  • Thanks for taking me back to Honduras ,wow everything was so nice back then .

  • woooooow! this is it rite here. drop me off no the 80's. at that point i dnt want to return. GREAT FUCKING GROOVE,

  • Lol it felt & sounds like the original expose girls made the song but sounded like a demo and was replaced by the other girls.

-The original had the drive but I guess the label didn't feel it's was going any where so they got the boot.

-The new girls re-recorded the song and the label loved it and boom! A hit!

    I like both versions!! ;)

  • I have to say, and no offense, the girls that replaced these one's were much better. Again, no offense.

  • How did I get to this from watching Hour Of Penance videos?

  • i actually wish i grew up in the 80s, it looked so fun

  • @TheAmazingCG That's kinda sad that a lot of people say that. Some just can't accept the time they're in and deal with it, instead of wishing they were part of a period long gone.

  • Better music back then...

  • Why the fuck was this glorious song not in either GTA VIce City or Vice City Stories?

    Great driving music.

  • @LiamNeesonsDick And especially suprising since they are from Miami!

  • @goblinb

    Really?

    Even more reason!

  • iwish it was the 80s every year

  • @100mrahh I know right....is it me or it was just easier....IN 1985: 1 BR apt. $300 monthly, Gallon of gas $1.10 (maybe), grocery bill, $75.00 weekly, car payment $150 (if you had one) ins $75 monthly...it was just easier...

  • Makes me feel glad I was a teenager back in the 80'w, great music !

  • I remember when i was in the 5th grade when this song was released. it was so funny watching my sister and her friends dance and imitate Expose and all there words to all the songs, including the dances.. it was hilarious !!!

  • I can swear I recall hearing this song when I was like 3 years old on Nick Rocks in the morning before my mom and older sister went to school and work. That beat! Great song even if I am only imagining I hear it so long ago. Love to hear it now and the other songs by these girls. I hope that life has treated them good.

  • just met laurie miller tonight lol

  • It never ceases to amaze me how many gen y and z love this music. Wish you were there too. ~Gen X :-)

  • Hell yeah ! That was the shizz

  • The point of no return? Please return me there to that point!

  • um som inesquesivel impossivel não gostar? anos 80´s the best.......

  • Omg when they started remixing these songs in the late 90's my brother would have a new mix tape every week...oh i miss this

  • If anyone gets the time machine tweaked just right.....let me know cause I'm going to and I wanna be ready so I can get my jheri curl nice and tight :-) Todays shit music sux!!! And so do the fucking teens! No heart like we had.......all bullshit and trash!

  • Timeless pop

  • I'm from 89 n I totally think I was born in the wrong yr D: I should of been born in the 70's xD

  • It is neat where you can go just by following the suggestions, I started with Baby Love by Regina, love that song, wish I had it!

  • gostaria que todos do Brasil pudessem reviver estes bons tempos da música ,dos bons bailes quem sabe com alguns dos melhores da freestyle music,MUITO BOM EXPOSE

  • Ah the Youtube time machine...

  • Okay kids, this is when music was about finding the gods inside of us,expressing real emotions, rather than seeing what makes money and corporatizing the shit out of everything and sucking the heart and soul right out of it.

  • @rpm297 I listen to this and I am a kid HATE CRAPPY MUSIC, but I can listen to what ever....

  • @ponystars415 Hey kid, this was considered crappy music at the time but it is so much better than anything Brittany or Justin ever produced!

  • @rpm297 Well , ya got through to me. :D

  • @rpm297 You said it!!!!!!!!

It's sad we are now stuck with this crackwhore gaga and horse face bieber and kanye west pop garbage music etc, I will always wonder how these fucktards think todays horse shit music is way better that it has to dominate the radio airwaves to subject us to listen to the good stuff on youtube or ipods only...Seriously WTF??

  • @rpm297 Quit with your Philosophy and enjoy the damn song.

  • I wish Doc Brown would hurry up with that DeLorean transformation so I can go back to the 1980's as well! I totally agree that today's music has zero rythmn and everything is so repetitious in both lyrics and beats! It was so saddening to see music dissapate over the last 30 years... where are the real artists?

  • @mexicancomic13 We are working at theme parks, theatre shows, Cirque or some day job that has absolutely nothing to do with music so we can support our selves and our families and get a little artistic fulfillment at night or on weekends playing out stuff of course depending on the venue owners in your town/city and of course if you are living in the right towns/cities.

  • @mexicancomic13 no need, they have a hot tub time machine

  • @mexicancomic13 The charm is absolutely gone.

  • todays music eats shit!! where are the fckn time machines i'm goin back to the 80's!!!!!

  • hermosa cancion *-*

  • 80s best times of my life...

