  • STOP ARGUING ABOUT THE US AND UK OFFICE! Doing my fuckin head in seeing it on every damn video.

  • @ElvisLivesUpstairs well the us one is crap :P

  • The arguments are tedious, but equally more frustrating are people trying to force everyone to like both. Aside from the plot line, and some of the characters, there's little similarity between the two.

Trying to argue people to rate both in the interest of some sort of 'fairness' or 'reason' is hogwash.

  • Can I ask fatty to lose weight?

  • Dawn's laugh was so on the money at the end, perfect timing and sound

  • Pam is hotter.

  • stupidity puts me off my stroke

  • 1:35 LMFAO!

  • I love both versions of the Office, but the UK version is on a different level. For one, David Brent. Michael Scott was funny but just super wacky. David Brent's personality is just so well done, he is a lot more realistic character too.

  • Loved both versions, it's a shame that the UK couldn't continue

  • I swear to God, Gervais and Merchant are the KINGS of awkward comedy. they literally pioneered it.

  • "A-Levels" LOL!

  • I can't possibly be the only one who finds this constant USA vs. UK back-and-forth in every Office video completely fucking tedious..

  • @ElectronicAnthem not just the office the military the country itself its fucking annoying

  • @ElectronicAnthem The UK version of your comment is better.

  • @ElectronicAnthem Couldn't agree more. There are both shit next to the German one.

  • Dawn's ability to keep a straight face and not kick Gareth in the nuts is hilarious. I also think she is very pretty.

  • Poor Dawn.

  • appearance wise, gareth seems like dwight

personality wise, he seems more like andy

  • "if you came round to my house begging for it, i'd still do you"

  • Dawns kinda chub herself, def. Not fat but when she asked "why are you asking me?" I thought he was gonna say something like "well you're a bit of a rounder" or something

  • @iamaladycanyousaveme

idk man, tim and jim look nearly identical to me, the resemblance is uncanny. also john krasinski is a fantastic actor..

  • @iamaladycanyousaveme THANK YOU.

  • ah man gareths such a creep

  • Haha man I wish I could watch clips of the U.K office on youtube without seeing these stupid heated debates about which is better, the U.S or U.K version. They're both great in their own respective ways, so cut the shit and just watch whichever one you prefer. Or do what I do, and watch and enjoy both.

  • Dawn is gorgeous I think.

  • Studying my enemy before I strike!!!!

Rule 17: Don't turn your back on bears, men you have wronged, or the dominant turkey during mating season.

  • All right, can everyone stop with the immature argument ver Britain or America?Honestly,we have an alliance and they're both beautiful countries. Both versions of the Office are brilliant, and all the actors on both versions are genius in their roles. So everyone, just cool it and enjoy the comedy!Jeez.

  • I'm american and I find this hilarious. By the way, stop hating on the american version, we just have a different sense of humor.

  • @thedumbdwarf Finally someone speaking of something I can understand! I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this way. The thing is that people are not really this full of hatred, they would never have the courage to express it in real life - so they do it on the internet instead. I am yet to see the American version of this, but I've seen all the British episodes and I loved the series! Sometimes it's really "uncomfortable" humor, especially with David or Keith, but still so awesome! :D /Nils

  • Why have your hair cut like that....if you had a skull and pointy face like his then thats probably the worst hair you could have.

  • @HLecterPHD yeah that was intentional - face-plam!

  • @FenderJazZzZ Wrong - i just looked up his site, he says that was his regular hair up to a couple of years ago.

  • @FenderJazZzZ Wrong - i just looked up his site, he says that was his regular hair up to a couple of years ago. it says it on his wiki page too.

  • @HLecterPHD Why have an opinion about it?

  • @stillilllife Why have any opinion?

  • Both the British and American versions are fantastic. Let's just enjoy both of them. Some of the juvenile exchanges on this page, between so-called adults, are cringeworthy. But yes I have to agree Dawn does have nice tits.

  • can i ask fatty to lose weight?

  • i would totally destroy her!

  • @chingmafia Back doors = smashed

  • @gaelige0900

Come now you naughty Irish troll. Where as I have to admit that England is awash with comedy talent Scotland, Ireland and Wales have contributed somewhat too.

