The bible is fucking bullshit. It was written by a tone of different people over long periods of time and has been changed and ripped apart since the days of Rome. It's no different than ancient mythology used to explain different things. Like there's an ancient story about how the isalnds of Japan were formed by drops of water from the gods. Th bible is the same thing. Some kid in ancient times say, "mommy, why does he speak a different language?" and she tells him the story of Babel.
