This is truly wonderful from one of the best bands to come out of the West Coast scene.Yet get hardly any recognition outside the sais state?!?! I'm a younger musician, but find this inspiring.THANKYOU....
Alan Bracket is an incredible bassist... I saw the original band live in July of 1967 and was totally impressed> I've been telling people about them for all these years. SO THIS IS GOOD.
Lead guitar (far left) is either Lance Fent or Bill Wolff, depending on which version of PBC this is. Between him and Karen Mitchell is John Merrill Rickenbacker 12-string. The bassist to the far right is Alan Brackett. Alan and John wrote the band's songs. The CD "Spreading from The Ashes" is highly recommended, as it collects all of the band's pre-Columbia tracks in one place. "Is There Anything I Can Do," "Dark on You Now" and "Enchanted World" are to die for.
I found James Voigt's mother yesterday and she informed me that Jimmy passed away from heart failure 7 years ago. We were childhood friends. Jimmy's mom said she missed me calling and singing to her over the phone. I used to try everything out on Jimmy's mom first. I promised to stay in contact with her.
@originalkillerguitar I knew Jim back when he lived in the Highland Park (CA) area, before the Peanut Butter Conspiracy was formed.. Thanks for the information about him..Sorry to hear of his passing.

This does my heart good! I discovered The PBC about 20 years ago, a cassette tape for $1 at a Big Lots! I was hooked!
