Pretty humorous how fishermen in NC USA are unable to harvest a numerous amount of species with a hook and line but trawlers are protected by biological law. Even cast nets aren't listed as commercial fishing gear on commercial trip tickets( recorded landing forms). By the way, fishermen are still lawfully mandated to use a net size implemented by the FWC in FL USA which has a bycatch rate of 98%.