  • 80,s was the best decade of the music, 2000,s no good music.

  • classic. one of the best dance songs of all time

  • Opening theme to "New York Hot Trax" video show!!!

  • much better then the second release

  • My sister used to drive me crazy dancing all over the house to this song with the stereo blasting. I used to hate her for it, but how I miss those days!

  • These are the original Expose' girls! They were fired and the record company hired the others. Thats why you never hear this version on the radio and re-recorded the song with the new girls so the record company didn't have to give these girls any royalties on the song as well as the song Exposed to love.

    FN' record companies!!

  • @Daddybopper I remember them well I played Guitar for them on stage with part of my Band Nouveau Imaje, we did the Y-100 Musical festival at the Miami Marine Stadium and also the Miami Beach Convention center, shame what happened to them as well I remember after that concert I Picked up Ale of her feet cause she didnt want to cross the street lol all headed to this diner boths Groups with the Managers and everyone had such a blast wish I could relive it Ale, Laurie and Sandee where are they Now

  • @LouieBlu I thought Sandee passed away.

  • @MyidolGwen I just looked it up man that is so sad poor girl, I found it in Wikipedia under Expose wikipediaorg/wiki/Sande%C3%A9 God Rest Her Soul

  • @LouieBlu I am glad you had a blast with them. I dont know if you heard that Sandee Casanas has left us! She past away on December 15 2008. I know some of the current Expose' girls attended her funeral in Hollywood, Florida. There was never really any resentment between them because of the record companies decision. They were friends after. Sandee lived a short solo career and got to work with C+C music factory. Hope she is always remembered!

  • WoW! This original Jam brings back memories, I had just graduated from High School, and would hang out at Max's 101 in Tempe, Az, saludos from PHX, Az.

  • NOPE we cant go back, we are in the Future, and experiencing Future Shock.

All the things the 80's music was about was about our time now.

That is why you like the 80's music, it is happening now.

Put your Sunglasses on, and get prepared, now is the Future Shock.

  • Hell yeah! The big 80's! I was 2 when I first heard it, but I remember it. My aunt had the 45 single of this song, too

  • 80's baby!!!

  • fuck Yea!!!.. <3 this is the shit lol.

  • Super 80s party music!

  • The Los Angeles Man. Laurie Miller actually stays in touch with me. I want to thank all the beautifull LA women for making my life so fantastic. You girls have style and class above the rest of the world. The only limitation is time. God blessthe Ladies of Los Angeles and that includes you too Laurie.

  • This is the song they use to play at A's games when someone hit an HR

  • ol yea !!! this still kicks some ass i mis the 80's an yes todays music still suck's they dont know what real good jamming music is like not the crap they think it a hit sorry not in my book

  • The 80's, the decade with the best music ever, the decade I was born in

  • this is ok, sounds more of a demo, the second version is much better imo

  • always preferred Ale's voice over jeanette

  • @LAwoman1956

Exaaactly people with no talent think they are super talented and sometimes too good to even talk to you I always wished that I could of lived in the 80s to enjoy those songs when they were brand new but no matter what imma still keep 80s alive!!

  • i know that the 80z was the shit but.....y do i feel like my parents talkn about my rap music is garbage and the 70z music is dope. the point im trying 2 make is that music always evolves and altho we may think our back in the day music is dope, there still is dope new music out right now

  • @meezee44 Listen to your parents, rap music is shit(most of it). It only took me a few years to realize that for myself.

  • its to bad your a MORON, and will never understand what a true house Party was kid !, bet you dont even know 1 Dj !

  • why did the group change?

  • Seriously WTH happened to music

  • @JURYJOHMZOMBIE Alanis Moriossette let her personal life take control of her music and killed the innocence of a lot of people. Nirvana promoted misery, self pity and promoted that it's not fair not to be spoonfed everything you want in life. That's what happened.

  • @2OQP so thats why we have emos now ?

  • @JURYJOHMZOMBIE Yeaahhh, kind of...LOL

  • @2OQP what a shame this generation is pure crap :(

  • TAKKEE MEEE.... TO THE POINT OF NO RETURN...

  • thumbs up if you think the 1980s music is the best ;)

  • my ex used to listen to this in my firebird while she drove bad ass biatch once in a life time lily youre still missed but better off

  • I'M FEELING THIS SONG!!

  • That is certainly not Jeanette Juardo singing lead.

  • @FogerRox

That's right. This is the original version released by Expose in '85. Alejandra Lorenzo is the lead singer. Jeanette sang the replacement iteration released two years later.

  • great time & great song!!

  • Holy crap. 85? I love this song and we're the same age? I always thought this was a 90s song for some reason.