Scotland gave us Billy Connelly and Still Game

Ireland gave us Dylan Moran and Father Ted

Wales gave us Tommy Cooper and Rob Brydon.

    Credit where credit's due!

  • You've got to love Gareth with his personal space issue and his tactless banter. At least he cared enough to get the woman's perspective...

  • lets all fight over which production of the office is better! or not.

  • @TejMulen dawn is hurtin for a squirtin

  • Dawn is SO much hotter than Pam imo.

  • @localfox1000 you must think a hairy ass is hot also u dumbass, Pam is better looking then Dawn. now both look good but Pam is a women u want to married while Dawn is just a One Night Stand. i love both shows and Yes im an American and im about to say it "The Office U.K. is the Best Office" i wish the made more of it. as for the pam and dawn thing, dawn has a big head, dude u must not get any good looking women.

  • @pdogemp you're 31?? Lol that is a reply i would expect from someone who is 15 . Btw i knew you were American before i even finished reading the 1st sentence- Brash , cocky , arrogant and ultimately stupid- living up to the American stereotype

Now..i said Dawn is hot. Being hot is more to do than just the face. seems you have never noticed Dawn's gorgeous tits. Hmm maybe you're gay. And this lol:

'dawn has a big head'- I'm willing to fuck her with a bag on her head if it makes her happy. Cunt.

  • hahahha her little laugh after he says "if you came round to my house begging for it i'd still do you" is so fucking funny

  • So is he the Dwight?

  • @RA8IDP3NGUIN1 Dwight is him. Happened the other way round :P

  • @RA8IDP3NGUIN1 no, dwight is the him...

  • Why on earth would they cut this out? Time constraints I guess...since it's not related to any episode. Still, probably one of the funniest/weirdest scenes.

  • lovely, clever... a levels.

  • stupidity puts me off my stroke

  • Intellectual stimulation ...

  • "stupidity puts me off my stroke" haha

  • hahaha what a prick!! XD

  • I have actually been to Chasers nightclub in Kingswood, Bristol and Gareth would definitely have a brilliant Gareth style night there. For the very few who will understand the chasers reference this is absolute gold.

  • @tommoedwards Yes, I've been to Chasers in Kingswood too many, many years ago! Not only does McKenzie Crook do the only convincing Bristol accent I've ever heard from a non-Bristolian actor but Gareth's character is rather typical of a certain type of Bristolian who makes you a bit embarrassed to admit you're from Bristol! But there's no mention of where he's from in the series. Apparently, during rehearsals for the show he was asked to use Stephen Merchant's accent for the role.

  • is this show as popular in britain as it is here in america?

  • @JSasRays it was: the British office (and this is all off the top of my head) only went on for 2 seasons so hasn't been on tv for a number of years. Still got a huge cult following and left a massive mark on uk culture.

  • @JSasRays TJis16 said it right. The US office doesn't get major airtime over here though it is shown on some smaller channels... I love both versions. The UK is more subtle, but the US is simply fantastic and showed no signs of declining. The UK version was pretty huge here though

  • @JSasRays your joking right why do you think the yanks brought the show it was big yes .....you coppy lots of are shows belive it or not ,,,

  • @leemeires does it still put out new episodes?

  • @JSasRays quality over quantity

  • @Danthemagicman22 ha, i doubt you've ever seen the american version of the office if you dont think its good.

  • 0:43 - i love how Dawn says "ohright made your point" hahaha

  • The original Office kicks the American ones ass, as soon as American is put in front of anything you know what it's going to be like.

  • what episode is this?

  • How on earth are they able to deliver these lines with a straight face?? :)

  • So much better than the American Office. The American Office blows so hard. Anyone who thinks Rainn Wilson even comes close to matching Mackenzie Crook is a moron. Gareth Keenan is amazing

  • Thumbs up for Dawns big boobs

  • @Novinte You know your only arguing about this because the American one is so obviously more popular, successful and better written. Sure they both have there moments but the popularity contest is not even a match.

  • @izallskilfoo Hey, The Twilight Movie series is popular. Doesn't make it well written or a great production. Just further evidence that there are many folks out there that should have been aborted.

