  • @0602409 Agree. I have the dual core version. It hangs all the time. I had to upgrade the drivers. The X100E is the least stable Thinkpad at all time.

  • This is lot faster than netbook, performance of a notebook. I can play MW2 with very low settings!

  • netbooks suck even Lenovo's netbooks the bigger the screen size the better the laptop (note W700ds)

  • These guys at lenovo are con artists.

449 USD over in UK its retailed at 446.50 GBP

Current conversion rate is 1 USD = 0.64 GBP

449 USD is 287 GBP... and bear in mind 449 USD is after their markup for profit. Add 10% import tax and 17.5% VAT - so should be around 365 GBP - in line with other netbooks...

The Eee pc 1201n has Nvidia ION + dual core atom and is 390 GBP, better hardware all round (and runs games!). so if ur in Europe dont let Lenovo rip you off.

  • i like its official ad.

  • over priced for a netbook considoring the specs to... lol

  • It's a Thinkpad, you get mroe than what you pay for.

  • doesn't matter no netbook is worth that price.

  • You realize that there are plenty of netbooks that cost even more, right?

  • yes im very well aware of that, but... like i said if your paying that much for a netbook............ ya might aswell get a laptop or a decent gaming pc ? LOL

  • A decent gaming PC for $449? That's pretty much non-existent.

  • well a good enough PC then ? i've seen computers on ebay that are $500 with 4GB ram and quad core my friend..... now thats a decent computer is it not ?

  • It really depends, I doubt you can get a laptop with Lenovo quality, design, Thinkpad keyboard, trackpoint, reliability, and durbility all for $449, there are definitely machines with better specs at the same price point, but computers (especially laptops) are more than just specs.

  • Yea true, thats why "Lenovo" are good because there design and build quality is just amazing, this is why tey have expensive laptops and netbooks if you have the money then go for it buy it ! because i know i would een tho its expensive for a netbook i'll still probs end up buyin a lenovo.

  • @xMandalorex What if you don't have any need for that? If you, like me, need a laptop to take notes in school, a gaming rig isn't going to help much.

  • @odyssomay

errrr did you see what i said?

I THINK YOUR CONFUSED WITH SOMEONE ELSE COMMENT lol

  • Got mine yesterday FINALY a Professional netbook , it actually feels more solid then my X200S , one minor issue that I've seen on thinkpads and the S series netbooks lately is the sloppy loose fitting batteries .. This one is TIGHT!!

  • Does the cover have the same matte texture as other thinkpads? Is the screen matte or glossy? Are the hinges plastic? How do you like the latchless cover with no thinklight? Would you replace this with your X200 as your primary laptop? Does anything feel cheap or flimsy?

Congrats on ur purchase btw ;-)

  • the Outside IS a Matte finish But Not the Rubberized Matte of the rest of the thinkpads , Screen IS Matte , Hinges are Metal, Cover work Very good, Nothing Feels Cheap About this Computer.. Installed a Verizon Wireless card in it today and Im working on it right Now. Very comfortable. This will Be My Primary Portable .. will Keep using the X200 because of the easy access to the Hard drive (One Screw) I Have several Drive with different OS's for Experimenting

  • GreaT!! AT LEAST IT HAVE A HD3200!

  • looks cool

  • @FanGunk

    indeed....ugh no bluetooth = (

  • You can order it with bluetooth for $20
