@eli24128 They don't mention Owen these days because his sister sues people if they do.So they can't pay tribute to him or induct him in the hall of fame. WWE wanted to release a dvd of Owen that had some of his best matches and she sued them so none of us can see it. She even sued WWE because her own brother Brett wore a t-shirt of himself and his brother (Owen) on raw (t.v) last year. Owens sister is rich because of her brothers alone period... not to mention the multi-million dollar lawsuits.

1. i doubt even vince would care to make money off a dvd of this knowing a wrestler died on his watch, 2. im sure guys like taker and triple h dont care to have anything out on the market that would remind them of the night a friend of theirs died on live tv, and 3. putting out a dvd of this would almost gurantee a lawsuit from owen's widow, considering she resented bret for accepting his hof induction i doubt she'd sit by and not do anything
