  • Please keep doing what you're doing because it is cool. Great musicians like Mr. Bloomfield need to b remembered and reveled. Revealed too. Too many people don't know who he is. He is the most awe inspiring guitarist I've ever listened to and I love Hendrix, and Clapton's early stuff. Mike is also one of the most accomplished guitarists. Jimmy Page, Mick Taylor, Johnny Winter, Albert Lee, etc.

  • @cameltooth1

Michael Bloomfield was one of the most underated seventies artists of the story.

I like to remember to the world this wonderful guitar player.

Thank you so much for your attention on my vides.

  • Now that sounded more like Mike. Only thing I don't like is the sliding your hand up the neck constantly, but I do it too. Just not as much. It sounds cool sometimes and u must do it to avoid hearing extra noise after the note. Jazz runs in my opinion are where it is at when playing Bloomfield.

  • @cameltooth1

    Thanks for commenting.

Too slides on the fret? It's possible, sorry.

  • sweet sounding pickups! Check my blues in g.

  • @fieldfullofthistles

    - BigWillieWillHom :)

  • Wow!

    Thanks Willie!

I'm honored to receive your kind comments.

  • Hi Roberto, your solo is really good; well, you are a good guitar player.

I agree with you than Teles (and Strats too) are something like hard to give you it`s sound, you must make it sound with your talent. Other point of Fender is than they are noy versatile. They are very nice instruments but I prefer Gibsons.

  • Thank you very much for commenting.

I think Fender and Gibson are wonderful guitars.

It depends by our tastes and necessities.

  • Great job! I just picked up a new sunburst American Tele and Peavey Delta Blues 115. I'm liking the 15 inch speaker and tremelo. Think maybe I will look at a compressor too!

  • Thank you.

    Telecaster is great.

I think, a real guitar player should know how to play a Fender Telecaster.

Compressor? I got a compressor on my pedal board but I used it only few times.

  • Comment removed

  • Sorry, but I believe I didn't understood your comment.

BTW, thanks very much for watching and commenting.

Only one thing: I want to specificate that this is a "take one" totally improvised.

  • Have got to see you play "Stop" from Super Sessions

  • I love "Stop", a very great tune, but I got no a backing track :(

  • Oh man, that lick u play at around 1:31 is so sweet. great style/ rendition of bloomy

  • Thanks so much !

I'm very glad if you like it.

  • you rock!!! and yes bloomfield is GOD!!!!!

  • Thank you very much for watching and commenting.

I agree with your comment on Mike Bloomfield.

  • go down to the crossroads dude!....

  • is that a fende telecaster 50´s classic series???

sorry y dont speak english very well jejejej

    bye

  • Yes !

    Exactly !

This is a '50 Telecaster model.

  • Very very nice! I really enjoyed it!

  • Very glad if you like it.

Thank you very much for watching and commenting.

  • Fantastic to listen to the difference playing Bloomers on a Les Paul and then a Tele: the warmth vs. the brightness. He played 'em both so clean and lyrically. Nice stuff, and thanks for keeping his spirit alive!

  • Thanks very much for your nice comment.

I'm very honored if you like my way of playing.

  • Hi Brother, that was really really nice rendition. The way you play, your sound are just perfect for blues. I have subscribed to your videos and I really enjoy watching your stuff. Please make more videos.

  • Thanks a lot.

I appreciated very much your nice comment.

Sorry, but I got no much time for record my videos :-(

  • Dude you are sick sick sick. What a great sound you have put together. I knew Mike and hung with him on occasion before and during PBBB and Dylan days. Happy to share some stories. Keep up the great playin'. Your equipment is outrageous.

    Jim

  • Thanks a lot, Jim.

I'm very glad of you like this video, that it's one of my preferred.

Mike was a great blues guitar player, one of the best and I'm honored if I gave a good rendition of his style.

    Thanks very much for watching.

    Peace and respect

    Roberto.

I'm proud and honored to have received your comment.

Sorry, but in this moment I got no a CD with my performances.

In these days, I constitued a new band and we hope to record on cd some songs.

In this case, I'll gift you the files.

    Still thanks

    Roberto

  • dude the tele sounds awsome but i think you are in G not C

  • : - (

    Touchè !!!!!!!

Thanks very much, for your comment and for your observation.

"Slow blues in C", if I remeber well, is a wonderful Alvin Lee song.

    Still thanks.

  • Grande interpretazione! Sound molto vibrante e coinvolgente. Salutissimi e...keep up the good work, man!

    Roberto

  • great tone!!

  • thanks a lot for your comment.

    glad if you like it

  • man that neck finish is awesome. it almost looks gold it's so tinted

  • sorry, friend

but I'n not sure to have understood your comment

but in any case, thanks a lot for your attention on my vid

  • Good job dude. Long live the Tele!

  • Thanks a lot.

As I said to another friend, i think that the Telecaster, between all electric guitars, got the most pure sound.

