  • the epitome of tony Soprano

  • The only reason Tony won't go to hell is because it doesn't exist. His rationalizations about who deserves it and who doesn't are really pathetic.

  • Most interesting conversation they ever had.

  • Now we weren't educated like the Americans, but we had the BALLS to take what we wanted!

    best quote ever

  • @GallagherR16 But if you take what you want, but it belongs to someone else where is the honor? that just makes you a common thief. How much balls does it take to be a thief? And what about those that came of the boat but worked hard and earned thier shit legally? Thats balls!!!....He dosent talk about them.

  • @Manzeron holy shit

  • The zionnist Jewish Mafia is the most powerful criminal organization of the world.

Because Italian Mafia rule cities, Jewish one rule countries !

  • @Manzeron First of all don't say Jewish Mafia. It's the Zionist state Israel.

They are smart. They are not Mafia, they are hypocrits.

They have a strong, less smart brother. His name is Usa.

Big bro Israel says, Usa does.

  • @cfcyusuf11 They may be smart, but not totally smart. If they were really smart they would be able to get the palestinians off Israeli lands in the West Bank and Gaza Strip and return them to Eqypt and Jordan where they came from.

  • @Srd1126 Yeh. True.

  • It's ironic. Organized criminals are some of the most religious people out there.

  • That's it. This is my favourite scene from the show, hands-down

  • Beautiful scriptwriting right here. With lots of truth about "The American Dream". The American government and the private organisations are the real crooks. They literally are the cancer of this world. But every empire will fall. Like T. Mckenna once said: "Rome falls 9 times an hour."

  • no matter how much we like Tony, he is the monster, the scum of the earth. He puts money on the streets which sells drugs to little Italian kids who jump off bridges. Tony has personally made kids orphans and women widows.

  • @Vidinotes Dude, tony dosent excist in real life.

  • @Grisbarn He's a fictional character who we admire, like, hate, loath, etc.

  • it's business and we're soldiers. EPIC

  • DR. MILFI

  • IRS = extortion

CIA = drug smuggling , murder , conspiracy

FBI = enforcers , street soldiers , hijacking , ect

    Judicial system = money laundering

    Pentagon = usa mafia headquarters

White House/Congress = the "front" of legitimate business

  • @mrtundra45 you = ignorant

  • @EvilChiken8 oh and i forgot a few:

    Banks = Loan Sharking!

    Lotto = Gambling

the FED reserve = Financial terrorists!

  • @mrtundra45 loans dont equal loan sharking... i apreciate ur idea and the relativity and frankly the one i agree with is the irs one haha and at least ur not one of the retards finding away to blame crime and conspiracy on the jews... but still think about it.. its a fun comparison but still pretty ignorant bro

  • @EvilChiken8 hahaha banks loan out money to UNQUALIFIED people for houses and end up forclosing or reposessing the house or property or vehicle ect.. and putting the person into debt!.... EXACTLY what the "mafia" does...lol

Banks are ripping us all off.... and the US treasurey and the FED are Lying to us about inflation and the worth of our dollar....lol

    Basicly Jewish Usury.

  • @mrtundra45 yeah loans are always the same what makes it loan sharking is a 300% higher intrest rate.. cleary ur the one whose been lied to and filled with some bs propaganda shit its funny as ajoke.. but ur actualy taking this seriously.. oh and great here we go with the jews.. the pathetic mans scapegoat. pathetic men like freakin hitler all the way to the rst of the jealous internet losers whove done nothing with there lives so they blame the generally succsesfull minorty. fuck off

  • @EvilChiken8 Yeah Whatever.......

  • @EvilChiken8 good response. well spoken. riveting. thanks for proving that i put u in ur place. get fucked u racist scumfuckin loser

  • @EvilChiken8 racist? who said anything about race?

  • @mrtundra45 i quote " basicly jewish usury. "

which is u subsiding the argument to a pathetic display of racism and losing all ur credibilty for having a valid opinion. thats pathetic.

