The issue most guys fall into is giving the girl to much value be it online or in person. Guys flood her with attention and compliments. NO you are the prize to be won let her prove her value to you. Women are so use to guys giving them attention that it becomes boring they want what they cant have and thats hard to obtain. I put up a profile on POF as an experiment and after about 10 days i had a whopping 5 girls actually view it. then i put up a fake profile with a picture of my ex gfriend of many years who is pretty cute but it was downright disturbing how much attention the fake profile got. it was receiving about 80 emails a day and viewed by thousands of people in the same amount of time my real profile was viewed 5 times. the thing is these days is, girls can have anybody they want, they are sooo picky, and tbh, confidence although it does help - still doesnt guarantee u meeting a good female. Obviously low self esteem either attracts bad 1's or nothing at all, but confidence in urself is a plus, but i know lots of guys who are full of confidence and are still single for many years. Women are much more ruthless these days.

Although I agree with some of your commentary, I completely disagree that the high incidence of divorce is from people 'settling.' A lot of divorces are caused by jerks (male or female) who decide to walk away from a commitment because they 'want more.' It's very much an entitlement attitude & later, after they have caused much destruction, find they end up with nothing more than what they had--because marriage actually takes WORK!

Going through a divorce is the worst thing I've ever gone through. I agree...don't settle. And you're right, confidence is important...not cockiness, just like who you are and be yourself and know you have something to offer...that's all it is ;)