  • Do you like gibsons? I always thought les pauls had a good tone for the blues. I dig the tele though, cool sound

  • Yes !!!!

    I like Gibsons very much.

Gibson guitars (both L.P. thay SG) are good for many genres, naturally also for the Blues.

Telecaster, as I said, is a wonderful guitar that don't gift nothing to the player.

For me, a complete guitar player, must pass from the Fender Telecaster.

  • wonderful fender telecaster tone

  • Thanks very much for your comment.

Fender Telecaster: the most pure sound, for an electric guitar.

  • hey i think you brilliant would love to play as well as you fab job great sounding blues

  • Hi !!!!!

    Thanks a lot !

I'm very honored and proud to have received your comment.

Hope you like some of my other videos.

  • great feeling, great sound

  • Thanks you so much!!!!

I'm happy if you like it.

  • The blues is in your veins Roberto!

Keep playin man and thank you! 5*

  • Thanks! Really!

I'm proud and honored to have received this comment from a great musician as You.

    Still thanks

    Roberto

  • Just how I like the blues ! Excellent feeling...

  • Thanks very much for your comment.

I'm very honored to have received your comment.

  • The more videos you release the more i'm impressed by your feeling ! Very good job Roberto and keep playin' the Blues !

  • Thanks.

Evidently, I'm taking familiarity with the video camera! :-)))

When I play guitar, I search the feeling and not the technique.

For the blues, for me, it's necessary: 70% feeling, 30% technique.

    Best Regards

    Roberto

  • sweet guitar

  • Thanks very much.

This is my last purchase and I'm very happy to be part of the Telecaster cult guitarplayers group. :-)

    Ciaoooo!!!

  • I love the blues and how you play...if you make a CD of your blues songs please let me know....ciao

  • Hi, Martha!

I'm very proud and honored to have received Your kind comment.

In the past, I played as a semi-professional musician, but now I got a regular work, a wife, two sons and I play only for fun.

Only sometimes, I play with my old friends in some pub or bar.

If I'll record a cd (I got some ideas) I'll send you the cd. Promised!

    Still thanks

    Peace and respect

    Roberto (Italy)

  • Very nice Blues licks.

    Hat off! *****

  • Wooooow!

    Thaaaaanks! :-)))

  • o nice sound

  • thanks very much for your comment

  • Some really nice playing here. May I make a suggestion ?Over the ascending Am and Bm chords try to incorporate a G MAJOR scale . That way you'll play the changes . I believe it will add a little more variety to Minor pentatonic soloing . Well done. Nice phrasing too. Great tone.

  • Thanks very much for your nice comment.

I never prepare my solos. Naturally, they could play always better.

Next time I try to follow your suggests and still thanks for your attention

  • Love this 5*...I LOVE blues

    Dominique

  • Thanks very much for your kind comment.

    Ciao from Italy. :-)

    Best Wishes

  • Thank you very much.

I'm honored to have received your comment.

    Richard

  • Hi, Riiiiiiiick!!!!!

    Thaaaaanks very much!

    I'm very honored.

I hope to see very soon some new videos of the great R1CKtheROCK.

    Ciao :-)

    Roberto.

  • very nice. i'd never heard of michael bloomfield, so thanks for making me discover him

    Ciao

    Roberto.

  • Rob, serioulsy, you've got to stop posting all these great guitar playing clips. It's partly your fault I'm so addicted to youtube...lol! :)J/K! of course, another great clip....keep up the good work brother. Always look forward to another rob62 gtr vid. Ciao`

  • Thaaaaanks!!!!

In this period I play a lot of time and I recorded various videos.

    Sorry, but you'll see/listen others. :-)

    Ciaoooo

    Roby

  • Wow! Great sound!

    I love blues :)

  • Thanks very much, Lady.

    The Blues......are the roots. :-)

    Remember:

a guitar player that don't know how to play the Blues, is not a guitar player.

    Ciao

    Roberto

  • Very nice but did you know that Slow Blues in C is the name of a great Ten Years After blues song?

Your improvisation and feeling are great.

  • First of all, thanks very much for your comment.

After my shoulders you can see a part of my CD collection.

As I said in my profile, Im a great lover of the british blues and of the british guitar players of this period.

I am an admirer of Alvin Lee and I can say you that when I was 15 or 16, I learned the first guitar licks on the various classic tunes of the british blues bands.

One of these, was Slow Blues in C, principally the version proposed on Recorded Live.

    Ciao

    Roberto

  • Oh the sweet sound of a Tele!!! 5*****

  • You said right!!!!!

The sweet sound of a Tele.

Sometimes, we forget to catch only the sounds of a guitar and a amplifier and nothing other.

    Ciaoooo

    Roberto.

  • Fabulous blues jam...love the tele ! *****

  • Thanks a lot Bob!!!

