hey i got 1 question my pc cpu and pc screen both support hdmi 1.2 so im using an hdmi cable ight now and i was wondering if there is eny difference in quality against normal vga ... im usun a resulution of 1600x900
@gameteacher101 I would expect that the HDMI connection would be superior to VGA but also depends on how good the video card is in your system. I always try to link up HDMI but try all the connections to see what works for you.
@projectgadget That’s the issue, it is clear. Too clear and it takes away the grainy look of film making it look almost like it was filmed with a camcorder.
@Villesanti makes sense now, you may need to invest in a projection system for movies. I enjoy a nice clear screen but something about a really big projection screen that seems more movie like. I was thinking about getting one to play around with. Let me know how it works out.
Next time, you might want to check out the HDMI cable from Optimized Cable Company as I got a really good picture and really inexpensive. It's not a monster cable brand so just wanted to share. cheers
Tests have shown any given no name cable to PASS Monster's own tests at any lenght below 3 meter at 200Hz 1080p and up to 10 meters @ 720p 60Hz. What's even funnier is how you have to crank it up to 20 meters to see any real life effects in terms of snow.
hi there thanks for the reply I know monster cables get a lot of bad press but i went thru shit loads of other cables and found the monster to be the best for the ps3 running thru a full hd tv and down here new zealand theres not to many to choose from cheers again.

HDMI sucks! It makes movies look cheap and if they were filmed with a camcorder. I was watching Shutter Island and it looked like a soap opera.
Villesanti 1 year ago
@Villesanti hmm, not sure what to say on that comment. Maybe your video device is outputting a lower resolution signal? HDMI should be very clear.
