Most copies of the ROA study Bible go to prisoners- many of whom have NOT been reading since childhood (at least to judge by the lessons they send in for grading). I honestly appreciate your in-depth study, but I'd like to point out that the study notes can be helpful to the less educated, as long as it is made clear that the notes are not part of the Holy Scripture. I think ROA does a good job in keeping them distinct.
@mapgirlhah The problem is, if someone can't understand something as simple as "Have ye any meat?" without an explanitory footnote, how can that person possibly understand the verses that are actually hard to understand (and which don't have footnotes)? If you have to explain the simplest verses, then you'd have to explain EVERY verse, which they don't, so what's the point?
I have a friend who was part of Rock of Ages Prison mInistry for some time prior to marrying my other friend. They both have ROA Bibles. Anyway, I , like you, have a great admiration for that ministry, but I had not looked much into the notes. Appreciate the article.
I'm always wary of any Bible that has "study" in front of it, hehe. On second thought, their still fun to read though, just to see how bad they've messed everything up.
Oh, by the way, your blinds back there are about to fall. I'm sure you already knew that though.

@Onetruthrgv None of flawless of course, but the most useful ones I've found are shown in my "Respectable Reference Bibles" video.