Yes, this Tele is very good but also you, are an owner of an excellent Tele, it's right?

    Ciaooooo!!!!

    Bob (sorry..... Roby) :-)))

  • Right...a reissue 1952 Telecaster! :)

  • Just beautiful! I love that "primal cry" in your playing.

  • Thanks a lot!

I'm happy to receive this comment.

:-D When I was young, I haven't much money for buy good guitars. Now, I got some money (not too much) and I love to collect guitars.

In the past I bought, then sold my guitars (I sold also a '66 Strato...aaaaargh!!!!).

    Now only buy.

    Ciaooo

    Roberto.

    Grazie davvero.

Mi fa piacere se ti è piaciuto.

Ciao, si a te che ad Enry.

  • è arrivata nla nuova Tele eh??grande, ottimo!

    Ciao

    Roberto

  • great telecaster sound and playing! a fine tribute

  • You asked me more Blues, some days ago.

    Do you remember? :-D

Here I am with 100% Blues tune.

Thanks very much for your comment.

    Peace

    Roberto.

  • Michael Bloomfield, one of the best electric blues players ever... you certainly did justice in this tribute!

    great playing Roby.

  • Hi, my friend!

Thanks very much for your comment.

Yes, Mike was one of the most influents guitar players of the blues/rock.

I'm honored to have received your comment.

    Ciao from Italy

    Roberto.

  • hey Roby ! Very great playing, You've really got the style of Mike. You know, last week i was listening to Paul Butterfield blues band and Super Session and everytime Mike played a lick i was thinking to you. Really, you've got it !

  • Hi!

Thanks a lot for your comment.

When I decided to play this tune to remember Mike Bloomfield, I thought to play in the "Albert's Shuffle" style.

    Ciao

    Roberto

  • I love it Roby --- GREAT blues, I love the blues :)

You play it really superb here. Great talent.

    Ciao

  • Thanks Herl!

I'm proud to receive your comment.

I believe I made a honest work with my guitar and think to have given a good homage to a great musician

Have a good work with your drums, ok?

    Ciaoooooo

    Roberto

  • Oh yeah, it was fabulous. With respect to the drums, I try .. I try, brother :)

    Ciao

  • grande robymike62gtr...5*****!

  • Ti ringrazio moltissimo.

    Roberto.

  • Very nice... as always. Beautiful technique and tone! Love the Tele bridge position.

  • Thanks very much.

I like to play blues and rock, but I think that the blues is my best dimension.

I agree with you: the bridge position of a Tele is very good.

I'm very happy if you like my videos.

    Thanks for your support.

    Roberto

  • Sounds Great Roberto!.I Like The Strats Better Then the Teles Though...Bloomfield Was Great!!! He Played a Single Cutaway Les Paul Mostly..A Sunburst and Goldtop....Great Player!!! We lost him Too Soon Too Like Jimi......

  • Thanks very much to my italo-american friend :-)))

I always play Strato, as you can see from my other videos, but a Telecaster gives very good vibrations, when someone play it.

It's not a guitar easy to play and demands very feeling.

Mike Bloomfield played with his famous Les Pauls, as you said rightly, but he was also a great Telecaster player and I agree with you, when you say that we lost Michael too soon :(

    Ciaooooo from Italy!!!!

    Roberto

  • Yes Roberto He did Play The Telecaster as Well ...I Remember The Les Pauls Especially on The Super session Albums and The Grape Jam He Did With Moby Grape..I Think The Les Pauls Give him A Much Better Tone for His Style...Better Sustain as Well.....Arriverderci From America!!!!

  • How many guitars do you own, Roberto? LOL

    Great blues jamming, my friend!

    Stu

  • Many thanks for your comment, Stu

    and for your usual kindness.

I think a made a good work with a guitar that "doesn't give nothing" to a player.

With this Tele, bought a few days ago, I have caught up the number of ten guitars.

    See you soon

    Roby

  • That's 8 more guitars than I own. LOL

You play all of them really great, Roberto!

Stay warm buddy, it's below zero here!

    Stu

  • I love to collect guitars.

It's a reaction, when I was young and don't had money to buy good guitars.

Now, it's possible and when I want a new model, i buy it.

    Roberto.

  • Hi Roberto, Bloomfield is my favorite and you do a great job playing in his style! If you're interested, he wrote a short book about life on the road with Big Joe Williams called "Me and Big Joe". I think you'd like it.

  • Thanks a lot.

Michael Bloomfield is a very important guitar player and I think he was the best white Blues guitar player of the story.

Unfortunately, we must say that it has a few wasted its great talent.

I know that exist the book "Me and Big Joe" and surely I'll like it.

Thanks very much for your support and hope you'll like my next videos.

    Peace

    Roberto.

  • grande Roby!! bel feel, bel tocco e molte positive vibes! :) 5*

  • Grazie Maaaaax!!!!!

    Ciaoooo!!!!
