You should do an update video! What i mean by that is: where are you now on the making of the metal band? Where you able to acomplish your initial goals? Did you put a band together already? Just curiosity for someone who have been a fan for a while...
You seem to be quite knowledgable for someone who at this point in time just seems to be starting to dip their toes into the music scene. Continue to be inquisitive, ask people who have experience in the scene and most importantly network. Also allow whatever classical training you have to work for you. Find people with similar skill level and goals and continue to follow your goal. It's not an easy road by any means, but it could be well worth it. best of luck.

Yeah, I am not holding auditions until more of the material in written. That way the ground work can be laid before taking in more factors and mucking it up. Haha maybe I'll post clips of audition tapes here.
Yes. I will be doing the design for the merch, the CD label, the lyrics, composing the structure of the songs, controlling auditions, and aspects of the stage performance.
I don't want to over micro manage but at first it is needed to get stuff going.
I already have many of these ideas completely planned out :)

Yes, I had ideas on what the songs will be about and have a plan for the first album to be a concept album. To not give too much away, the first song has to do with retribution and the self imposed chains of Beowulf from the stand point of Grendel's mother.

And that sounds excellent to me. As long as you have good idea's, the sky is the limit. Knowledge regarding the music business can be learned. What is your writing process for the songs ?

I'm not going by a foruma but basically concept->lyrics-> a concept of song contour->melody of lyrics->incorporation of music concepts->adding "levels" and fleshing it out
For the initial writing I am using mostly piano and computer software which will in the end be translated to actual instruments :)
