Hi , awesome your guitar, i have one question , i have one les paul custom 1978. the guitar is original and everything is okey onlyyyy at the name gibson the ( i ) is without the point above the letter i , is normal that ???
great playing Greg! I have 1 question... To get a clean sound, did u just lower the volume on the guitar? And what pickups are in this guitar? I have a 1974 les paul custom Black Beauty, so do u think that they both sound the same? Thanks.
@JackManDemand possibly just a little, but i think this video is horizontally stretched a fair bit making the whole guitar look a bit narrower than it should be.
From what city in Denmark are you are? I would like to have that good teacher!!! You play with a lot of feelings and you bend really good, good style!
metal is only stupid if you think its stupid =/ everyone has different tastes people may think this video is stupid some people dont everyone is different and every genre takes skill playing guitar takes skill XP
yeah, dude..he's right...no one plays like that in guitar shops,,,all these idiots get like a b.c. rich and a stupid line 6 amp and just play really gay metal shit
@qzguitar Line 6 SUCKS! i agree. all it is is a computer generated sound made to copy marshall, mesa, randall, fender, and peavey. I know all manufactures copied at some point but with as long as line 6 has been around, you'd think they would make their own sound and not copy others.
And B.C. rich's suck! people buy them because they think it looks metal. If you cant play real metal whats the point of trying to "look metal"? and all B.C. Rich is good for is looking gay. Like GLAM
@qzguitar ughh Its sounds even worse when they turn up the gain and treble all the way where it sounds all scratchy and then they start with the power chords lol ughh
@StickArenaProzDude it's a good mix where i live. guilty as charged, i'm usually that guy who does the blues noodling through the expensive tube amps... needless to say those line 6 spider insane channel guys know better than to get into a volume war with the guy using the 100 watt hiwatt with the 4x12 cab :P
So one day this metal guy about my age playing this Ibanez with a line 6 was playing too loud, so I got a peavey amp next to him, plugged in a (killer) Music Man Albert Lee HH and started copying his licks obnoxiously and at a much higher volume. His dad was right there, barely keeping himself from rolling on the floor laughing, he knew what was up. I guess dude knew what I was doing, as he left the store, he told me, "Nice playing dude".
@StickArenaProzDude LOL exactly. I go there playing hard rock, stoner rock stuff and also play some New Wave of british metal and thrash metal. The type of metal I hear from the people that play in guitar center is some grimy sounding rubbish shit, like grindcore.
@qzguitar Its not even like 80s Iron Maiden type metal stuff they play. They play shitty metal stuff. There is great metal and shit metal don't get it mixed up.
I had a Wine Red Custom for a while. Looked nice, but it didn't take long before I yearned for the ebony. The same would have happened if I chose white. You may be different, but ebony would be my choice.
i walked into an adults open mic blues jam thing at a local restaurant one summer night and got laughed at by a guy when he saw me take out my gibson les paul, probably stopped aughing when he heard me play it
@sonilink2 Mate, the Les Paul is the ultimate guitar! It can play everything! And yes it is perfect for jazz and blues as it is perfect for rock and metal!
i mean no doubt in my mind that this is the finest guitar made today but how do they justify the fucking price afew years ago it used to be £1500 then it went to £1800 then gibsons custom shop started making it and it went to £2000 now it jumped again to£2500 for a fucking guitar!!!
dude to tell u the truth i had an epiphone as a first electric guitar my next was a gibson les paul classic custom, and i think the epiphone was pretty close i mean sound wise. the bid difference is quality. keep the epiphone rockin and it will sound good trust me
Save up for some nice pickups like Fralin or Peter Florance, take a high speed automobile buffer to the fret board, roll the edges, and it'll play and sound like a million. Check out what stephens design pickups does, he puts killer pickups in cheapo guitars, sound great.
i've never heard of a dumble until now. i'm guessing it's a really nice vintage amp. how much are they? great guitar and fantastic playing as always man.
