I remember my first Emergency AAA on my first call weekend. As soon as we got in there was this geyser of blood. The whole procedure lasted like seven hours in the middle of the night. It was not a good experience. The guy died a few hours later.
@crist1819 you must go to medical school to become a surgeon. You must go into medicine and become a resident of surgery. But, there is a more technical approach. Become a surgical technologist then, become a surgical assistant. You will study surgery but will not be a surgeon. As an assistant you will operate on the patient under doctor supervision.
Very clear and informative. I find the plan drawings, labels and CT images most appropriately inserted and these also make the whole procedure self-explanatory and complete!Thank you for sharing!
I don't understand how is it possible. During the operation, how do the legs receive blood supply?

My AAA is 42 mm - I am looking for the new technique with a graft stent instead of an open repair.