  • @EvilChiken8 I disagree, jewish usery has noting to do with anyones race.

    stop it al sharpton.

  • @mrtundra45 yeah nothing to do with anyones race expect for the jews...

    stop it mel gibson

  • @EvilChiken8 Jews arent a race faggot.

  • @mrtundra45 some ppl consider jews a race some dont... including some jews

  • @pat442389 jews are NOT a race......so many jewish people are comprised of different nationalities from all over the world, and different races.......it would be like saying muslims are a race, sure (most) muslims are arabs or mid-easterners, but there are also muslims from africa, europe, canada, even china......even though some folks might claim they are "jewish not white" the fact is there are many white jews, and black jews, even arab jews.

  • @mrtundra45 only 20% of muslims are arabs

  • @SuperBallashotcalla well yes, but the mid east in general are muslim states.....iran, iraq, arabia, jordan, even afghanistan and pakistan.........israel/PALESTINE was an arab state.

  • @mrtundra45 ethnicity

    faggot?

    insecure much

  • @EvilChiken8 here you are on about two month old comment...........like a woman lol

  • @mrtundra45 and thre u go with dumbfuck comments like a dumbfuck. what sorry i have a life ?

get fucked ur racist sexist and clearly insecure.

  • @mrtundra45 How about this; exact same thing happens in my country but the common thing is not the existance of Jewish People. What might that be?

  • @ANARKOTEROR thats a fantasy.....reality is.. its the jews. lol

jews are cool though, they should just share more with all the goyim before we see a holacaust #2 LMAO! ;)

  • @mrtundra45 exactly What I was thinking for about a year now. The Sopranos made it clear to me.

  • @nanotech2006 yep its all true... the sad part is it goes a whole lot deeper...

  • @mrtundra45 u should check out this link watch?v=N_WD4qr6uXA, its a fan made video, but its very well done, I can assure you, its high quality. Check out the rest of his video. Sure if your a fan of The Sopranos, have a good one!

  • @mrtundra45 Thats true, and thank GOD for that. The fact is the world is a jungle inhabited by tribes of warring factions... and it takes some very brutal means to bring order to chaos. It take a lot to protect even the little things like clean water for the masses.

  • @RelativistSlayer Well thats ONE way of looking at it..

  • @mrtundra45 you know jack n shit man bukak

  • @mrtundra45

Other governments are worse... keep that in mind, please. we have to defend and protect ourselves and those government regimes which you just mentioned.. are the ones that provide that protection. There's a good side, and bad one, in regards to the country we live in.

  • @longhorngent11 funny how things work huh.....OUR govt "protects" us from "terrorists" and "illegal drugs" and other bullshit......in return we pay a TAX lol........sounds alot like a mafia extortion/protection racket.

    im just sayin

  • @mrtundra45 all of which is true, none of which validates the mob.

  • @mrtundra45 I have to pay money to the American Mafia every week for the rest of my life, It's called taxes, LOL

  • Preach on Tony!

  • I have an unhealthy fascination with this show.lol

  • ok can we all get something straight my ancestors were involved in organized crime and lemme tell u guys this the US government gets involved on the mafias side. every country has a mafia and everything tony says in this is right

  • this scene is legendary, i was looking for it, thanks for posting.

  • chris.m. was evil, what he did to dolan was sick, shooting him because he didn't want to know about his membership in the mafia, because he was scared, but was killed anyway.

  • 1 person is going to get whacked

  • "Who do you think does go to hell" Tony says "the worst people, the molesters and scum, those people" WRONG. If those people repent and accept Jesus Christ as their lord and savior they will not go to hell. However, if a guy who has NEVER commited a crime, cussed or lied does NOT accept Jesus Christ as his lord and savior, well he my friend is the one who will go to hell if he never accepts.

