The "Run to You" influence is so obvious that it calls into question whether this is a deliberate parody. In that light Sloan becomes the "other man" (woman?) that Bryan Adams is running to. Otherwise it is hard to avoid the conclusion that this just a case of Canadian songwriters cloning a song by an earlier Canadian songwriter.

@neutron212 -- I attribute the video's lack of views to the lack of good taste in music, thanks to the crap on the airwaves today. Sloan is one of the most underrated and underappreciated bands around. How Nickelback got famous and Sloan did not, well, I'll just never get it.
