fucking unfair, street fighter combos... if the first one hits, you can get punched 10-15times, even in street fighter IV, i think i am a good player, but playing against freaks, it makes no sense to "Play", as they kick my ass all the way with 2-3 silly combos and i am off... its kinda mortal kombat fatality, just an input of a combination, and the win is yours....

Sadly no, I haven't really played many players that do really complicated combos, my style of playing is flashy as hell, I always practice my combos in training like homework just to make sure I have them down on a reflex level. Plus, you'd be surprised by how easier it gets beating people when your down to a sliver of health but you have a super and large combo to use it with.

It seems to me that a lot of these combos are made obsolete by the fact that you have to cross up a crouching opponent or be squatted right up against them. In actual matches, even the most novice players will stand up immediately when they see you've gone airborne.

actually, you'd be surprised by how realistic some of these combos are. When you do a deep, ambiguous cross up (not a blatant or obvious one) on a shoto or character that has a reversal attack that uses the down input (i.e. 90% of the roster) the mix up can mess up the input a you end up hitting them while their ducking. In fact, I've had to start adjusting to this scenario regularly on hd remix when playing online.

I never realized how nasty Ken's combos were in this game, there were some pretty impressive chains in there. And yes, you'll virtually never see these combos even in tournament-level gameplay, that's why it's called an EXHIBITION. It's like the NBA slam-dunk contest: they can do amazing things when not in check by referees or defenders, but you never see dunks like that during an actual game.

Combo videos are slightly misleading. Yes what they show is possible, but you basically never see them in a real fight. I have watched tons of high level Super Turbo fights and you never see anything like this in them. It's still fun to see the game pushed to their limits and it gives you an idea of the kind of stuff you could flukily attempt during a real fight.

Like I said in my last comment... YES, and it's not even particularly hard. Hell, I think anyone that spends five minutes practicing the correct motions could replicate it with at least 90% efficiency on a joystick or pad.

Of course, it would take far, far more practice to pull off the entire combo, and some of the other combos in this video are near-impossible, but the c. jab+Sonic is child's play, just slightly above complete newbie level.

You obviously know extremely little about Super Turbo, then. Hell, the c. jab+Sonic Boom is elementary to pull off, and the entire Guile combo is one of the least impressive combos of the movie.

I think the most startling things was the Bison combo into Super; damn near impossible to pull off in an actual encounter, but incredibly effective.

Its not that hard. Hold back as you are jumping in, then j. roundhouse\/st. Short then towards, back, towards + jab~kick (that will do the super, you'll kara the jab if you do it too fast, and it wont work if you do it too slow) then juggle with j. strong.