  • @jvanley6911 hahaha , thats hilarious man. So Can I be the most generious man on earth, give all my money to the poor, help everyone I could and be a virgin all my life and accept the DEVIL in my heart BUT this will not get me to paradise? Shit... I must start smoking crack, rape girls, kill people and steal money BUT You know what.. I will accept Jesus Chris as my lord...;) Thats what I call the AMERICAN WAY OF LIFE BABEY !!

  • @nanotech2006 It is not even worth explaining to people like you. Your one of those dumb shits that take everything as black and white and cannot read between the lines. Good luck on your crack smoking, rape and murder binge. Its about accepting god as your lord and savior and LIVING that way. I am not saying that you can go rape someone and know that after you will just repent and be fine. Again, you cannot depict between black and white so I wont even go any further

  • @jvanley6911 So what if you live exactly like the Lord wants you to, you pray and live for God but you never uttered the words "I accept Jesus as my savior" would you still go to Hell? That would make little sense to me. I mean God told us not to believe false prophets, how do you know Jesus is not the devil? THe devil is mastery of trickery right? SO how do you know?

  • I get what Tony's saying. But boo freaking hoo on the struggles of italians in America. Alot of immigrants had to suffer and fight to be respected in America, and some still struggle. Italians weren't brought here on slave ships. There were no signs in stores that said "italians need not apply". Gimme a fucking break..

  • @pancakehead911 They were the second most lynched group in America, after blacks. Largest mass lynching in American was the lynching of 11 Italians in New Orleans. My grandfather was refused from college due to quotas against blacks and Italians. My Italian neighborhood in South Philly was redlined. Yeah, we don't cry and weep like some people, but we went through lots of shit. Trust me, they didnt need signs, they just told those "greasy, swarthy dagos" to get the fuck outta their stores.

  • @pancakehead911 actually you are wrong . . when american slavery ended sicilians were the first to take the jobs of the black slaves working hard labor for pennies a day. ect ect . . . . . .

  • i believe that it's true to a degree that everyone in the mafia knows what they are getting into as well as soldiers but who does he justify him and his guys beating and killing joe sixpack? Like when Paulie and Chrissy killed that waiter and took the money was that guy a solider too?

  • @bigtaxdizzle i agree. most mobsters probably think the same way as tony here, but it's B.S. they are psychopaths who don't care about how they affect others. chris killed the waiter, he killed his sponsor from AA, he shot the guy they stole the wine from, shot the kid in the foot for the cannolis, im sure theres other examples too. very good show and a great depiction of the reality of the mob.

  • @playadominical

No you're wrong. Tony is most definitely not a psychopath, because he can sympathize with others' pain and suffers guilt for some of his more injurious deeds, although his principal objective always is to benefit himself, his family, and his crew. Tony doesn't claim to have morals, but he does claim to have (and follows) set rules. In a way he's right; they're soldiers but just like perspectives of generals in war, there are "casualties" and at times the end justifies the means

  • @hehsy5sy5 i think i may have erred in calling all mobsters psychopaths... you're right, a true psychopath can only mimic sympathy and guilt while tony and his people (mostly) appear to have genuine feelings about their crimes. i guess what i meant to say is that they don't have the same values as most of us (im speaking for myself here). In Resevoir Dogs, Keitel's character said it best, something like "a choice between killing a civilian or doing ten years in prison is no choice at all".

  • @bigtaxdizzle

    Great points.

Chris also outright murdered J.T. Dolan his A.A. sponsor, simply because J.T. didn't want anything to do with him anymore. That was a pure evil right there. No accident. A willful decision, to kill someone who didn't owe any money(at least at the time did not have any known outstanding debts), or posed any immediate or longterm threat.

Moltisanti showed the actions of a pure evil killer at that moment.