  • i love the part where they all go ooooh thats my favorite part

  • Amalgamation of music in South Florida of the period. Rock, Disco, Electro, and Salsa.

  • temazooo esto es musica vivan los ochenta, saludos desde santiago de chile

  • There's only one real Expose and it's the current line up =Gioia,Jeanette and Ann.This song isn't half as good as the newer version.

  • the club scene exploded in 1982, if you must make a comment, at least get your facts right

  • This music 4 ever in my heart

  • Thanks for responding back with all the information. When you like a band, and a loose thread emerges, you feel that you owe it to the original girls....to know their part of the bands history. Thanks for telling it.

  • An audience of stars where everyone was a celebrity and the stage took a place behind the more interesting club dance floor and cocktail lounge. The peak of mankind. The time the children of the gods walked this earth and all that remains is for others to imagine or remember.

  • 1980s best music Ever!!!

  • I've been looking for this version for ages.

  • MY favorit girl group ''SEXY'' ''U GO GIRLS'' THEN 'THE GO GO'S.

  • Turn it up!!!

  • The 80's were the best everything was new nobody was afriad to try something new.

  • What u know about Freestyle? I didnt think so!!!! =/

  • ya boyyy i miss the 80s take me back to brooklyn sun set park 42st 5th ave

  • So what happened to these original girls. I had no idea there was an original line up before Jeanette, Goia....why were they replaced if anyone knows.

  • @Kaspar447 Don't know but I saw that final line-up at the Del Mar Fairgrounds in San Diego, I think it was summer of 89? They were touring with the release of the single "tell me why" which I guess was an anti-gang violence theme, and it was a sellout and all the gang bangers showed up cause they loved Expose' and you could cut the testosterone in the air with a knife! Epic show with a tight back up band, surprised to see that Goia did most of the heavy lifting with vocals but all were great!

  • @Kaspar447 Well, since you asked. I happen to know one of the girls and she keeps in touch with me still. The girl who sang lead on point of no return is supposed to meet for dinner when she is in Los Angeles. Perhaps sing it for me live. Sadly however, the third girl has passed away, God rest her soul. When Laurie broke the news to me I had to cancel the rest of the days meetings, park on the coast and watch the ocean waves till sun down. I thought we were supposed to live forever.

  • I miss this music ... . now I get depression with the new music of today

  • If only I can make a flux capacitor and put it in my car so I can get the hell out of 2011 and go the 1980's. If I had the opportunity, I will in an instant. I can give a rats ass about flat screen tvs, smart phones, and 1000 hd channels. I don't have any of these things anyways. I would rather live in a time where the music was cool, people were more layed back and down to earth, and the ecomony was better where I can easily get a job and a decent appartment. Don't ask for much in this life.

  • @Mr90sdude dude count me the fuck in!!!

LOVE the 80's with a passion.

  • @Mr90sdude if I could give that comment 10 thumbs up I would. In 1986 you had to be stupid to not just fall into a decent paying job, enough to put a roof over your head, food in your stomach and gas in the tank. Here we have the internet but you know it's a good part of why things are so fucked up now. People don't need to stand in line to buy tickets to a concert, don't even need to leave the house. So many opportunities gone forever. Bah! But we lived in the best of times.

  • @batvette amen brotha

  • @Mr90sdude It makes me feel so low to hear others say they would rather leave this place and go back to that time in the 80's where we owned the world and ruled it with love. With every compromise since then we slip further into darkness, trading what we took for granted by following a cyber fascination that has lead us into a box all alone.

  • @vasallizinni I didn't get your post, it was either so philosophical that only in your mind did it make sense, or you really were ranting.

  • Thumbs Up For The 80's Thanks To

    Lisa Lisa,Trinere Debbie Deb'The Cult Jam,Shannon,Stacey Q

  • Love this song...one of my old time favs. I'm an 80's chick myself :) Hey Alejandra kinda looks like Lady Ga Ga, or the other way around.

  • @sunseree" Or the other way around"?!!! Sunseree, these women were singing 26 years ago. They are now in their 40's. What makes you think that they took from an unborn child, not even a twinkling in Gaga's mother's eye? Why do the kids of the 90's keep thinking that Gaga is an oridginal when she herself took from the originators? Grace Jones, TLC, Cher, Madonna, Patti Labelle, Expose' and anyone else from the 80's- 90's period are the originators over Gaga and anyone else today.

  • @Calvin375 Calm down...why would i say that they took from an unborn child? What kind of sense does that make? All i was saying was that the resembalance was similar. I don't think Lady GaGa is an original, in fact i don't even like her.

  • @sunseree Well, you were the one who made the statement,"Or the other way around", which implies she came before the others of that time period.

