are those feeders expnsive? ive been feeding ghost shrimp and guppies but whenever i feed my frogfish the other fish get it first. i have a lion fish a wolf eel a clown fish majestic some others. any ways to get him to eat frozen food because all the fish go crazy when live food are in the tank. respond soon please before he dies!!
With the fish in your tank even a damsel or a chromis will be snatched up before the frogfish will get to it. Try putting him in a bucket with the ghost shrimp and let him eat a few. Then put him back in the tank. THey are not hard to catch so that would be your best bet. Honestly this fish should be in a smaller tank without the other fish you have.
thanks were saving up for a 30 gallon for my room. i think i will put him in there but money is kind of tight. we will probably have him in there till august at most. Wont he get stressed if i put him in a bucket? he was a total character and i had to have him. hes in the aquarium video i made he is almost always out. i havnt seen him use his lure yet... maybe he isnt hungry... and im also thinking that maybe when he gets more hungry that he will get more competitive. well see thanks 4 the help.
hi i just wanted to THANK YOU! just now we tried the bucket thing accept we used a bowl. we put a guppy in there, and it took a few minutes of him staring at us like what did i do, then HE ATE IT! we put 3 guppies in there and he ate them! the guppies are like 1 cm or so. we wernt sure how much to feed which is the main reason i came. How often should i feed him?
Glad to hear that it worked. I figured it would. It may stress them out a bit, but it is better for them to eat and be stressed than die of starvation. Only feed them 1-2 a week. If you over feed frogfish they can die. Hope this helps!