  • @willia3r I agree with you on that one. The guy just didn't want to know anything about Chris's business

  • One of the best scenes of the entire series ... just absolutely mind blowing. This right here is the ORACLE for understanding Tony Soprano's sociopathic worldview ("people who kill babies, torture animals!"), rationalizations ("we're soldiers") and entire behavioral interaction with Mefi ("after all this time tellin' me it's not my fault, it's all a result of bad parenting!?" - something Melfi NEVER said!!) Plus David Chase's commentary on immigration and it's economy in the US. Fucking great...

  • @southshore516 The torture animals bit is particularly poignant. The times where he loses it the most are when an animal is hurt, like when Christopher sat on his dog and Ralphie killed the horse.

  • @southshore516 and the best thing about it is that you almost agree with tony... almost.

  • This scene really is a genius moment in the show, a perfect clip to summarize both Tony's philosophies on his life along with his relationship to Melfi. What a brilliant show.

  • what tony's saying might have applied in the 30's but now in 2011 its bullshit, all people italians and a like can preserve the things that mean something to them without entering a life of crime, and another thing, as a man who has been to italy i can tell you that real italians from italy are nothing like tony and the gang. infact real italians dont consider mob related people to be italian, they consider them human filth.

  • well tonny is the fattest soldier ive ever seen lmfao !!!!

  • @deering1134 HAHAHAHAHA true!

  • @deering1134 - Bobby Bacala surely?

  • Tony's distinction between himself, his nephew, undeserved of going to hell and those deserved going to hell ls absolutely brilliant in the convoluted rationale, twisted logic justifying his criminality as the true sociopath he is. "Soldiers" as military personnel are protected from prosecution of murder by international law, following orders in the chain of command, obviously no such protection is provided to Tony and his ilk, colloquially expressed as being "soldiers" in following orders.

  • Observations:

    1. I love to read the contention that, since "Tony Soprano doesn't kill 'innocents,'" the American Mafia doesn't either. OK, no one actually SAID that in the comments below, but even a cursory glance at the real history of organized crime would disprove it...so this has got to be just a bunch of dumbasses confusing TV for real life.

    2. What about Adriana? Tony ordered a hit on her. Wasn't she an "innocent?" Did she deserve to DIE? If you think so...YOU MIGHT BE A SOCIOPATH!

  • "..and some of us wanted a piece of the action!" - and that is how the mafia was formed.

  • Gandolfini doesn't get it....

  • We applaud our natural soldiers. They occupy 150 plus countries without any assent. The tough guys that we lock up in federal prisons are soldiers too. They fight their own game, admit their own membership, and always question authority. Guess here we are a bunch of fucking cowards.....

  • The real sociopaths wear three-piece suits and have the blood of thousands on their hands. The mafiosi play by their own rules. They don't kill innocents, and enforce their own law that you only abide by if you take a blood oath. Who asked us to take an oath? Who asked the 58,000 killed in Vietnam for their opinion? We criticize the mob, but the mob is us.

  • paul pot

  • Although I don't agree at all with the methods of the people Tony's talking about here, it's pretty damned hard to argue against his logic. Why else indeed did America open its floodgates to all those Italians? Just another source of cheap labor for the robber barons. But, as Tony explains, some of them didn't want to swarm around those robber barons' hives. They wanted to preserve the things that mattered to them. This was not unique to the Italians.

  • US Government = the REAL "Mafia"

  • @sonnyred5050 Since 1963.

  • I WOULD LIKE TO FUCK THAT BITCH MELFI !!!!!!!!!

  • This show is sex

  • Sitting in front of Dr. Melfi with her ridiculously beautiful legs should make you want to see another shrink after seeing her lol.

  • sociopath.

  • @HandsOfSugar did you notice how when she asked him what kind of people deserve to go to hell, he had to think about it for a moment and all he could come up with was rapists. since he commits every mortal sin except that.

