Of course ITS competing with need for speed you. And i remember the first preview of midnight L.A came out by Kikizo and said this game is pretty much incomparable to the other MC games, totally new and fresh. Oh and dont give me that shit about Unrealstic speeds when in pro streets the speed was totally unrealistic. Midnight club has always been better for core street racing

looks like fun, although rockstar is going to be competing against EA and Blackbox when nfs undercover comes out. I personally think nfs is going to be alot more realistic and fun. This game seems to unrealistic(traveling at 300mph) and most of all the midnight club games have had horrible handling.

From what I know, the damage in the GC verison is indee turn off. The final product will has realistic damage. You can't run ppl over because it will give a racing game "M" rate, and that't not good.

no its because car manufactures don't want to see thier cars runnin over people, thats why GTA IV don't have the actual cars

I hope damaged was turned off, because the results of impacts sucked! On a side note, Mic, I hate you for being able to go to this convention, but hey I get MC:LA 3 days before you can.

Like FortuneHunters said, the damage was turned off in this demo. The final version will have damage, but it won't be like Burnout, more like the damage system they used in Midnight Club 3! They had a 8 Player Network race (which you can see a few seconds on the video-wall at the beginning), but filming that wasn't allowed. It was a midday race with an nicely tuned Audi A4, traffic and damage system turned on! ...by the way - there are good chances that i will have MC:LA on the 7th too :-P
