@catbiturfac3 nice, i live just north of syracuse, ny. we know snow and it looks like u do as well haha. love your truck! hope i get this 01 ive had my eye on.
The reason the turbos loud its because its making 800 lbs of torque to push that much snow. You dont need to get use to the sound of a Cummins as many outside of the truck might think,it quite the opposite you become additded ot it.Theres no sweeter sound in motor world.
i had a 1999 dodge Cummins dually w AUTO trans (47RE) went thru 2 trannies in two years i had the truck .. shoudve kept it and dropped a stick .. that motor RAN.. i now have a 6.2 litre gas Ford f-250 w a new BOSS 8.2 v-XT ..cant wait to use ....
@BlkJ19 why diesel its simple, more HP and torque plus it weights more then a gas engine so you can push more snow before the snow push's your truck around. also Time be hide the wheel before next fill up. diesel get better fuel economy to top it list of things.
This video was a little helpful. I snow plow by trade and would like to see more videos on techniques, have any more? I use a very basic plow and wanted to know if I should always start in the middle for better results.
Also how to plow along sides of buildings without letting snow pile up along the sides. I see that you did a little Back dragging for this technique. Pleas help.
@immortalcoffee Normally i would make one pass close to the building with the plow angled away from the building. then get out and shovel away from the doors and then plow everything in windrows working outwards a little more each pass. This one was lots of deep snow so i had to take a couple passes out of the middle then backdragged what i could from the doors. I also have the back plow to use by backing up to the doors and driving away.
love that cummins!

How long have you owned your Boss V, any major issues?
Lets not forget, a set of Boss wings would be a great addition to your plow.

@CATERPILLARD9L 4 years, no issues so far except 1 broken spring on the wing