  • meh acting

  • The psychiatrist the Lorraine Bracco from Goodfellas

  • Wow this scenes beyond entertainment here, very interesting ..however, and this is only for the ppl that 'understand' what im saying here, doesnt the mafia or certain organizations 'of' the mafia have connections to 'other' organizations under the same, singled unit.. (or at least it all comes down to 1 singled unit) like certain NY, LA, CHI, MIAMI, PHI etc gangs, drug smuggling groups, criminal organizations, national/international security intelligences, political figures/stand by's,

  • ..and im not hinting at corrupt governments here either, but rather something alot of ppl like to dismiss and not believe in at all, yes 'secret societies'..

  • Interesting stance by Tony

not saying it's true or false or anything, but it's interesting to hear

  • Tony is quite convincing here, but a second though makes you realize how full of shit he is.

  • @JDELUX237

Maybe, maybe not. How many slaves died on the Trans-Atlantic ship routes on the way to provide free labor? How many people work from sun up to sun down with barely any breaks in between to build the U.S. Capitol?

How children were maimed or died working in factories in the late 19th century before there was ever such a thing as child labor laws? Much sin has been wrought & blood spilled in creating the U.S.A..

Call the Mafia scumbags, but at least they were/are open & honest.

  • @willia3r the mafia is open and honest? you are a dumbass! the first two paragraphs of your comment were interesting but then you showed how ignorant you really are. it reminds me of a video i just watched.

  • @bankNbakeGuy

    Here's a 2-fingered salute for ya, buddy:

    ┌∩┐(◕_◕)┌∩┐

How about you masticate on that eh, guy?

  • great scene!!!!

  • james gandolfini is outstanding

  • I love Tony's rationalisation on how the Mafia & being in it works

  • LOVE THE SOPRANOS

    totally addicted

im about to watch episode 4 from series 3 - CANT WAIT

  • Most people here have a decent image of how the mafia works. Truth is, their operated depended on the periods of time. For example, gasoline bootlegging rackets were rife with the mafia during the eighties, during the Prohibition era they had the bootlegging of alcohol, and during the early twentieth century they had stuff like prostitution, illegal gambling (small-time craps operations, selling illegal lottery tickets, running backroom card games in their homes etc), olive oil importing etc.

  • Starting at 2:25, Tony tells the truth.

  • i hate people who think there mobbed up but cant even speak italian. i love sopranos/

  • tony you curb stomped a guy after nearly beating him to death with a pistol because he hit on his daughter.....

    but hey hes a soldier!

  • Tony's a clever sociopath.. He turns the situation around to where he's the victim and she's being insensitive.

Personally, I don't think he's that bad of a guy.. He's right, about what he says and it wasn't for LCN he probably would've been a janitor or some petty crook.

  • This clip shows why sopranos is such a great show, it doesn't gloss over any of the character's faults. Tony shows some naivety and actually some selfishness in it, he knows he does bad things but tries to worm his way out of it by taking the moral high ground. That's why it's a great show.. I still love T tho.

  • This is one of James Gandolfini's greatest examples of how great an he actor is. He makes it so believable.

  • I remember watching this scene and thinking WOW what a masterpiece. Cool to find someone else found it moving enough to upload. I honestly believe this is one of the most important scenes in the whole show. Im surprised every line from the scene hasnt been quoted or sampled in some rap song, like the scarface lines.

  • No such thing as the mafia!!! LOL

  • 2:40 yeah and your still italian an still stupid. Italians and african americans are very similar. You got worked by America nothing short of salvary and now we make you all look like douche bags or criminals. Thank you Jersey Shore and The Sopranos.

This is a typical stereotype. But your such easy targets you fucking sloppy unemployed pieces of shit Italians. An learn how to treat people with fucking respect. Instead of being a loud mouth pricks all the time.

  • what a fantastic role this Tony Soprano is

  • so true (what tony says)

  • This was a great scene I thought.

  • honor family ... and some wanted a piece of the action :p

  • not the type that deserves hell lol. he shot the guy over some canolie's

  • He has a point with the Italian immigrant analogy

  • One thing about the Italian mob.. they had CLASS and they only killed people who had it coming.

