    The distinction between a ketch and a yawl is typically determined by the mizzen mast being located forward or aft of the rudder. In this case the mizzen is forward of the rudder making it a ketch.

  • im trying to make my own summer project.. one question.. how do you make the sail rotate and not maintain a fixed position?

  • The mast is free to rotate in the mast mount. In addition, the spar and boom are not fixed to the mast and can turn on their own as the wind changes direction.

  • how does one make the mast mount where it can swivel though? the only thing i can thiink is by making the mast mount bigger than the mast that's going in it but that doesn't exactly sound sturdy
