Can you play as British sub in this sim as they sunk numerous Jap vessels from 1943 onwards. Of note was the sinking of heavy crusier Ashigara by HMS Trenchant and cruiser Kuma by HMS Tally Ho.

Ok a stupid debate, Germany lost thier war...because of better Allied ASW and US production. Japan neglected ASW and padi the price. Both German and US submariners were brave and skilled.
As were all other nation's submariners. Also US and German subs had to fight in different environments. The German late war subs had some great innovations but I think were poorly constructed due to bombing, material shortages and slave labour. Otherwise US and Russian fleets borrowed their concepts.
Great video and I REALLY LOVED to see the specs of the computer which was used to capture that footage because I'm not very sure yet will I buy this game or not. Now I would like to see a video with all low level graphic settings because my computer isn't that great. 1,9GHz processor, 1 Gb Ram and so on, though graphic card is way too good for this computer, Radeon X1950 Pro 256Mb.
this amateur knee jerk SIrDrinksalot2 better head back to the bar he used to spend his time, mr incredible. Get on with your low profile stories elsewhere
I don't know anything about the gameplay, but if it's exactly the same as SH3, I'd rather go with SH3. A game about German subs is a lot more interesting than a game about American subs, considering that WWII German subs were so ingenious they got their own word in the dictionary (U-boat)
Ah, another moron fooled by the numerous German myths. Hey dumbass, if the kraut subs were so ingenious;
- why were the main US battle subs much more technologically advanced ?
- why was the main German battle sub of the war, the Type VII, obsolete by 1941 ? I'd suggest you do some unbiased research before spouting off bullshit again.
US submarines more advanced than German U-boats? I think you are the moron around here. By the end of the war Germany had lots of typ XXI subs at sea. Did you (the US) have anything similar at the time? I dont think so. In fact you copied that technology for you post-war diesel submarines.
Swing and a miss dumbass. The US boats had better FC computers, air conditioning, better engines, and better food storage. Regarding the late-war kraut boats, another myth you've fallen for by post-war propaganda. The US Naval officers and men who actually tested thos kraut boats thought very poorly of them, as did the US Navy as a whole; very very few ideas from them were copied over to US post-war boats. That's another myth; ideas were copied en masse.
sure, all myth. Which submarines had the first snorkel? It is used even today (more than 60 years later). Are you going to tell me that American submarines had it first?
Which submarines had the first homing acoustic torpedoes?
Lol, the snorkel was universally panned by the US Navy because it was flawed and dangerous to the crew. Meanwhile, post-war, the US developed nuke boats that made even the pos snorkel obsolete, lol, lol.... Get a copy of Clay Blair's (among others) books on the U-boats. Educate yourself%2
are you telling me that US diesel submarines had no snorkel after the war? You are completely ignorant. Diesel submarines made all over the world these days have it. Thats what makes them submarines and not just submersibles.
Educate yourself, and then come back.
P.s., ah, yes, the great kraut acoustic fish. Famous for circling back on the firing boat, and that's about it. Wonderful technology that ! lol, lol, lol.
US subs did have better targeting tools and other amenities but the kruat subs had better overall capabilities. Faulty torpedoe's were rampant on both sides but the kraut models were more powerful until Torpex was used.
mr. incredible, wants to tell us that US subs were the corvettes of ww2. Their fine food , and speed all made them practical and handy for some very fine sea picnic. Mr, please leave this topic once and for all and never come back. The absence of your lazyass would be a holy gift.
You oughta take up your own suggestion on doing research. I can't make every possible comparison and in some instances the specs are relatively close, but neither side had lack of technology, just lack of implementation. Your opinion of the Type VII u-boat is inacurate. There were many versions and even the 1941 versions could outdive any late-war US sub by almost twice their depth. Lucky for us (the Allies) the Type XXI was commisioned too late.
Alright, the first REAL reply to both sides ... but there's also one thing i've just to admit: @SIrDrinksalot2: Don't drink too much, cause already now, round'a'bout 80% of your statements are shit.
If it was obsolete why not just replace it??? Oh by the way, how many versions of US subs were there?? Many of which didn't even see service because they couldn't fulfill the role.....dumbass
The krauts themselves said/knew it was obsolete moron. Do some research. Regarding the US subs, care to list the versions that didn't see service because they couldn't fulfill the role ? I'll be waiting moron.
Not that they didn't "see service", one uneventful patrol counts as service but I'd love for you to express your stupidity by touting the wonders of the S-class, Barracuda, Argonaut, and Narwhall classes. Take off the rose colored glasses ya troll....I'm done with you.
SirDrinksalot -(Pisspot) your a moron. US did not have better or more technologically advance subs - good subs well equipped but not better. God I hate dickheads like you who spout abuse and bullshit. at others. US myths are as bad as German. Both get it so wrong.
SirDickheadalot - FUCK OFF! Come to Australia and get your head kicked in. I am not into Nazi or myths just can't stand ones that say this is better than that. US had good stuff but not the best same with the Germans. So get it right MORON. Spelling well sorry. Now PISS OFF. GET IT - that's ENGLISH!
Sorry, you say something ? Couldn't understand you, with that Kangaroo dick in your mouth. Hate to burst you bubble nancie, but yes, some things are better than others. In the real world anyway. But you won't know that until you leave the Ma & Pa Hotel.
I do believe it was German engineer, Otto Lilienthal, who was the first person to create a glider that could go long distances while carrying a person. Furthermore, it was the Wright brothers who invented the first engined airplane. (And no offense intended) I don't believe you (eal 106) should be criticizing someone else's English seeing as you yourself have some English grammatical errors.
Not to forget they saved you during the America vs England conflict. Yet how many time's Have American's Help Saved France 2 Time's yehhhhhh Can't even save there own country.Sad
US couldn't have taken Germanies blitzkreig in WW2 the only reason Britain wasn't plundered was because of "Der kanal" (English Channel) while the US pussied out and remained neutral. Just as bad as the Germans. Oh and Russia pretty much saved all of Europe seeing that 80% of German forces were on the Eastern front and Germanies first major defeat was Stalingrad often mistaken for the Battle of Great Britain. But Stalingrad was where the Germans started getting pushed back.
Yep definately ignorant since the French pretty much invented aircraft take a look at terminology Aileron, Fuselage, Empennage. Also the English language is built on French and Latin. Not to forget they saved you during the America vs England conflict. As for Romania it was a stronger military power then the US at the beggining of WW2 the US being ranked 17th by military power. You sir need a good history lesson cause you certainly sound like another 13 year old.
English is a Germanic language whereas French is a romance language. Also, English is also made up of many many different parts, not just French and Latin. Many of the words are actually German rooted (look at old English, the sentence structure even follows German word order most of the time). Also, look at the many English and German cognates.