  • @oblivion292

not really, havn't you ever seen Good Fellas....Spider got killed for nothing, The guy who accidentally killed John Gotti's son didn't have it coming. And Paul Castellano didn't have it coming either, Gotti killed him just to become Boss.....

  • @ChuloBadGuy Spider was a fictional character (a lot of things in the movie were altered/ played up). And I know this because a member of my family was very involved with this generation of mobsters (from a criminal justice standpoint). The rest of the examples you gave were rare occurance. Mob bosses got snuffed all the time..what I meant was that if you were just an civilian who had done nothing wrong the mob wouldn't just corner you on the street, kill you & rape your wife..like the russians

  • that's not true at all....

if you were a civilian and got into an argument over something like a parking space (not refering to a bronx tale) or skipping someone in line, or just joking around with the wrong dude, you'd either get the shit beat out of you or killed.

I'm born & raised NYC, you cant tell me shit when it comes to those guys felxing their power with civilians.

  • and are you fucking kidding me about that civilian bullshit????

dont you know back in the day the mob shook down damn near every record company for royalties through out the 50's 60's & 70's???? how do you the the mafia makes their money??? by working hard??? by robbing other mob families??? no the muscled any CIVILIAN they felt like & if you didn't go along with it you got the shit beat out of you. What country to do you live in??? lol

  • Where i come from you get your ass kicked if you raise your voice to someone over that crap unless you can fight.

I took Karate for almost 3 years and can fight very well, i would love to see them mess with me or half the guys i trained with, then get a beating and be left lying in the street not able to do anything, you cant hurt people if you dont know who they are.

Also most of the people that i work with carry concealed weapons, so a wiseguy would get shot for making threats to them.

  • why are you telling me this?? lol I completely agree with everything you said, but I'm confused as to why you're telling this to me lol.

  • you are wrong spider was an actual real person,, if you did some research you would find that out. i highly doubt your involved or was involved. if you looked up tommy disimmone on wikipedia it will show everyone he killed and guess what Spider was REAL

  • @TdotGangsta9 was buried in the basement of the bar tommy D shot him in.

  • gotti was pushing drugs too. in the gambino family, that means death. gotti got paul b4 paul could get him.

  • This show is fuck'n terrific

  • Literally awesome. WOW.

  • A quick question, not connected to his particular scene, but to the episode that it was in. When Christopher had this dream, about him being in a hell (or purgatory), what was the meaning of the fact that it took place in an Irish Bar, in St. Patricks day. It's a minor thing, and I guess you could just say "he was high on morphine), but there's gotta be something symbolic about it. And I'm a pedant, and I have to know.

  • That's really for the audience to interpret.

  • @AlexDeLarge18 its because he's italian and italians and irish dont get along b/c the irish were here first so they picked on the italians. Just like how the British picked on the Irish.

  • The Irish didn't pick on the Italians, they saw them as a threat and tried to fight them down. Didn't work because the Italians and Italy is one of the most powerful groups and nations in the world.

  • You are an idiot. You can not be serious. The IRA would have wiped the floor with the mob in america or italy. Are you joking?

  • LOL @ doire7 - I'm talking about organised crime and you're talking about the IRA - Who's the idiot here, obviously its you! The IRA is a military organisation against British rule in Ireland, what do they have to do with the mafia? I'm talking about the Irish and Italian mafia in the USA. LOL Seriously and you call me an idiot

  • @furb393 i didnt hear the whole conversation so i really dont know what this is about but just so you know the IRA and the italian and irish mafias are linked together the guns that the irish and the italians sell and some of the drugs come from the IRA so that they can make the money to front there military operations

  • @kisame777 Whered you get that information from? Life experiences? Internet? some youtube comment? Everyone always says oh yeah the illuminati trying to kill us and oh the governments are gangsters. Where do you guys get youre information from?

