  • Did you ask your son how it felt to kill that deer? My father never actually let me shoot anything, Maybe because he couldn't himself. He said it's not the same as eating a hamburger. What I mean by that is I think he would miss on purpose because he's really a great shot.

  • what where you using slugs or buckshot?

  • very cool video

How far away was the shot ?

  • im kinda new to hunting, well i havtn started yet but i kinda want to. I usually love animals, but i love shooting guns. any thoughts on if i should hunt or not?

  • Good thing he missed the first shot or you would not of got the kill shot, great job on both of you though

  • 10 degrees and i thought going out this morning was gonna be cold in 23 degree snow weather

  • Fuckwit.

  • sad stuff

  • what type of shot was it? Heart or Lung?

  • Looked like a little spike to me.

  • Are you hunting in wisconsin with that bull shit earn a buck or t zone shit no wonder we have no deer but for a first deer it does not matter what you shoot

  • yeah but i mean what caliber

  • @HUNTING125 its not a rifle.. its probobly a 20 gauge

  • @mcwolves3 are you kidding me right now? that is the pump its a shotgun pump shotgun..

  • good times.. i love deer hunting xD

  • bang that thing at the start would have been on my wall... nice deer

  • why would you shoot a doe? when there was a nice buck in the start?

  • It was doe season.

  • @dtwright61 - then why wasn't he shooting a doe, but a small buck (spike)?

  • watch my hunting vids

  • it looked like a spike buck to me not a doe

  • if the antlers dont fork it is considered anterless deer

  • @dtwright61 Hey, I'm from Asia, so i don't really get to do such things, No offense but i would like to ask, do you feel bad killing that deer? How come you guys can own a gun? What do you do with the deer? How much do you pay to kill them or you guys just ventured out into the forest and shoot any doe you see? thanks.

  • @HugeDeek No, you don't feel bad. We have the right to bear arms in America. You eat it. You go into the woods and sit in a treestand or ground blind and wait.....and wait.....and wait....

  • @BrownieeeHD Are you serious? Anyone can own a gun in america? Why do you wait for the deer? why not just go out and try to spot one 200m away and shoot it?

  • @HugeDeek because its not that easy to find a deer. The best, most strategic way to see and kill deer is to sit still in a treestand or groundblind

  • Well chadcub, It all depends on what the weather is like and how far in rut... My buck was nose 1/2 inche from the ground...At 75 yards i figured i should take him( biggest buck that day out of like 9 deer) But this last season (2008) i spotted a huge 6x6 but i could track him close...:( but i'm hoping to go back and get him this up coming year :) Best of luck in your up coming hunts... I'm just cuirous, Where are you from? I live in central canada

  • Great hunt and a family doing it right. No road hunt here, out in the cold and skipping the poachable buck too. Keep doing it right.

  • good to see dads and sons spending time together good job

  • congrats to the little dude.noting like see a kid happy to get his friest deer.what type of gun was he useing?

  • nice, i remeber my first. way to go and keep it up

  • killed my first deer yesterday

  • thats good for him nothing like the rush of shooting your first deer

  • nice spike. I got my first deer last year. it was a doe, but im hoping to get my first buck

  • how old are you? im a guy and i harvested my first deer(buck) in 2007 i am now 14 i have only harvested 3 deer including my buck...

  • some of us can be deer "virgins" by not haveing good leadership to take us to the woods luckyones as yourself take god for the chance to start young (im 28 and yes im a deer virgin(sounds wussy dont it) but im working on it) keep it up

  • Yeah I agree I wanted to but it was cold on the little guy and we decided to take him and get out of the cold

  • I shot the deer he was just hangin with me he is hooked now hopefully he will get one this year

  • if you let him go a few years would have made a nice kill for your son..let them go they will grow

  • Just remember there wildhorse20 bucks do go away if anything spooks them! This year i went from seeing 20 deer a night to seeing 0 !

  • who shot the deer

  • This was a antlerless only day so we watched it walk behind us. It was a 12 guage.

  • congrats to Calab. What happened to the big buck? did you use 50cal.?

  • nice deer

  • nice

  • nice follow up shot, guy! Congrats on your deer! That is what we call in Montana a "good eater!" Fills the freezer and is a good time all around. Keep hunting and congrats again. Scott

  • That look alot like a spike to me. look close at its head just befor the second shot.

  • It is a spike in IA it is considered a antlerless if it doesnt fork. Normally I wouldnt take it but needed the meat and it was cold and wanted my boy to experience it for the first time

  • pwned!

  • first thing how many people call you farva just kidding man, That was a great shot way to go little man.

  • Right on thats a beauty spiker, what great backstraps he'll have. ***** Congrats. and Good to see you brought out Caleb hunting with yah Dad! Good lil hunt.

  • yeah thats perfectly legal same here in missouri a spike is a shooter in doe season

  • Great job. Nice recovery on the second shot. Congrats!

  • You shouldnt shoot a buck if its doe only. That was a buck!

  • It is considered Antlerless if the antlers don't fork off in Iowa so it was totally legal.

  • That looked like it had little spikes. Nice shot!

  • It was a spike but in Iowa if the antlers don't fork then it is considered and antlerless.
