  • I agree with intermezo. This tempo hits the melancholia and sense of regret that the piece deserves. And, btw, I actually find the graphic apropos and oddly captivating!

  • I feel the version by Horowitz is too fast in this movement. Rubinstein's tempo is just right but the best of all is the beauty of his tone and controlled use of rubato.
