BBTS is to be released July 12th on both Blue Ray and DVD. I've always liked this film. I saw it the summer of 1980 at the drive-in along with the special edition of Close Encounters. I'm glad BBTS is now a cult classic. The theme song is a classic as well.

You guys should actually watch this before commenting. The ship designs very very imaginative (compared to the ep1-3 shit we got now). The music was inspiring. And Robert Vaughn showed us the real meaning of anti-hero. Since 90% of sci-movies have 13-year olds (to pull in the "cool" crowd I guess) as protagonists, this movie is ripe for the remake (hey they did it for Clash of the Titans, which was equally, if more, obscure).
