In story telling and quality wise your better off comparing this movie to: "Interview with the Vampire", without being a period piece, mixed with a Korean intelligence and sensibility. Thirst is dark and a tribute to the human mental condition, Twilight is a light teen drama. Thirst isn't a teen soap opera in movie format, it's about a cursed man who doesn't want to be the demon he's becoming.

I've heard some people call this a horror movie and believe me, it's not. One of the reviewers on the trailer put it very good; It's a mad romance. This is one of the best movies I've ever seen, and it's very satisfying to watch. Top 5 movies of all time to me.

Have you seen Martin, Lair of the White Worm, The Keep, Sleepwalkers, Lifeforce, The Hunger, Near Dark, Wisdom of Crocodiles (aka Immortality), Vampire's Kiss, Not of this Earth (1957 and 1988), Planet of the Vampires, Dark Crystal, Killer Klowns from Outer Space etc.? all portrayed unconventional vampires that show people they aren't the same stereotypes

And somehow our mind (which apparentely needs a much wider range in the sphere of imagination than the real, physical world is willing to offerb us) just can´t let these creatures disappear from our thoughts.
