This is getting ridiculous.

I use "Do......" searches all the time within Google search engine. It will roll as soon as you hit the spacebar key after the word 'Do'.

They need to provide a quick way to disable this highly intrusive annoying joke.

I just did this by accident. I was searching something else that started with "Do the ba..." and it just started turning and I got scared at first, but then I saw the suggestion "Do the barrel roll" and I instantly thought "Oh god google I love you."

In order to do this you have to have a browser supporting HTML05 (I prefer Google Chrome). For the best results go to the Google settings in the top right hand corner (looks like a gear) and turn Google Instant OFF.