  • I love this music - even tho it basically sounds like a Megaman soundtrack.

  • i knew there was this version.. everytime i hear the other version ..i get so disappointed ..this is the one i remember!! love it!! ;0)

  • @jeans985

whats the newer version, the new members of expose sang their version?

  • All i can say is Lisa P from Adventureland.I love me some lisa P

  • (Posted by Youtube Stream for iPhone (yst.me) on behalf of Blumentritt at twitter)

  • This is the better version. The re-release they did a few months later was ruined by the one chick shreeking after they sang the chorus.

  • I was a young buck fumbling with bra straps when this song came out - great times!

  • I remember when this was played on the radio. I miss the 1980s.

  • LOVE the original always!

  • bringing me way back wow 1985 mmmm love it

  • This was the year that the club scene EXPLODED, and EVERYONE became self-aware at the same time! This song really started the whole shibang, in my mind! Grunge killed some things off, but the 2000's really killed music, eventually.......now, all we have are islands of quality music. in the 80's, EVERYONE danced, young, old, fat, thin, boy, girl, gay, straight, drugs or NOT.....EVERYONE danced. Life really WAS checked at the door, and now, it's not about fun or love anymore.....

  • @thegenie1

I'm convinced (good) music died in 1997. Thank God for Adele and Beth Ditto!

  • @thegenie1 I agree with you, and this version of the song is the best, but like you said we only have recordings of good music. I appreciate the people playing music now but by far they cant compare to the past.

  • @thegenie1--You know that's right. In the 90's, all of that died, and we now have to live with the horrible aftermath. That's one reason why I don't bother checking out the new music with a few exceptions here and there. I hope all of that changes now in the 2010's.

  • @thegenie1 Today It's about getting ahead of everyone else no matter how many bodies you have to crawl over, and then buying that thing that they have brainwashed you into believing you need to make your life worth living. Give me a time machine and I'll set it for June 1 1985 and this sick New World Order world can kiss my @SS!

  • @thegenie1 I agree 100%!!

People came and dressed crazy and fun. It was about dancing!!! Now it's about bottle service and posing.

  • @thegenie1

what more can we say beside Amen.... i miss those days ;)

  • @thegenie1 This is something I brought up with a friend a few years ago. The 80s was really the turning point when people would act emotionally authentic. Everyone only cares about acting hard or cool now. Anything that is slightly silly is done for the sake of being cool or "ironic".

  • @thegenie1

I appreciate that statement but I was in my 20s and I had some great fun in the club scene in the 70s too. Disco came before that and I was happy to be there for both and remember clearly when New Wave started in 1979.

  • @LAwoman1956 In my 20s now just went to a club last night all I can say is awful they cant seriously call what they play in clubs now music its pure garbage I wish I could of been in the clubs when you were when real music actually existed!!

  • @ManningHhh

There are only a few good songs to dance now but not like before and I'm positive you would have loved being in the clubs back in the day, it was a different time. people didn't act like they do now like they all think they are super stars or something, especially if they relocate to Los Angeles. I'm a native and have never acted like that.

  • @thegenie1

Wow... that really spoke volumes!! Thanks!

  • Allright I need some Help, A friend told me if you watch "Your Baby Never Looked Good In Blue" and Paused the video at (0:00-0:01) real quick you'd see an alien. I don't believe in Aliens but I saw some weird shit can anybody looked that shit up and comeback & tell me what do you think that shit is

  • this was but in 1987

  • @darkdoku No, 1985! I remember.....very well...the year I came out......this song was the beginning....started the whole chain reaction..........

  • picture it -- 26 y.o. I listened to this on my personal stereo while crossing the SF Bay on the SF/Sausilito GG Ferry after work with a cocktail in hand. hope there are others who also have sweet memories of those times -- if not remember that NOW is your time. make wise choices b/c your memories are all you will really have. make them special. NO REGRETS!! TO HELL W/ GUILT AND SHAME. xx

  • Look at that hair..just..aweful. Music? Aweful too.. but that hair is ..geez. Why?

  • @ATRTAP You know what's "aweful" that you can't spell awful..while you're trying to criticize someone. -.-

  • @BreezyBaby820 no shit right ? what a dumbass !

  • @BreezyBaby820 lol!!

  • Comment removed

  • i dont understand how freestyle was overlooked by the majority of listeners on contemporary radio in those days, my only guess is that MOST whites and blacks didnt listen(which is fact) to this, just the VERY minority latinos who didnt get recognition in those days(80s) and was eventually forgotten... but that was then, shit, we have a huge presence now we need to bring this back!!! we need an identity again and stop acting like somebody we are not!

  • I saw these girls at Disneyland... for my best friends senior night... we had their dances down to the t!
