I have a Flip Mino HD, that's it - I haven't tested any other cameras, so I can't offer you an opinion. I'm sure you can find reviews of all these cameras out there though...
ehh, Zi6 is cool, but its not weather proof so not something youd be filming ur snowboard trip with u kno? and if ur gonna be safe filming u might as well just get a nice sony hd camcorder
the only problem with this cam is that it has the same guts as the zi6, which means that it will shoot just as crappy in low light as did the zi6. everything else about this cam gets me excited, especially the expandability, but i'm gearing more for the creative vado hd, since it is, in my opinion, the best "bang for your buck" pocket hd cam. yeah the mino hd shoots better, but the vado hd has twice the recording time, a wide angle angle lens, and shoots pretty damn good in low light.
yes, it is a fact. i was told this by kodak themselves. ironically enough, i actually purchased the zi6, simply for the fact that it cost me $100, and it came with a 32gb card from a friend who was desperate for cash. it's alright for shits and grins and to keep in the glove compartment, but next to the canon hv20, it sucks ass, of course. my advice is to hold out and wait a little longer and see what comes out in the next few months.
thx for the quick response. looking for one for outdoors thats why i think this might be great for me but also looking at a rca ez209hd. prob end up with the rca one instead...looking for reviews but its not out.
yeah, you are right. despite the features it has that the mino hd does not, it still comes down to video quality, and the mino hd is far more superior. but regardless, for real shooting, i use my canon hv20.
Wide-angle lens? Low light performance? If I'm not going for a Vado HD I'm setting my hopes on the new RCA EZ209HD. Look it up, it's even sexier looking then the Zx1.
As a Kodak Zi6 customer and enthusiast, I cannot wait for this camera. At the price point, you get a hell of a lot including the rechargable batteries and charger and an HDMI cable. A 4 gig SDHC card is roughly $15 on the web in various stores, so you're talking $160 and you're good to go.
Yeah, there's definitely a lot of value for the dollar. I was also amazed at how this unit felt so much higher in quality than the Creative VADO. This unit is a bit heavy though. I dislike the use of AA batteries though - I'd rather have a Lithium Ion battery. I prefer devices that I can recharge on their own, not ones that require the constant purchase of batteries or having to pack a recharging unit. Not a huge deal breaker though...
Having used the Zi6 for as long as I have (pretty much since it became available), I have to say that the AA batteries are the best feature by far. I was at my nephew's house and my batteries died while shooting Hanukkah. Have no fear! I had an extra set of AA batteries with me! Truth be told, being able to easily replace the batteries practically anywhere off the shelf is a plus. I'll take the size increase for that convenience. ;-)
I would not be able to help you directly... you should be able to return the card (and the camera).
I have a Zi6 that I use with a 16 GB card. I was considering the Zx1 for a present for someone.. also likely with a 16 GB card... As 32 GB in the sweet spot of price and capacity yet? I think I paid $35 for 16. I'd return the 32 GB and get 2 16 GBs and money back.
I was looking for some sample video of the Zi6 and noticed your comment on both of them. Deciding between that in flip ultrahd.
i bought mine yesterday for like $60 off amazon

Just make sure when you buy a SC card for this that its a high class one. I have not tested anything under class 10, but I guess class 6 would do.

it does not handle 32GB cards, the down load does not work, 16 GB may work but the 32 is a lie