  • @pugilistofpower Touche good sir, but that's a different story due to it being a book before a movie. and that reply wasn't meant for novinte, don't know how that happened.

  • @izallskilfoo Movie or book, Popularity Doesn't Equal value

  • @magxsnyp3r No no no, I'm saying that the movie is popular because the book was, if it was just a movie I believe the whole thing would have failed miserably.

  • @izallskilfoo Oh alright

  • Classic comedy! Never get away with this in the states as you'd have 17 womens rights groups demonstrating in Washington and 124 lawsuits. While British comedy is more spontaneous and sometimes requires the viewer to think, the American public are served up with punch lines which are simplistic and politcally correct.

    Gareth is a star!

  • Class.

  • Thumbs up for dawn's nervous laugh!

  • Gareth is an absolutely repugnant character: a rude, inconsiderate, socially inept sycophant. So hilarious.

  • Can see why it was a deleted scene and not overly funny

  • Cant believe this was deleted - should have kept it in until 1:08 and then cut (like I should bloody know....) what do you you think?

  • @iamaladycanyousaveme

No, that's because British actors tend to be less attractive. Americans found it more important to cast the best person to play an average guy as well, our average guys just look better.

  • @ChannelTheHumor

probely because british actors arnt painted whores which depend of looks to get them into a good career, in britain we have natural beauty and choose actors on skills not appearance.

  • @bowlerama2

First of all, your English is terrible. Secondly, makeup doesn't make one a "whore," how prude of you. Third, our actors and actresses being more attractive than British ones has nothing to do with makeup. Fourth, our actresses, and especially our actors, don't overdo makeup unless it's what the role calls for. Fifth, our casting agents generally do choose the best actors for the job, looks have little to do with it. It's just that good American actors tend to be more attractive.

  • @ChannelTheHumor

Where are you getting that from? I don't agree with the other guys comment but it has to be said that good looks are definitely more important to American television than British. Remember that America has one of the biggest obesity problems in the world with over 70% of Americans overweight, and yet significantly less than 70% of American TV actors are overweight. In America there is a difference between TV ugly and real-life ugly. That's not true about Britain.

  • @silenceneverheard First of all, who do you think you are to say that??? Living in america....i have to agree with you....hahaha

  • @silenceneverheard It's actually 33% of Americans are overweight, which is significantly less the 70%.

  • @silenceneverheard Lol. 70%? Where did you get that? The International Bureau of Incorrect Yet Stereotypically Accurate Information?

  • @ChannelTheHumor No, its cause Americans are dumb enough to believe that the "average guy" can look like Silvester Stalone or Van Disel and all...

  • I need intellectual stimulation, as well as... *crkkk* downstairs.'

  • how... how does this entertain anybody?

  • @ModernTech18 Well, what do you mean? Gareth is asking Dawn if it's appropriate for him to "tell fatty to lose weight." He makes sure to clarify that he wouldn't be so rude as to just ask her like that...he'd probably send her an email or something. Then he tells Dawn that he doesn't find her attractive, but that if she begged for sex he'd do her. And he thinks these are all reasonable things to say.

Are you not getting this, or is it just not funny to you? If not, why not? Works for me!

  • Dawn is so gorgeous, that's what you call a woman

  • "can i ask fatty to lose weight?"

  • Al levels and everything? Phwooaar...

  • bwhahahahahahaha

  • A levels

  • @iamaladycanyousaveme SLAM DUNK ON DUMB BIMBO!!!

  • "Bit of a bloater" Ha Ha.

  • there jim is not even close to as hot as the american jim halpert

  • @frodis124 Ok, I'll bite, .(Never say never people)

I'm guessing this is the uh-merkin "Tim". Honey, the actor who originated the part your "hot" dude imitates, (not even very well I might add) is Martin Freeman....

go back and watch the ORIGINAL "The Office", every expression, every nuance, is copied from Martin Freeman who actually was the first actor I've ever seen do that reaction/grimace/expression school of acting thing. He Started it! MF, also a mod! None hotter... Case closed...

  • @grebel82 : I'm sure he got it from somewhere. When he stares blankly at the camera, that's an ode to Ollie, according to an interview. :)

  • @frodis124 He's not supposed to be. He's supposed to be a guy in a documentary.

