I bought this game the day after release in the UK and i didnt even bother using up the free first 30-days that i recieved, i remember spending a day or 2 attempting to play it via destroying my computer, when i finally got on i had 6fps and the graphics were insanely bad considering i had a good computer..not because the game has bad graphics but because it was way too demanding, and I just found it an overall failure. meh, things may have changed but it was a deffinate waste of money.

this game is not high demanding, crysis and arma 2 are, but only when all the setiings are turned to highest, i have a mid range comp and i run aoc highest settings on everything and average 60 fps, so ur comp isnt good, its shit,

Trust me my computer is in no way shit, in a few days i can tell you my comp details to prove it, I dont have access to my computer right now. When i was running the game - my video driver was severely out of date, which i only fixed afterwards. That could be a large reason why it didnt run well for me, but i stand by my claim that it is a highly demanding game. Games similar to AoC, like WoW has about 8GB storage, whilst AoC was about 28gb if i remember correctly (figues off top of my head).

I can run Oblivion max settings at my max screen resolution of 1366x768 and it runs very playable *most of the time*.

I'm downloading the trial now, we'll just have to see. XD

I just ran AoC trial with everything on high (apart from shadows which I put to medium), with 8x AA and max resolution for my moniter, and I ras running at an average of 35-65 FPS.

I have played both games, and AOC has better music / sound, better grafics and better more fun gameplay.

Indeed - When we're talking about fun gameplay, WoW is auto-attack and press a few buttons. I'd say AoC is much better, as you may take controll of the battle itself. It feels much more realistic and there's alot more action. At least in my opinion.

really good armor, im happy that funcom kept the armor realistic unlike wow where u see little kids in towns with golden shoulders/ flashy chest pieces. in age of conan u cant tell if a person is a NPC or a character at first glance, adds a touch of real life to the game ;p

If you tried aoc at launch and you try it again now. You will be surprised about how much better it is. And soon it will be dx 10 too. you can see The directX 10 version on test live server

Get 1gb gfx card and 3gb ram and you can run it on max settings with no problem. I say max settings because if you click High on the video options, it doesn't move everything to the max, go to advanced tab and move everything over to the right, and enable everything. The graphics are simple amazing.

yor right about the ram. But a 1gb gfx card won't necessarily cut it. its more about the other factors like memory speed, core spped,shader speed, how many cores it has etc. you can pick up a 1gb gfx card for £100 put chances are it won't run this game on max.