  • @furb393 The IRA have serious crime links and many members are gangsters,

  • @furb393 nah the ira do commit crimes to finance themselves

  • A. You did'nt say that dickhead, you said and i quote " Did'nt work because the italians and italy is one of the most powerful groups and nations in the world." That does'nt sound like someone who's talking just about the mafia.

  • doire7 before you go shooting your mouth off, do your research - My comment was in response to gb10100 discussing Irish and Italians presence in the US and the battle over organised crime. I said the Irish tried to win over but it didn't work, because organised crime run by the Italians in the US is much more powerful and prominent than the Irish. You then came in with a comment about the IRA, a completely different topic altogether?? Don't call me a dickhead, you're an uneducated little twerp

  • words of wisdom by Tone"Soprano

  • It's interesting, at the end of the episode Tony does just what he says he hates here, kill for pleasure. (Just look at the way he was teasing the guy before he shot him.) Then he and Pussy eats in an Irish pub, Chris' vision of hell.

  • You know your stuff, fair play to you. Most perople dont pick up on that sort of thing.

  • One of the best scenes in the series

  • there is no good or bad in this world.

there is to these religious yahoos who limit their lives but to people who don't let their lives be judged by some invisible man in the sky life is either take or be without.

i'm not justifying what the mob does,i'm justifying the human right to LIVE THEIR LIFE THE WAY THEY SEE FIT.

  • "Have they found the person that shot him yet?"

    "No. Have you?"

    Lol.. I love Tony.

  • i miss this so much

  • Love this scene.

  • Good scene indeed.

  • One of the greatest sessions these two have ever had. My favourite is "What happened to Gary Cooper? The strong, silent type." But this is class aswell.

  • Betsy fuckin ross lol

  • This is perhaps the reason why LCN is dying in USA. USA ain't a country which appreciate traditions and loyalty. It's just money but coz it has so long been so corruptied ( long before LCN came in) it has helped the Mob.

Besides this loyaty of LCN is just a myth. And mobsters are not genius, they're indeed as stupid as average british soccer hooligan. Smart people don't go to Mob - they'll become doctors or scientists.

Gangsters including LCN men are idiots.

  • this is very subcultural revelation with one self but its identity can justify more communitys as as one recovers from ones impact on feelings but to give up is not answer to good as it comes along everybody knows that .

  • Not a bad speech on Tony's part, but too bad the Irish did even more of the heavy lifting than the Itallians or any other group.

  • Really!? Have you forgotten about slavery.

On a side note season 2 was the best out of the six.

  • Nope, haven't forgotton that. But here is the difference. When the Irish got here they saw signs "Irish need not apply." Or in other words, no one cared if an Irishman starved to death.

  • In England it was no blacks, no Irish and no dogs, but at least in America you weren't lynched.

  • ......The irish were lynched.... backras or red legs where the old irish slaves in the 1600s. the blacks and carribeans called them rednecks because in the south in the fields the pale skinned irish would burn very easy. the irish and blacks got along but when a irish slave or more the indentured servants escaped you couldnt tell them from the white anglo saxons protestants except maybe hair texture and nose...but the main thing is the accent, and blacks would rat on the irish..gangs of new york

  • I'm not trying to argue who suffered more but the irish can assimilate into "white society", blacks could not.

I guess this is wht black people and the Irish are such good singers,. It's said those that go through pain can put more emotion into singing.

  • Rednecks didn't get their names from sunburned Irish you fucking dolt. The early Ulster Scots settlers who were pushed into the Appalachian mountains by British settlers used to wear red scarves to differentiate themselves from everyone else. Hence the term redneck

  • fucking british

  • LOL @ NJRocks281, sorry I don't mean to laugh at you but look at the thread of the last 30comments, its just constant arguments between people (yes including myself) - It seems a lot of people give opinion and try to pass it off as fact - And no I'm not referring to your redneck explanation
