IN MY OPINION, Mortal Kombat is THE BEST fighting game series of all time. If Street Fighter created the fighting game, then Mortal Kombat perfected it.

@bratosin1 Actually, I never really played Tekken. So actually I can't like it or hate it. I'll have to try it out. I don't hate street fighter, I just think it is overrated. For me, the Mortal Kombat series has the best characters. Except for the ninjas (in games 3 and trilogy who I still love) none of the characters overlapped one another. They were all different. I also like the humor that was subtlely put in. It was always my favorite fighting series.

To anyone wondering why the Cyborg ninjas have skeletons and organs. They were Lin Kuei ninjas put under a cyborg transformation procedure. They still maintained their skeletons and vital organs, but had a much stronger exterior and moving parts (as opposed to muscles).

DEFINITELY pre-ordering. I loved MK: Deadly Alliance and Armageddon!!! My sister and I can relate to everything in MK from playing those to games and laugh about memories we had playing it.

When MK vs DC came out fans flipped out at the T rating and for good reason. As for opening it to bigger audiences, if people disapproved of the violence before, adding a filter isn't going increase sales enough for the developer to warrant doing it and at this time in the development stage they should be focusing more on polishing the game instead of making ways to hide the work already done. I know, the first time I saw these fatalities I wanted to throw up because they're starting to look so real (even if they're exaggerated). But I'm sure after a while you'll get use to them as they start to lose they're shock value. Don't pass on this game because it seems a little to much, just try to make the adjustment to enjoy what it is

I love the new Reptile design. It's a nice blend of his classic human look from MK 1-3 and the totally reptiallian creature from MK Deadly Alliance. Much better then one he had in Aramgedden, which I thought looked kind of goofy with it's almost muppet-like appearance.