  • "thats nice to know"...priceless

  • bosby

  • Little things like Gareth's posture and Dawn hugging her arms so as not to even accidentally brush against him further the awesomeness of this scene.

  • dawn's reactions here are just priceless.

  • @TheSaintAza Why does everyone assume I'm a dude??

Oh, I know, it's the reasoned argument, innit?

  • Anyone who likes the UK Office should watch "In the Thick of it"

  • @Cryer24597

    yeah I've seen that

  • 'Can I ask fatty to lose weight?'

  • If you came round begging, id still do you! . . . Classic.

  • 12 fat chicks have a problem with this vid.

  • send her a email or something!

  • I love the reference to Chasers the shittiest club in kingswood, Bristol. It is exactly where Gareth would go on the pull!

  • I love the reference to Chasers the shittiest club in kingswood, Bristol. It is exactly where Gareth would go on the pull

  • I name-checked Seinfeld and 30 Rock precisely because they ARE perceived to be some of the best examples of American sit-coms. Agreed, they are by no means typical, but even the best US sit-coms (and remakes) suffer by comparison to the UK's best output/originals. I've yet to see anything american that makes me laugh out loud no matter how many times I've seen it. Alan Partridge, Father Ted, Fawlty Towers all between 10 & 35 yrs old and still hilarious...Untouchable, sorry...

  • How can anyone mark that down, Made me laugh.

  • I would do Dawn

  • @moosey62 US TV is definitely shit. British TV has plenty of quality programming, especially comedy. finland may have some of the best TV programming in the world. but what about finnish comedy? please link to an example of finnish comedy.

  • @chatelet55 I'm just happy that here in the states we get to watch some of the great shows from britain. It's great :D

  • @chatelet55 please link me an example of finish programming... I don't think many people outside of finland have ever heard of it

  • @moosey62 but you're 48 years old and will die before most people who are reading this

  • @moosey62

British TV/Movies are world renowned for helping get political satire off the ground (see, That was the week, that was) we have Alfred Hitchcock in our movies department, Fawlty Towers, I'm Alan Partridge, The Office, Father Ted, Peep Show, The IT Crowd, I could go on for hours. God bless the BBC and fuck you if you disagree with me, your country is a joke.

  • @BelfastAtheist you play with your dolls, I'll play with mine....

    google

martin freeman interview Daily Mail, absolute radio interview... Top Man

  • I love Dawn's little laugh!

  • I love Dawn. Her expressions and body language are priceless...

  • I think the real reason Americans don't get the UK version is because the UK version is more subtle and you have to use your brain to enjoy it.

  • @MissTeeenAIabama

    lol yup.

  • gareth........ i have no words.

  • commandant15, it's hard to believe you could do that since you can't even look her name up on google ..

  • 'Bit of a Bloater'!!!! A classic British phrase!!!

  • Hehe, her nervous chuckle near the end is just perfect!! XD

  • what's her name, i want to look her up on google and jerk off

  • LOL

  • i'd bang her till the room smells funny!

  • @watanabehefuml Make sure to open your windows afterwards to let the smell go away then.

  • agh christ why do i put myself through it?? deleted scenes are usually deleted for a reason, i know this, and yet i persist

  • strange found the office on dvd the other day, series one and two for a fiver and this was in the episode!!

  • She is so fucking hot. I'd be well up for having her blow me for a promotion.

  • "You're the only woman I know that I don't fancy." Ha Ha.

  • bahaa her face after "can i ask fatty to lose weight?" xD

  • shes so beautiful

  • @hugoefoda ...and her dad Jasper Carrot is not exactly an oil painting !

  • "bit of a blotter"

    lol

  • Wow, I just found the UK version of the office and I have to say this is way better than the US version. I can not stand the US Office. UK always puts out funnier stuff than us.

  • @penska13 - I don't know 30 Rock is pretty good...

  • Her face.....lol

  • Criminal that this is a deleted scene. So brilliant. Oh, and even 10 years after it was broadcast, I still want to marry Dawn!

  • loool ill send her an email

  • Im still laughing bout Gareths last sentence. XD

  • HA HA HA!! The stupidity puts me off my stroke!!!

  • so true grebel82
